I just think there are too many people pist off in WI no matter what anyone thinks about teachers, Walker has effected more than just teachers, but he left police and fire fighter unions alone? Why cause they backed him. You will get more pist off voters to turn out than the content ones and you can do a study on that too.
Walker has pist far too many off and is in bed with the Kochs for fuck sake, the Kocks would love nothing more than to slit the middle classe's throat Mags. Do you agree? The Kochs don't give one shit about us and apparently Walker only cares about a select few
I love how everyone loves to try to link Walker to Koch.
Is that any different that Obama and Soros?
EVERY politician has his financial backers.
I don't agree that Walker "wants to cut middle class throat's". If he didn't balance the budget, taxes would have had to be increased greatly - on everyone, not just the "Rich". THAT would have slit "middle class throats".
You keep forgetting that only 10% of the population was affected by this legislation. Yes, it sucks to be part of that 10%. But they did benefit for a long time.
The other 90% of the folks (and the 10% with reduced take home pay) benefit by not having tax rates go up. And WI was one of the higher taxed states in the country. So there wasn't room to raise them realistically anyway.
Clearly there are people that like Walker and some that hate him. Your area, according to you, is in the hate camp. A lot of areas are in the love camp. We all get colored by the people around us - you think everyone hates him, since most of your friends do. I know a lot of people that think he is the 1st Governor we've had in 10+ years that is willing to install fiscal discipline.
There may be a recall election - and there may not be. But it is certainly not a sure thing that he is recalled. And even if he is, it won't change a thing - the budget bill won't and can't be reversed. There is too far to go to flip the assembly in WI. It will continue to be in Republican control.
And all the protests, vandalism, death threats, etc that have continued to come from the union side has just made the folks more determined to support the current agenda.
Most of our school districts are now in great shape financially due to the new budget bill. And no new taxes (if you want to see a different approach, just look how IL raised their taxes - and Rahm is still fighting with the unions in CHI).
The unions had a good thing - but they kept pumping the public goose and they ended up being too greedy and overplaying their hand. When that happens, there is always a correction. This was the correction.
