If you are going to take me to school at least learn the difference between a majority and a plurality.

Reading comprehension not your thing? :0corn
Check the wording I used. I believe I said the majority voted for her over him. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I didn't mention anything about the 3rd party candidates or the majority of the entire vote.

I just don't understand the anger. What are you so angry about? Disappointment? Sure. But the anger being shown by some very vocal people is amazing.

BTW have you had a chance to google the difference between majority and plurality yet?

When you narrow the discussion to two, do YOU know what a majority means?

I'm angry because I love this country and having a reality TV star as the leader of this great country is humiliating. I'm sorry you don't feel the same way and take great pride in the election of a con man with no qualifications as president. I'm embarrassed for you. His kid offered John Kasich the VP job with control over domestic and foreign policy. What a joke. You voted for a complete clown. He wants to be president without having to do the work once he gets the job. Clinton detailed her plans, he told you his would be the "great". LOL. And you ate it up.

The fact that this country's politicians allowed a reality TV start to be elected should embarrass you. Hillary Clinton et al carry the most blame in this equation. So if you want to be pissed, be pissed at them for fucking this all up. This wasn't a vote for him (for most), this was a vote against Clinton. Your anger is misdirected.

You don't know what I take pride in and I never said I voted for Trump. I just find the hypocrisy of the vocal Clinton supporters interesting. I wanted her to win, for the record. I just don't necessarily agree with the anger towards Trump supporters. If you are a liberal then you are a Jon Stewart fan and even he stated the obvious- you can't label a Trump supporter a racist because they voted for him. It's fucking ignorant to do so.

Don't you all get it? Americans don't really think it matters who represents them. Obviously. And for the most part they are right. What is going to chanee in the day to day lives of *most* Americans? Nothing. I find it hilarious about all these people griping about "not feeling safe". I would love for that to be defined. So Trump is president and all of a suddent people are going to be walking the streets with bats beating minorities and same-sex couples? Ha! The fear is media driven, like just about all of this other nonsense. The anger against cops, discontent in this country....is all for good reason, but the flames are stoked by a biased media and at the end of the day all it does is add further fuel to the fire.

Nothing will change. It's pointless- the pendulum will continue to swing, back and forth. The answer is so fucking easy- a socially liberal, fiscally conservative candidate. Would win hands down- but neither side cares. The polarization of our political system no doubt represents the polarization of the American public. We live in a poisonous society- and the growth of the internet, facebook, and forums like this is the source of the venom.

Since it is a democracy

It's actually a republic ;)

Seems like some people are really excited for the Country to be great again so that we can really start winning. We're going to do fantastic. He's going to make healthcare more affordable, going to close borders, put Americans to work by rebuilding infrastructure, repealing NAFTA. Can't wait for this socialist platform to take effect. Hopefully without rounding up all the brown people.

No, the fact that our country is filled with enough dumb people that would vote an unqualified reality TV star for president is what embarrasses me. During international travel for business, I had foreigners laughing about Trump making it to the top two. The rest of the world is laughing at us, and I get it.

Please show me where I call Trump supporters racists. I think you are making stuff up, but I'm willing to wait for proof. Obviously, if I'm responding to a clearly racist post, that probably shouldn't count, unless I'm generalizing at the same time.

The media bias, lol. It's all the media's fault. What a joke. If the media was so biased, why did Trump win? Everybody is just too smart, lol? So dumb. The only people that bitch about the media are Fox News diehards.

Nothing will change? Okay, I hope you are right. Last time we had a Republican in office we ended up in multiple wars, the housing market crashed, and we ended up in the Great Recession. Obama took over in the worst of circumstances and turned things around, despite being fought the whole way by Republican pukes that shut the government down out of spite for America. Fuck that party. That's why I broke personal tradition and voted democratic.

He's qualified by the rules set forth by our forefathers.

Whether or not he's "qualified" to govern our country will be borne out over time.

Who gives a fuck what non-Americans think of him. Pretty much every country outside the US hates us regardless. That's half the problem, we are too busy taking care of the rest of the world and letting our own starve.

I'm sorry you are so angry.

Living in San Francisco, and finding this somewhat appropriate, I saw a tie-dyed tee shirt this past weekend which I thought was rather clever:

"Make America Grateful Again"

Gonna get a few for Christmas this year.

Moochelle isnt racially motivated, and isnt a reference her weight(how could it), but the origin is just as dumb as you would expect.

Mooch-elle. You know, she is a mooch for using tax dollars on lavish vacations, etc. Not funny, not clever, but also not racially motivated... some of you might need to find a safe space at your local university and decompress

I know facts aren't your thing, so you don't care who more people voted for in a democracy as long as your side wins. Congrats on electing a reality TV personality as President. You must be proud, and probably don't feel stupid at all. Why would you?

As a member of the top 3%, I'll enjoy my tax break. As Florida white trash, I hope you get everything you deserve.

Florida white trash. That is harsh dude. So you are in the top 3%? That is supposed to impress me and indicate your are superior to me? You have no idea my income level or lifestyle but you call me white trash. Just the type thinking that lost Hillary the election. Congrats! I really do not care if Hillary won the popular vote with illegals and voting fraud. I do know she was the most corrupt, bought, globalist puppet to ever run for the presidency. Stop crying and Enjoy the next 4 years. Lets Make America Great Again!

I did as well. A vote against Hillary was the reason. Period.

i dont get why you didnt vote for her. she is a fierce political ally for all corporate interests and woulld have had to pay back large conglomerates over a period of four years while neglecting the American people. trump was a TV star that got elected and i get so hung up on the simple fact that i just cant think of anyting else.

Count me as someone who didn't vote FOR Trump but voted against Hillary. In 2012 I voted for Obama, was against him in 08. Some may say Trump is a reality star but he was a successful business man long before that and I'm not one to crucify someone for doing things they want like The Apprentice. Show me someone that is a billionaire and I'll show you someone that has tons of lawsuits against them and/or their companies. More than not you'll also see someone that made money while in some way screwing many others.

Hillary on the other hand used her place in OUR government to accept money for her foundation and returned favors thru her office. I don't look at anything she did in our government and think of it as a success so why would I think she would be different as our president. I'm also tired of the status quo and wanted someone from the outside to get in and shake things up.

The good thing is that no matter who won my life isn't going to change. I'm doing well, working my ass off and nobody can take that away from me.

.

This is exactly the reason. But also don't forget how poor she is and how she and Bill struggled financially even very recently, according to her. Yeah, right.

Sorry Carl, if I could do it again given your stance on the issue, I might have done differently. But I doubt it. Still respect you at least speaking your piece.

Nope. Just saying the majority of Americans voted for her over Trump. Since it is a democracy, it seems important to note which one the majority voted for.

gary, the popular vote in election was skewed by our 2 largest states-cal ny- take them out, majority trump

rules in place, elecctoric college, adjust game to win it

if you are suggesting excluding new york and california from the popular vote then you should allow citizens of these states to say "not my president" without complaining. only seems fair.

smaller states should be ecstatic with the disproportionate amount of voting power they yield in congress and presidential vote. it's a pretty remarkable setup.
