if you are suggesting excluding new york and california from the popular vote then you should allow citizens of these states to say "not my president" without complaining. only seems fair.

smaller states should be ecstatic with the disproportionate amount of voting power they yield in congress and presidential vote. it's a pretty remarkable setup.

not talkin bout not excluding cal/ny in electorate as n place now- nice idea tho :0corn

but take off what hc won by in these 2 states, trump gets more votes :0003

Yes, eliminate the two states that contribute 20% of the country's GDP. Fuck them.

To be fair, GOP candidates do little to no campaigning in those states since that large chunk of electoral votes are guaranteed democrat.

I am not sure how I feel about the electoral college. I like that it gives smaller states, like my own, a leg up since all states have 2 senators, but popular vote makes more sense since WE are supposed to decide.

Changing gears, voter fraud is a major issue imo. Why is it that a state or national ID is required to drive or buy beer, but not to vote? Anyone have any idea?

Voter fraud is a major issue with little to no proof it actually exists.

I have voted in 3 states in my lifetime; Maryland, Virginia, and Indiana, and I know for a fact that I would not have been able to vote if I did not present my ID. I call bullshit on that whole idea.
I'm not going to reply, I'm not going to discuss it, and I'm going to unsubscribe from this thread once again. :0008

I know facts aren't your thing, so you don't care who more people voted for in a democracy as long as your side wins. Congrats on electing a reality TV personality as President. You must be proud, and probably don't feel stupid at all. Why would you?

As a member of the top 3%, I'll enjoy my tax break. As Florida white trash, I hope you get everything you deserve.

Florida white trash. That is harsh dude. So you are in the top 3%? That is supposed to impress me and indicate your are superior to me? You have no idea my income level or lifestyle but you call me white trash. Just the type thinking that lost Hillary the election. Congrats! I really do not care if Hillary won the popular vote with illegals and voting fraud. I do know she was the most corrupt, bought, globalist puppet to ever run for the presidency. Stop crying and Enjoy the next 4 years. Lets Make America Great Again!

You are mistaken. They ask for an ID, and if you do not have a state or federal ID, then they will give you an affidavit to sign. I witnessed this on Election Day this year

I didn't say smaller states should have a leg up, I said i like that they do since I live in one. This election has turned you into a little bitch.

Voter fraud is real. Dead people have voted every potus election in our lifetime. I may have pushed it too far calling it a major issue, but have no doubt it exists.

Still don't understand why an ID isn't a requirement

absolutely it should be

I have never been asked for ID.
go figure you live in New York

Only reason the democrats don't want id is so they can continue to cheat, imagine how many votes Trump would have won the popular vote by had each person voted legally

I like the electoral college all states have a say

Huge victory for dumb people. Congratulations guys. I hope you get everything you deserve.

Isn't Mexico building it? Pay attention......oh wait, that's why we are in this position.

Don't want a wall and I'm smart enough to know that a wall isn't going to help.

Yes, 59,000,000 are dumb. I'm embarrassed to be an American.

Common sense, Like I said, dumb. Gullible people

Saint: I stand by my comment. Voting against your best interest and that of your family is dumb. Don't like Obamacare, let's fix it not scrap it. Don't think the economy is growing fast enough, don't crash it with policies proven not to work.

Cie: Go ahead and compare the next year of posts and tell me if you think they are indiscernible. You know it won't be comparable.

I have an open mind, so I'm willing to give this President a chance to make things better. He says he knows more than our generals about ISIS. I want ISIS destroyed, so let's see what he can do. Having a more aggressive leader might be a really good thing on this front. I want a better national health care system. I think Obamacare was a great step in the right direction. If Trump says he has a better program, I hope he is right and will wait to see what he comes up with. He says he is going to make "great" trade deals and bring back jobs to the USA. I'm rooting for him and the economy. If gay marriage and other social progression is stalled or reversed, I will voice my displeasure. If we keep focusing on criminalizing drugs instead of legalizing them, I'll complain.

In short, I want things to get better and I don't think he's the right guy. Everyone seems to think a new course is needed, so here we go. Republican president, house and senate. If they don't make anything happen, I'll be the first to point out that this is a complete indictment of the Republican platform. No excuses. If nothing gets done, 2020 will be more change and possibly the end of the GOP as we know it. Time to walk the walk fellas, but I see your broken legs and can't see it happening.

And this is what is frustrating and supports my "dumb" remark. People know he's not going to do anything, but they bought in. Now, we get change for the sake of change. Dumb. If he was really going to do some of those things he promised, he would have presented plans, but that meant he had some. He doesn't and will scramble to put stuff together with the braintrust that gave us the 2007 economic crash. Awesome.

Don't care if he puts her in jail or not. If she is guilty of a crime then she should go to jail. I think there are some war crimes that haven't been accounted for so hopefully Cheney is next in line. If he does pursue this, it will tell us what he's all about......him. If he can let it go and worry about the country instead of being vindictive, I'll be pleasantly surprised and hopeful.

