Few takes from this card:

1. Notice the UFC did everything they could to take any bad publicity off the screen.
NO REPLAY of the sucker punch from Daley and no shots of Kos getting crap thrown at him as he leaves the ring after his childish comments.

2. We all knew Kimbo was pathetic coming in, but some of us(myself included felt Mitrione was that bad). Guess what, Mitrione is that bad, Kimbo is just worse. The winner announcement should have said "Your winner by not being as crappy MATT MITRIONE."

3. Outside of GSP, don't trust canadians.

i disagree....somewhat....i think mitrione will be a serviceable hvywt in the ufc....he learns to aplly those subs correctly, his stand up and kicks were pretty good,imo..

he won`t beat top level guys.....but he can be a middle rung fighter....

i agree that kimbo will never be an mma fighter...no cardio...and truthfully, from what i saw tonight, his stand-up seems to have digressed....

but he`s still the wrong mofo to throw down on the street with...

cote was a huge disappointment for me tonight....one dimensional...not a great athlete...

where`s kick?....he needs to do some penance...his boys wet-crapped the bed tonight,,,,

I have seen girls drop down bigger bombs than what Mitrione was when the fight ended.
That was down right pathetic.
It was stopped because Kimbo was a log at that point. Not because Mitrione was damaging him.

I thought Mitrione was taken down way to easy and by a guy who weighed 40 lbs less than him.
Mitrione had ZERO chance of winning that fight if cardio was not an issue with Kimbo.
Kimbo is a 3-4 minute fighter then he is toast.

If that is how Mitrione plans on finishing fighters then he is in serious trouble against even middle of the road fighters. A Heath Herring type would destroy Mitrione.

i don`t think that`s fair...the guy`s had 2 pro fights....how many fights has herring had?

weren`t many saying the same thing about velaaquez` g&p vs kongo?......granted,mitrione`s no velasquez, but he has long arms, decent kicks, decent stand-up,he`s a lefty and he`s pretty much fearless...

give him a little time...

he clowned kimbo....you weren`t saying this earlier in the thread....

I can honestly say, I wasn't feeling too bright after the first few fights.

It was a good old Canadian boy named Joe that saved my arse.

To be honest it looked like Cote was starting to land big in the 2nd round and Belcher is known to gas after the first half of the fight . Cote has zero brains tho , I've thought he was going to get guillotined while picking up Belcher but it turned out to be even worse . Fkn slammed face first into the mat , he was clearly hurt from it as well , I bet he also thought the ref would give him time to recover from a spike :nono: Took him solid few seconds to get his face off the floor which was just enough for Belcher to get into position to choke him out . Belcher calling out Anderson Silva was funny tho , he would get knocked out Forrest Griffin style and I am not even a big AS fan .

Unlike Coker, the man Dana steps up right away and takes action. Dana is the man. Bash Dana all you want, but he takes action....swiftly

See ya Paul:sadwave:

Now if only that asshole Kos would get cut. I have no interest in seeing Kos get toyed with again. Unless the fight is in Canada.

Yes Canucks went 1 for 7, not good.

But........

JMac breaks his ankle.....fluke

Hague losing sucked

According to people at the fight, Grant got fucked over, at worse should have been a draw.....Grant won the fight.

Goulet, no chin

Joe D......great win.

Cote.....2 years off, have to cut him a bit of a break. And Belcher is a solid fighter.

Stout.....didn't capitalize when Stephens was hurt and loss by split decision. Not exactly a terrible loss

if you would have told me before the event that the lone Canadian win would be Joe D

I would have said go f yourself

odds of that probably a million to one

Koscheck deserves a title shot whether people like him or not. I look forward to seeing if he can do anything different.

Paulo Thiago and Jake Shields (who will be with UFC soon) deserve a title shot over Josh Koscheck

Paulo knocked Kos's head off.

Kos does not deserve a title shot.

Doesn't really matter though......GSP smokes all of em.

Kos should be fighting Hardy next.

heathen, meathead, and anti-athlete. cha-ching! :00hour Hope JMac isn't out too long. Hate to see anybody hurt like that, and he really is a nice guy.

Bummed about Machida losing though. He'll be back soon.

Now we'll get to see Anderson Silva go up to 205 and hold the middleweight and light heavyweight belts at the same time. He couldn't do that with his good buddy as the light heavy champ. Look for that tilt about New Years assuming he blows out Sonnen in his defense like I'm sure he will.
