Yup, that's where we start.

And, I am currently looking at various opportunities because the site can't pay me like it used to.

As long as there are 3 or 4 sponsors up there in the top left corner, the site will remain and so will IE.

The amount of time I spend here will depend on my new career.

Sad, ain't it? These greedy politicians want ALLLLLLLLLLLLLL the fucking money.

ALL OF IT!

careful boss, this will head to the mini -dumpster or politics forum lol, but it is sooooooooooo true, they don't wanna miss a dime rolling down the sidewalk !

I am getting double taxed on the city level right now, no commute credit, and as I currently rent, I am on the move end of June, paying more in city/local tax than I do in state tax!

To the devil with the cheese just let me outta the trap!

PS as tight as I am I would pay also if the fee was within reason :0074

This site isn't going anywhere. I'm actually going to have to take my feet down off the desk and go to work

I had a nice break for 9 years, since I sold the hearing aid business.

I think I'm the only one losing anything around here.

On the course!
If this site went "pay", less than 100 people would be members. In case you haven't noticed......most of you are fucking bums.

Jack and IE have run contest, after contest at this wonderful site, and it's the same 15-30 people who post up cash to play in them. Of late, I have bowed out from them, but only because of the current state of offshore BS in the last couple seasons.

But, year after year, they have to BEG to get you guys to participate in these sponsored events. Jack should believe that enough of you would pay a yearly membership fee?

I think you could list a good amount of the guys who would be in, but it would be a short list, boys.

EDIT:

The names on this thread so far, are actually PRETTY SOLID, (for the most part) as far as names I have seen send in money for contests/private games.

I think anyone that has attended a golf outing would pay a subscription.

Having said that.....if things get that bad to where that's the only viable option, unfortunately, I think yyz has hit the nail on the head. A lot of guys talk the talk, but when it comes time to walk the walk, it seldom happens. I've been on both sides of this myself.

Also, if things get to that point, I'm sure it's only a matter of time to where things go the way of the dodo bird. However, I don't think that's going to happen. Maybe I'm an optimist, but I think the big guy will keep it going.

We are all lucky to have Jack

Is gambling sponsorship the only advertising worth looking into? I should think not. Lots of things start off down one path and end up down another. Options need to be open wide here.

Read the contest threads. It's no illusion.

Contests are a different animal, information.........well that is different. People are hot or cold....and paying 100 bucks to follow someone that is hot is priceless. information is money.

Yes....information is money. But, here......everyone wants a FREE lunch.

What would you be paying for here? Would you now have the right to post:

"FUCK YOU THUNDER! I paid to be a member here, and you haven't posted in 9 fucking days!!!!!"

What happens when the guys with 3,000 hits on their threads start telling Jack, "Pay me, or I'm outta here."?

Plenty of story lines to be seen........