Such a moron. 70% chance, as in, she was the favorite. It wasn't his opinion, it was what the polling models said. Wake the fuck up.

Dear victim. Just because someone provides information that you don't like doesn't make it corrupt. Polls aren't being manipulated and the system isn't rigged. As an adult, I know that polls are just polls. It's the best way to measure how people are leaning on an issue or in an election season. When one comes up wrong, I see it as being inaccurate, not rigged. And yes, I still think you're dumb.

It's just hard to accept that Trump won in a landslide when he lost the popular vote by a quarter million votes. A landslide in electoral terms seems like it would probably be more than just 3 states, no? Your excitement makes you look dumb when you say things without thinking them through, yo.

Change for the sake of change seems like a poor excuse. Voting against the best interests of you and your family is dumb. We got to see the alternative to Obama and it was recession and war. Obama gave us economic recovery and growth and reformed the health care system. 22 million people will lose health care when Obama care is repealed. Dumb. Sorry, but he offered nothing but empty promises. That was good enough for some but not me.

I didn't vote for Obama either time, so he's not my guy. I can tell you that as someone that can't stand either party, one has done well for the country and one has fucked things up.

I haven't said shit about racism, sexism, or lack of education. I said it was dumb. People can make dumb decisions, like voting a reality TV star as president of the United States of America.

For the 10th time, the majority voted for Clinton. And yes, I find it dumb to vote against 4 more years of what Obama has presided over (economic growth) in favor of what the reality TV star and the Republicans bring to the table (economic policies that resulted in a massive recession).

Maybe Kim Kardashian will run in the next cycle. She's a reality show star with good business sense and no military or public office experience.

I am definitely blaming the party that was in control that fucked things up and I am definitely giving credit to the one in control when the ship was turned around. Morons can't make a connection and just keep voting one way no matter what, that's dumb. This was like a social experiment where we wanted to see how far we could push people before they would reject their own party. Time to dig deeper, I guess.

I like how in the next breath you blame the "other side" for making a reality TV star a more attractive candidate. Sometimes people are just plain dumb and vote against their best interest.

The majority of Americans voted for the loser. Trump won the most electoral votes. There's a difference and Trump himself said the electoral college system was BS right before the election. Seems weird/wrong that we have had 2 of the last 3 Republican wins without getting the majority vote.

8 years ago we were mired in the worst economic situation in decades thanks to Republican leadership. Change made perfect sense. We're in the opposite situation now, yet change was needed. Why this is so hard to understand is beyond me.

For the record, I am the only person I know of in my immediate family (wife not included) that isn't a Republican. I think they all made a dumb decision. I will tell it to their face if the subject gets brought up.

I haven't called anyone a racist or misogynist have I? Called a lot of people dumb but I think I left it there. Can someone quote my post if I am wrong? Doesn't count if directed at Hedge or Raymond.

Done. :toast:

I don't think he would have accepted it but I do think you are right in that her choice for VP could have helped her, and considering how close the races were, it has to be brought up. TK brought nothing to the table, and I never understood it.

Hey Lowell. You got that dude's number? I have some unused minutes and I have a message to share.

A guy named Donald Trump said Mexico will pay to build the wall. You missed that part? :mj07:

Can you list out her convictions?

Donald said he's going to build it. Does that literally mean he's going to construct it with his own hands?

I'm sure you will be rushing to post about any of his failures. Give me a fucking break, dude. You're a lemming. Look how far they pushed you and you still came out and voted for their way. A reality TV star with no military experience or public office experience. You should be proud.

They lost because they couldn't get the minorities to vote, the way they turned out for Obama. Look at the numbers. The same amount have voted for the Republicans the last 3 elections, but 8 million or so less this time around for the Dems.

The middle America talk is bull shit. They would have voted for anybody who's name was under the Republican banner. The proof is right in front of your face. How many times did we hear how he wasn't a true Republican, he's a con man that doesn't share our conservative values, blah blah blah. When the rubber hit the road, they voted predictably. Did you notice how religious values weren't discussed? That core principle that is so near and dear to the hearts of Republicans wasn't part of the debate. I wonder why it wasn't important this time? Any thoughts?

As I have said many times, I will support this president because it is in my best interest for him to do a good job for our country. I just don't want another Republican policy influenced recession when Obama has the economy on a path for continued growth. I know that growth isn't good enough for a lot of you, but it is better than what Bush did for us.

Are you saying that because you are frustrated? I was just making that point to show you how dumb yours was. If Mexico pays for it, they get credit for building the fucking thing.

If you are mentally capable, and I realize that is doubtful, go ahead and add a rebuttal.

Opinions on this?

