Larry Ness'
20* Western Conf Game of the Month-NBA (6-1 or 85.7% ATS run this week!)
My 20* play is on the GS Warriors at 10:35 ET. Kobe averaged 35.4 and 31.6 PPG the last two seasons but this year his average is down to 27.3 (6.1 RPG and 5.0 APG). LA is getting many more people involved and so far so good. Last night's 102-97 win over the Parker and Duncan-less Spurs was LA's fourth straight win and it gives the team a 13-8 mark. The Warriors opened 0-6 but have since gone 12-4, although they are coming off a loss at Portland (Weds). Shooting guard Monta Ellis (16.0) missed that game with a thigh injury and he's listed as questionable tonight. However, the Warriors are one of the league's deepest teams and that's NOT a big concern. The return of Jackson (20.9-4.7-4.0) from a seven-game suspension has been the catalyst for this team. He joins Baron Davis (22.8-5.3-8.5), giving the Warriors two of the most versatile players in the league. Harrington (13.8-5.6) and Biedrins (10.9-5.2) are having excellent seasons inside, while Azubuike (13.2-5.2), Barnes (8.6-5.2) and Pietrus (7.3) give the Warriors that depth I was talking about. Fisher (11.7) is struggling with a knee problem for LA (?) and Odom (13.2-7.8) is NOT putting up the kind of numbers he did LY. While center Bynum (10.7-9.8) has looked very good at times, Jackson still questions his work ethic and his stamina! The Warriors lost in LA last Sunday (123-113), giving them their NINTH straight loss to the Lakers, since they beat them on April 18, 2005 (126-99)! ENOUGH is ENOUGH! Golden St catches LA off last night's win over the Spurs and is 6-1 SU at home during its 12-4 run! Western Conf Game of the Month 20* GS Warriors.
