dang look at the sole of pac's shoes! they're thick like a mofo. if you look at a bigger version of the pic it stands out, they tried to pull a fast one on us.

funny comment about pac's hair too.

thx Ghost. that's what i meant about the sweating and the bike, if he's 2lbs under the limit, why bother with last-minute draining? maybe he wanted to be as low as possible for promo purposes. he'll be at least 155 id think by fight time, manny about 145.

look at the heel sole of manny's shoes!

and dang, oscar's shoulders start higher, yet his arms are still slightly lower by his side than pac's! thats a great reach advantage

Unbelievable, maybe they were hoping no one would notice. This fight is starting to look more like a scam by the second. And in that photo you have Mosley who juiced his way to a win over his current boss..... Bhop, who created his own weight class at 170, and brought up the smaller Winky Wright and Pavlik to have a decided edge there. I'm generally an optimist but Golden Boy Promotions headed by Swiss Banker Richard Schafer is looking so corporate bottom-line.

Sugar Ray Leonard would have been perfect with them.... altering ring-size, rounds, gloves, to any sucker who would concede the edge.

and i don`t think for a second that this was incidental...they`re sellin` those ppv`s, baby...
i can`t get over the size difference between shane and manny(of course shane has shoes on and may be standing on a step...still he looks much bigger)..and even without shoes, dlh`s arms hang so low...he has quite a wingspan..

but, shane`s a bit in the background...so the pictures actually a bit misleading....

oi vey!....manny pulls this off and i`ll be absolutely shocked...

dang thx for the comparison pics. he looks in top shape, maybe him being ghost-pale is part of the hype, to imply he's sick or weight-drained, and that pac will be stronger in the fight. how do you live in california and look so pale?

just wow. oscars going to beat the tar out of him.

btw if oscar loses, ill be fighting you at that same intersection gardenweasel. two men, two squeegies, two buckets of dirty water. one car. i might start collecting cans, re-building my bankroll 5 cents at a time.

btw crow im sure you know of bet365 and betfair already for live bets. i think bwin has live betting, but i dont use it. i dont think matchbook ever does live boxing.

I've gone back and forth on this fight; first i saw this as a glorified sparring session with Oscar winning on points.

Then i realised Manny only knows one way to fight; he's gonna come at Lola agressively, and oblige him to knock him out. Manny was seriously buzzed by Marquez left hook many times; he will not whitstand the power of the bigger man. More importantly, once buzzed he will not know how to survive.

Hoya by KO is the play, probably between 4 and 10. I've covered the decision, and added a little straight.

My final prediction is Roach will save Manny and throw the towel.

hey maybe we could sell it on ppv. or bumfights or something. im 6'0 220 but can cut down to 147. if you're shorter you can always wear thick-soled shoes, a white suit and a stovepipe hat. you can also borrow hatton's fat suit, so we look the same weight. if ppl are going to buy pac/hoya, they'll buy anything.

If Oscar DLH loses this fight, I will personally go collect our losses from him...

everything is set up perfectly for this clown...what a media phony....

there are a lot of guys out there who can beat oscar's ass right now....pac-man ain't one of them

26 hours from now we will all be a little wealthier

It will make me sad to see Manny lose, but counting the winnings will dull the pain a bit!

we could do that...just don`t feel sorry for me because one of my ears hangs lower than than the other and my head tilts to one side(i guess that makes the puss drain easier:shrug: ).....

be forewarned,though...i`m famous for my palm strike to the larynx.......i remember one time this big fat broad was giving me a hard time and i knocked her head back like a pez dispenser....

Hoya home cooking AGAIN ??

Pacquiao weirded by weigh-in difference
12/06/2008 | 05:34 PM
MANILA, Philippines - Manny Pacquiao was sure he was at 146 pounds for the final weigh-in.

So it surprised him to see he came out four pounds lighter.

Pacquiao tipped the scales at 142 pounds, way off the weight he and his team were expecting.

"Yes, a little bit of a surprise. Seems the scale got calibrated," Freddie Roach told Manila-based journalists inside the press room on Friday after the weigh-in.

Shortly after the weigh-in, Pacquiao went back to his room and used a different scale. He came in at 145.5 pounds, the same weight he had in the morning after breakfast, according to Roach.

Pacquiao was amazed at the difference, disclosing the night before and just an hour before the official weigh-in that he both checked in at 146 pounds.

"I didn't do anything to reduce weight, so I don't know why I came in at 142?" Pacquiao said. "It's hard to be suspicious but as you can see, there's a difference between how I weighed out there and here."

Pacquiao said if there was a four-pound difference between his two "weigh-ins", it could be the same for de la Hoya. "So does that mean Oscar was at 149 pounds?"

A clause in the contracts signed by both Pacquiao and de la Hoya will have de la Hoya paying a $3-million penalty for every excess pound over 147 pounds.

Pacquiao said he didn't want to make a big deal out of the situation. "I don't want to make that an excuse for whatever happens."

Roach agreed.

"Maybe the scale … I'm not sure. But I'm not accusing anything (sic)," said Roach, who incidentally, also got a positive response from the Nevada State Athletic Commission later in the day, allowing the use of one-inch tape for the boxer's hands instead of two inches.

"But it really doesn't matter to me," he added. "The fight's on. The fight's here."

Now, that's gross.
If Roach really said this, i see no reason to doubt him.
Hoya is a dirty corrupt mother****.

:142smilie wtf?????

crow, there are threads about that article in fan forums, it comes down to this: if the scale was corrupt, did all of the undercard fighters come in 4lbs overweight?

and theres no details on the "different" scale. maybe its a digital or analog, those are far more likely to be wrong that the one's they use officially, or in doctor's offices for example.

C'mon, you don't think Roach knows how to asses weight ? You think he just goes to Wallmart and buys the first scale and goes by it ?

3 million $ per pound is a lot of dough to pay up.

so what are you implying? that schaefer walked by in a bellhop uniform with a fake musctache and changed the scales while everyone was focused on the hilarity of george lopez?

there are rumors that the 3$ per pound was never actually in the contract.

this is a massive stretch, that an event involving hundreds of millions of dollars being viewed by millions would be involved in tampering. what about the thousands in attendance at the weigh-in, and those on stage? did they all close their eyes in prayer in the 10 seconds the scales were switched?
