Diaz is going to wreck BJ. BJ is going to look as bad as he's ever looked after a fight. BJ likes to stand and bang and we all know Diaz will use that little slapping jab all night with some harder shots thrown in. The difference in reach will be way too much here. I like the fight because both guys can be dicks and it could make for some not so kind words but in all reality it's not a big fight.

Seriously did u miss the fight up until the eye poke? :142smilie

this shit again?....do you have this on a continuous loop?

christ you`re a myopic dumbarse...what does an "eye poke" have to do with gsp being smart enough to not take chances with shields on the ground?...

a reminder that might come in handy...socks first,then shoes...

i don't understand some of the guys thinking with this. Who cares what Dana said earlier. We got two great fights and that is all i care about. It reminds me of the guy who cries about a guy getting a title shot before another guy, when the whole world wants to see the title fight that was made. Seriously if Pacman and Mayweather get signed to fight are guys gonna complain about what was said a year earlier? I just want to see the fight no matter how the two get there. If this was boxing this whole thing would have been screwed up. At least we still have two great fights unless Diaz screws something up or an injury occurs.

i'm definitely not complaining about the fight. i just don't undertand why dana did what he did. he made it seem like what diaz did was HUGE, and considered cutting him.

i LOVE THIS FIGHT, i think it's a better matchup style wise then the GSP fight because it'll be entertaining. it's going to be a great fight with lots of scrambles and transitions and possible sub attempts when it goes to the ground.

seriously, although a solid division,it`s almost bereft of serious challengers.....nobody can handle gsp`s grappling with the possible exception of shields....

......shields was the only one with that potential, but, unfortunately, shields is a one trick pony....

say what you will about gsp,he`s smart.......he knew better than to get into a ground war with shields...he did what he had to do to ensure the "w"....

imo, diaz and condit are mirror images(lefty/righty)....but i don`t think either has the grappling or physical strength to challenge gsp...we saw what a fresh mcdonald did to condit...and gsp won`t gas...

i think dana knows that diaz has some gravitas in this shinkick...competitive or not, people(many people) really want to see diaz vs gsp.....and with dwindling options for gsp, dana needs gsp while he hoping that a new, legit challenger emerges...

that`s why dana caved....and i`m glad he did...

come on weasy, Condit/Diaz mirror images of each other? what are you smoking?

Condit isn't as technical as Diaz, not even close
Condit is a purple belt in jujitsu from WHOEVER, Diaz is a black belt BJJ from GRACIE

Condit isn't submitting anyone anytime soon, and Diaz is comfortable on his back, Condit is not.

I think it is ur constant over selling of Shields that bothers people. U are like a bad hyper on a stock site.

i have to disagree here Bucks. I think Condit is very comfortable on his back and has excellent Ju jitz. He also has very good sweeps. i really don't care about those belt colors. I have seen Condit submit lots of guys in the WEC. When u are knocking guys out submitting them isn't even on ur radar. No chance to submit Hardy or Kim. They both were out of there in minutes. Im not to sure we are gonna see anyone submit Rory. Heck Nate Diaz never even came close but a shitty choke or two.

you have a bit of a point there..i meant by "mirror images" that they`re both long, effective strikers with solid ju jitsu, poor takedown defense and not much wrestling acumen(more because of their wispy builds than their lack of ability...they get out-physical-ed on the ground).... ..and the righty/lefty aspect(like looking in a mirror)....

actually, condit is a way more technical striker than diaz,imo....and he has 13 submissions....why isn`t he submitting anyone?.....half his stoppages are submissions...hr has a better sub/win ratio than diaz....

if you know boxing, you`d know that diaz isn`t really very technical...his defense is terrible(hands low, chin up)...his feet are all wrong(way too square at times)...he`s as immobile as a cigar store indian....

he`s long, uses the jab effectively, has a great chin and is a lefty......and .he can take more punishment than pretty much everyone else......that`s basically it...

he takes serious punishment in most of his fights....that`s because he`s not very good technically....if he could actually "box" with that lefty stance and height,he wouldn`t have struggled mightily with guys like evangelina santos and mike aina....

i don`t know when it will happen, but he`s heading toward "chuck liddel/big nog-ville"....sooner or later...you can`t keep taking that kind of punishment...

Cesar Gracie says: Nicks respect for Penn makes this fight harder

[BJ Penn] is the better fighter of the two. Georges St. Pierre is the bigger fighter of the two. He can beat people by being bigger or whatever. But this is the better fighter of the two. He?s more technical. He?s got a better ground game. He?s got a better stand up game.?

?He wants to fight GSP. He wants to beat that guy up. But BJ Penn is a different story, I think he has more respect for BJ. He isn?t a juice head and he actually tries technique in a fight. Georges St. Pierre is the bigger fighter, but [Penn] is the better fighter.?

?I talked to Dana after he pulled the fight. I explained why it was a mistake to pull the fight. I understood. I was as mad at Nick as anybody. When I calmed down a little bit and looked at the situation, I said not only am I Nick?s trainer, manager?whatever, but I?m also a fan of the sport. And I?m thinking ?why is Dana punishing the fans of the sport?? Punish Nick. Fine him a nice fat hefty fine. Do whatever you?re gonna do and punish him. All he did was miss a press conference. Seriously? Did one fan in this world even care? It did not make sense to me. I told them this afterwards.?

Check out the full interview below and listen to Cesar call the new booking between Penn and Diaz the real main event of the evening as he describes that now no one cares about the Condit fight, plus more.

Who is Vitor going to fight? Please tell me a top guy that isn't locked in a fight?

I love this fight, and I don't think Le is going to get destroyed, but I do think Vitor wins. Le has the style to catch Vitor who falls asleep at times in fights.

I also think the UFC did this to save the 139 card and it gives it a good headliner for the general public.

The UFC needs to go get Hector Lombard. I remember a few years ago they had him signed, but something was wrong with his VISA and he never could make it over, and they end up cutting ties.

Lee is a stiff. He will get the same treatment Akiyama got. The clown who announcers for strikeforce (Mauro) hypes this stiff every chance he gets to suck people into watching this stiff. I wish Dana would can this hypers ass and send him to the WWE were he belongs.
