Tom Stryker's 32-7 ATS Thursday Night Total of the Year - 6-1 ATS Online Run!
#OVER (47) Houston vs Denver at 8:15 PM EST
With a pair of defenses that currently that currently resemble Swiss cheese, don't be surprised when Houston and Denver light up the scoreboard at Reliant Stadium.

The Broncos stop unit certainly played well against the Chiefs last Sunday. However, with 13 games in the bag, the Orange Crush "D" has been smashed this season allowing an average of 25.8 points (ranked 29th) and 334 total yards per game (ranked 20th). The Texans haven't done much better. To date, Houston has surrendered an average of 23.5 points (ranked 21st) and 335.4 yards per game (ranked 21st).

Based on Denver's impressive blowout win over Kansas City, the Broncos find themselves in a tremendous over situation. Technically speaking, road teams have posted an over record of 56-35 ATS provided they scored 40 or more points at home against a division opponent in their last game. This angle has been red hot too. Since the 1996 season, the over in this specific set has recorded a tremendous 32-7-1 ATS mark!

In their last seven on foreign soil, the Broncos have gone over the total six times including five straight. With both defenses struggling to stop anyone, this over/under play will be money in the bank! Take Over! Thank you and best of luck, Tom Stryker.

Thursday Night NFL Hammer! *25-14, 64% NFL Run!

I'm playing the Broncos on Thursday night. Houston is billing this one as their biggest game since the NFL returned to the city. But the fact is, the secondary is incredibly banged-up. It's bad timing for injuries on the defensive side of the ball because the Broncos' offense is beginning to click. Denver piled up over 450 yards last week and QB Jay Cutler drilled the Kansas City DBs. While Denver has a couple of wideouts, including Marshall, listed as questionable, I expect them to be able to run the ball quite well with Selvin Young facing the league's 23rd ranked run defense. Meanwhile, the Denver defense will face a bunch of backups this week. Houston will start an all-reservce offensive backfield due to injuries to their starters at RB and QB. In fact, Sage Rosenfels gets the start under center and rookie Darius Walker looks like he'll get the nod at RB. The Texans already rank just 24th in the league in running the ball, and they've allowed 33 sacks on the season, the league's second highest mark. It won't help Houston's cause that Andre Johnson will be defended by Champ Bailey. That's an even matchup, head-to-head, but a position they could use an advantage in due to the injuries. Again, it's a case of bad timing for the Texans. The replacement-led offense will face a Denver defense that's fresh off a five-sack game against another injury-riddled offense in Kansas City. Houston will be sky-high for this one and both teams need a win to increase their playoff chances. But Houston has too many injuries in key areas to turn high emotion into a physical win. Look for Denver to handle the Texans and pull away in the second half. The Broncos are the play on Thursday. Thanks! GL! Scott.

Larry Ness'

Weekly Wipeout Winner-NFL (23-7 FB run, including 5-0 with Wipeout Winners!)

My Weekly Wipeout Winner is on the Hou Texans at 8:15 ET. Both the Broncos and Texans enter Week 15 at 6-7 and clinging to life in the AFC Wild Card race. Denver and Houston each sit two games back of Cleveland for the final playoff spot and also would have to climb over 7-6 Buffalo and Tennessee in order to realize their postseason dreams. Head coach Gary Kubiak came to Houston in 2006 after serving for 11 seasons as offensive coordinator under Mike Shanahan in Denver and this is the first meeting between the two men. Houston has all sorts of offensive injuries in its starting backfield but QB Sage Rosenfels is 2-0 SU and ATS as a starter, with the team averaging 26.0 PPG in his starts. WR Andre Johnson (NFL-high 103 catches LY) is back at full strength (NINE catches in each of his last two games), joining TE Daniels (57 catches) plus WRs Walter and Davis to give the Texans a dangerous attack. Everyone keeps saying that Denver QB Cutler is going to be a star but I'm NOT buying it. He too often can't finish off drives and on the road in '07, has just five TDPs in six games (156 attempts) with a QB rating of 75.3. WR Javon Walker has hardly played all year and is still questionable (knee) while Marshall (75 catches) should play but continues to be bothered by shoulder problems. The atmosphere should be electric at Reliant Stadium (biggest game in Texans history?) and the ties between the two teams should ratchet up the intensity as well. I'm riding that "mojo," as I don't have ANY faith in the overrated Broncos! Weekly Wipeout Winner on the Hou Texans.
