Who is Anderson? A Silva? If that is who u mean there is no shot. Maybe Rory Mac? I know he has a fight coming up but that usually doesn't mean anything in this sport. I hope it isn't Shields. Might make sense to give Shields a little more time to mend since dad died but then u need someone for his spot.

Yea, Silva, I thought when reading that people were crazy. But Dana did say it was gonna be something crazy. Like you said, no way Anderson. So I think that rules out guys like Mac, Shields, etc...It makes me think BIG NAME BIG FIGHT BIG PAY.

Yep, I think Melendez is the best LW in the world, and it's only a matter of time before he proves it. Can't believe you hate on a guy who's consistently an exciting fighter and hype up a guy who's boring as fuck.

I never said Melendez sucks........he is Top 10...but not close to one. Not fucking close.

Melendez is also a prick like almost everyone else in his camp.

I never said you said he sucks. You sure know how to put words in my mouth. I said you continuously hate on a guy who has entertaining and exciting fights. Yet, hype up 2 guys who have less finishes combined then Melendez. They're both good, but I think Melendez is by far the #1 LW in the world.

It's stupid. Makes no sense. I like the fight, it's actually probably going to be the most entertaining fight on the card, but it makes no sense for Dana to pull him off the main event, but to only turn around and put him as the co-main event with BJ Penn, and everyone knows that likely, the winner is #1 contender LOL.

Wow Dana, all you did was go in circles LOL

Actually, it does kind of make sense. Diaz is a liability, but he is still a draw. You still get to use his drawing power without having to worry about him making you look like a fool when he doesn't show up to promotional events. This gives Dana a little leverage if Diaz wins and "earns" a title shot. Diaz knows Dana won't hesitate to pull him from a main event, so he has to straighten up. I like the move a lot. Cutting him would have been an emotional not logical move.

The fight itself makes sense. But everything Dana has said durinf the whole process doesnt. It just proves to my point about how he shouldve just fined him. He's good enough to fight BJ PENN in what BJ said was 'Dana made me an offer I cant refuse' but not the main event in which Dana said was a 'huge financial blow'. Doesnt add up at all. GSP must've kept crying about how unfair it is LOL

UFC still has to pay Diaz his contracted price. Diaz is all about the $. Do you really think he learned a lesson? No way in hell. No lesson is learned.

Listen, I love the matchup. I think its an awesome fight. The fight itself makes sense. Im just not following Dana on this one. In hindsight, what did he really do so bad if theyre still giving him a matchup of this magnitude. Give us what we want. Condit is gonna get mauled. BJ vs Diaz is a much better fight. I think it could be FOTY potential.

seriously, although a solid division,it`s almost bereft of serious challengers.....nobody can handle gsp`s grappling with the possible exception of shields....

......shields was the only one with that potential, but, unfortunately, shields is a one trick pony....

say what you will about gsp,he`s smart.......he knew better than to get into a ground war with shields...he did what he had to do to ensure the "w"....

imo, diaz and condit are mirror images(lefty/righty)....but i don`t think either has the grappling or physical strength to challenge gsp...we saw what a fresh mcdonald did to condit...and gsp won`t gas...

i think dana knows that diaz has some gravitas in this shinkick...competitive or not, people(many people) really want to see diaz vs gsp.....and with dwindling options for gsp, dana needs gsp while he hoping that a new, legit challenger emerges...

that`s why dana caved....and i`m glad he did...

i don't understand some of the guys thinking with this. Who cares what Dana said earlier. We got two great fights and that is all i care about. It reminds me of the guy who cries about a guy getting a title shot before another guy, when the whole world wants to see the title fight that was made. Seriously if Pacman and Mayweather get signed to fight are guys gonna complain about what was said a year earlier? I just want to see the fight no matter how the two get there. If this was boxing this whole thing would have been screwed up. At least we still have two great fights unless Diaz screws something up or an injury occurs.