I think it's ridiculous. Compare this to Mr. Obama's presidency. I don't particularly care for him or his politics, but I have been supportive of him in the role, and I respect him greatly bc he is my president, and I want him to succeed and our country to succeed as well. N

I don't see any good or positives coming from this not my president campaign.

S&L scandal, recession, inflation from the massive overspending and debt increase of the 80's..... those coattails?

I wonder why he ran on a platform of balancing the budget, lowering inflation, and lowering unemployment? :mj07:

One nation "under God" was added to the pledge of allegiance in 1954.

Serious question:
How do you think the price of produce will be affected when Matthew and Betsy are picking your tomatoes instead of Juanita and Miguel?
A) Price will not be affected
B) Price will go down
C) Price will go up a little
D) Price will go up significantly

Personally, I think D.

Making less profits sounds bad for small business and big business alike. My guess is it would go up significantly because the price of labor would sharply increase. Attracting everyday Americans looking for work is going to be tough when you consider how hard the work is. Minimum wage won't attract them, so the market will have to increase price until it reaches buyers (the workers). Americans are already turning to fast food and prepackaged processed products because they deem the price for produce to be too high.

I'm sure you'd have to spend more than $3.99 for an entire meal at your family's favorite Irish restaurant.

Low fast food prices are why you are so fucking fat. You should be a major proponent since self control and dignity aren't your strengths.

That is one of the beauties of the right wing movement. No abortion and no financial help to raise it, but plenty of money to incarcerate. Fucking joke.

We don't attack you for being a conservative. We respond to your moronic posts that you steadfastly defend despite logic and fact. You post BS "articles" that are routinely proven false and just keep posting them. You're now the biggest Trump fan in the country despite saying you can't stand him a couple months back.

You eat fast food 5 times a year xstopLet me guess, you never drink soda and only shop the perimeter of the supermarket.

Please post where you read that, LOL.:mj07::mj07::mj07:

Trump takes over an economy on the upswing, where Obama took over in the worst financial crisis since the Great Depression. Holy shit you guys are a joke.

The middle class has spoken. Over 1.5 million more people voted for Clinton than President-elect Trump. I'm in the middle class and in Ohio, things are going pretty well. Houses are being built left and right, new shopping centers are opening up, and the unemployment rate for the country is back to pre-recession levels. Things have been going pretty good, unless you read and believe the fake news stories posted to FB or get your news from Fox.

Well, you can point to small town Ohio that has lost manufacturing jobs for 20 years or you can look at the capitol city which is attracting companies like Amazon to set up shop.

What's up with the "Moochele" comment?

Why did Obama take the state in the previous two elections?

What do you think he was trying to say? I'm wiling to wait for his answer, which will never come because he's a complete pussy.

Political forum: What do you think Skulfuk was trying to say when he compared her to an ape and claimed she had a penis?

Nope. Just saying the majority of Americans voted for her over Trump. Since it is a democracy, it seems important to note which one the majority voted for.

Reading comprehension not your thing? :0corn
Check the wording I used. I believe I said the majority voted for her over him. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I didn't mention anything about the 3rd party candidates or the majority of the entire vote.

When you narrow the discussion to two, do YOU know what a majority means?

I'm angry because I love this country and having a reality TV star as the leader of this great country is humiliating. I'm sorry you don't feel the same way and take great pride in the election of a con man with no qualifications as president. I'm embarrassed for you. His kid offered John Kasich the VP job with control over domestic and foreign policy. What a joke. You voted for a complete clown. He wants to be president without having to do the work once he gets the job. Clinton detailed her plans, he told you his would be the "great". LOL. And you ate it up.

Saint and Jackoff voted for a reality star for president. :142smilie

No, the fact that our country is filled with enough dumb people that would vote an unqualified reality TV star for president is what embarrasses me. During international travel for business, I had foreigners laughing about Trump making it to the top two. The rest of the world is laughing at us, and I get it.

Please show me where I call Trump supporters racists. I think you are making stuff up, but I'm willing to wait for proof. Obviously, if I'm responding to a clearly racist post, that probably shouldn't count, unless I'm generalizing at the same time.

The media bias, lol. It's all the media's fault. What a joke. If the media was so biased, why did Trump win? Everybody is just too smart, lol? So dumb. The only people that bitch about the media are Fox News diehards.

Nothing will change? Okay, I hope you are right. Last time we had a Republican in office we ended up in multiple wars, the housing market crashed, and we ended up in the Great Recession. Obama took over in the worst of circumstances and turned things around, despite being fought the whole way by Republican pukes that shut the government down out of spite for America. Fuck that party. That's why I broke personal tradition and voted democratic.

Yes, eliminate the two states that contribute 20% of the country's GDP. Fuck them.

I'm sure Trump will take care of them. Didn't The Apprentice focus on charitable giving?

Can't you fucking read? Homeless don't vote, illegals do. Sheesh.

Why should smaller states get a leg up?

Voter fraud is a major issue with little to no proof it actually exists.
