I will say this again for all you guys that like Edgar.. I have heard from a few sources that Penn was hurt going into that match and demanded a rematch clause or he was gonna drop out of the fight. Not sure what the injury was or if it was a big deal in the fight. I thought Edgars speed was the big deal but hey a twisted knee going in would cause all kinds of problems in training with cardio and movement. I wonder if those odds reflect that injury. Im a fan of Edgars but i can't see him winning another decision and i don't see him finishing Penn.

Sponge, I was on Edgar in the first fight but will be on Penn this fight. BJ will win this fight and IMO the only question is how. If he wants to win without a worry and in the first then he'll take Edgar down. I had a feeling he wouldn't try it in the first and he didn't. Frankie HAS to win by decision. He can't KO or sub BJ and I would base the history of both on that. IMO BJ gets him down early and punishes him for a while and then subs him. It's a high line and I've stayed away from those recently but this is a great setup and I don't see myself not playing it.

Anyone have any info on Miranda. That line seems really low to me. This seems like a big bet oppty to me but it's so low it has me rethinking it.

parlay it with couture...you`ll get a slight break on the odds....

if couture loses this fight,it will be because he`s a total asshole...nothing else...

sacrilage?.....not really...i`ve seen this guy(against all common sense) decide to stand with liddell in pts. 2 and 3.....

no,it wasn`t liddell`s takedown defense...couture didn`t really even attempt takedowns vs liddell in the final 2 go-rounds....

couture`s a hard headed mofo sometimes....

if he stands with toney,he`ll get whacked...but that should NEVER EVER HAPPEN...DANA`S THROWING YOU A HUGE BONE HERE...

i repeat...DON`T BE A DOUCHEBAG,OLD MAN.... you f-ck this up and you belong in the stoopid h.o.f.....

GW, I just can't get the Tim Silva vs Mercer fight out of my head. LOL Randy owes it to all MMA fans to get Toney down, put him in a crucifix and pound away. I'm just worried he won't do it.

The funny part is that Toney is a lot like Hopkins where it is almost impossible to hit the fuker cause he has such great defense. Randy doesn't have the slightest chance in hell of hitting him. Like u say tho he is a hard headed fighter some of the time so im not even wasting my time with that fight and those high odds. I still don't think he will pull a Gurgel tho.

I am hearing nothing but excuses as usual from Penn camp.
Please...

The guy always gasses after 3 rounds. If Frankie can get 1 of the first 3 and avoid damage then he will take care of Penn and we will again hear the excuses.
Maybe he took Frankie a little lightly in the first matchup but Frankie is quick and good to begin with so I just don't think I could ever touch Penn at 3-1 here no matter what excuses he uses.

BJ Penn is and always will be a fucking douchebag.

He is classless, and just a spoiled little fuckhead.

Plain and Simple.

Sure, he may beat Edgar, but if he doesn't he'll be full of excuses.

He ain't in the Nick Diaz league, but the guy is a dick.

Well Penn does have excuses at times but they seem to have some merit. He wasn't the only one who said GSP was vassing up. He did get the rematch clause so maybe he was sick. Penn was crushing people up until that fight and cardio was no issue. Ask Kenny and dciego about his cardio. Number 1 and two and he destroyed both of them. Im a big Edgar fan and took him small in the first fight but i just don't see him winning another close fight here. Odds do look juicy tho. I guess i will never see Edgar at 145. that is the fight i want to see. Him and Aldo.

Penn's cardio is not anywhere near as bad as most when you talk about guys with cardio issues.
Just saying he shows a significent let down every fight once rounds 4 and 5 begin.
He has been known to find was to win some by simply being the better fighter. Not sure that is the case vs Frankie.
So to say he tapered off in the last fight because of injury or illness is hard to buy.

And like I said Penn can win for sure but I don't see people rushing to get in line to bet -300 on him.

was watching the ufc 118 preview shows last night...and toney`s breaking all kinds of new ground in mma....

not only is he the first pure boxer to jump into mma on a moment`s notice....he`s the first american fighter to have to have his commentary on the show closed captioned.....

I don't know what to think of this UFC. For the first time in a long time I find myself liking quite a few fights. I've been having success taking just 1 and maybe 2 bets per event but in this one I like too many.

I think Davis has a legit chance vs Diaz. I like Maynard, especially since it's a 3 rounder. I like BJ a LOT but will do like GW said and bring down the odds with Randy in a parlay. I also like Maia and unless something changes will probably make him a pretty good size play. I know he has a chance of getting KO'd because his striking isn't as good but in all reality if you take one stupid jump kick or whatever it was vs Nate that got him KOd then he really has done well vs strikers. If it goes to the ground it won't last long. I don't see his oppenent keeping it standing for the full 3.

How can Davis win?
I'm only asking cause I respect your opinion.
Not saying he can't, just wondering how it plays out for you.
