The issue is after 9-11 this was the route the administration/country took...Tensions were high and accountability was demanded by many...Usually we can swoop is and bitch slap people, that didn't happen here...

IMO the exit strategy sucked, and that started with Trump and finished with Biden....What's so hard for you to see here? Trillions of dollars have been spent, have the Afgans benefited, I would think yes...

Where are the Afgan women and children today----scared, angry and this country is to blame----A shit storm is coming and if you don't believe it you're a fool...

I'm 100% for helping the refugees by providing asylum in the US and other NATO countries. The shitstorm arrived 20 years ago. Getting out, and getting those that aren't safe out is part of the clean up that we earned the right to be responsible for.

I supported the plan 100% when Trump announced it and I support it now under Biden. The transition out is every bit as ugly as should have been expected. We spent $80B training the Afghan army and when the Taliban rolled in they handed their weapons over because the real allegiance was NEVER to the US.

I'm not hiding. I don't need anyone to fall in line, but I would expect people to explain their points of view. I explain mine and get made fun of. I ask others to explain theirs and I get mocked and bashed.

In the example above, you just throw out "20 years was not enough". That's an answer but it's not really an answer. I asked follow ups to see if that means 1 more or 50 more. This section could be a great place full of interesting political debate but instead it's people posting Fake News, memes, and complaining about whether or not the owner is giving special treatment to certain members.

As far as 20 years goes....In my opinion it would take the Afgan people couple of Generations to change/accept that they can actually have Freedom....They have had a taste of it now, and the rug was pulled out from under them....

The women and children of Afghanistan are suffering today, that shouldn't be happening and I fault both sides for allowing it happen same as people fleeing South of our Border...
