just to get some conversation started,what`s everybody think of lil nog/bader?...

initially i was thinking,"lil nog as a dog?...hmmmmm"....but then i looked back and was immediately reminded of his last fight vs jason brilz...

lil nog very nearly lost that fight...some might even think brilz did enough...brilz has a wrestling background,but not comparable to bader`s....

was lil nog looking past a fill-in?..another case of the pride guys looking bad vs the wrong style in the ufc?......i don`t know...i do know he looked pedestrian vs brilz.....he has to worry about bader`s wrestling...and his power...bader has to worry about lil nog`s stand-up,jits and experience...lil nog will be dangerous for the entire fight (if it goeas that far).........

bader`s been consistent....he manages to do enough to win...he`s used to winning in wrestling and it carried over to mma......sometimes he dominates...

very interesting fight...pretty big step up in class for bader....actually,a very big step up...

i got a 6 pack of beer on Nog with a guy at work. sure nog didn't look good, but it was an opponent he didn't have much on, nor much time at all to prepare for.

I really like Bader and his potential, but I think Nog kinda puts the breaks on his train for the time being.

I still think Mirko beats Mir. With BUCS on this one.

Bader vs. Lil Nog is a close fight, closer than the odds suggest. Bader can and probably will take him down but from there Nog has a wide range of sweeps and submissions. On the feet Nog is the better striker but Bader has power in his hands. this fight will probably come down to whole has more in the tank come the 3rd round. I am tempted on Nog with these odds.

3 years ago I would have taken Sherk but at 37 years of age and 38 fights I feel we are seeing the down turn of his career. He has not finished anyone since 2005 and seems to think he is stand up fighter these days which could be down to injuries to his knees. Dunham has 3 solid wins in a row, Aurelio, Escudero and Griffin. I like him in this fight.

interested to see the "new" Mark Hunt. I don't think much of McCorkle but he has to be the play in this fight. Undefeated and the better ground fighter and Hunt has not won a MMA fight since 2004. Actually has not won a any fight since 2004 - boxing, MMA or Kickboxing:eek:

Mirko shouldn't even be fighting any more let alone beating a guy like Mir. Mir is going to beat Mirko easily. This won't even be close. I have been wrong many times, but you gotta be on some serious crack to like Mirko in this fight. I mean for fucks sake if Barry didn't "toss Mirko's salad" then Mirko would have already quit.

Mirko is done.....done, done, done.

Kick, everyone has all this info about Mirko not training and doesn't care but the line is about where it was when it opened. You would think if he wasn't training that the line would shoot up. I'm not buying it.

How can you get injured in training if you're not training?
Croatian papers had a piece on 4 injuries CroCop got last month while training.
If I had an opportunity on an early odds on Mir, I would take it.
I think he wins but it's no bet for me.

The odds have been going up slowly.

Early odds were Mir as low as -160. They quickly went to -200. Odds went to -220 then -240, now -255.
A few sites have Mir currently at -295 so I expect they will continue to rise on the other sites.

On top of the fact that you don't even train the week or two leading up to the fight.

Kick makes alot of gurantees. About 4 or 5 per fight card.

As for me, I could NEVER put real cash on Cro Cop after watching that pathetic display vs Barry.

I almost changed the channel when they hugged.

It was Barry's idol and who he looked up to while becoming a fighter. Sometimes fighters don't hate each other ya know....there is respect left in the sport lol

Am I the only one who has noticed that this fight is Mir/Cro Cop. That's pretty damn close to Mirko Cro Cop, no? :142smilie My only hope is that Mir knocks out Cro Cop in this fight, because then it would be:

Mir KO Cro Cop.

Ok, maybe not. In all seriousness, I can't bet on either guy. I hear what everyone is saying about Cro Cop, and I don't disagree, but I can't put money on Mir, either. Mir could look good or he could look horrible. The only thing we know for certain is that he will probably still have that ridiculous haircut.

you can hug a guy before a fight and after a fight. What Barry did was an embarrassment. He was laughing, high-five-ing, hugging Mirko during the exchanges.

It was a disgrace to real fighters who give 110% every time they set foot in the ring (octagon).

Pat Barry makes me sick.

I 1000% agree.
I didn't come to see a guy blast someone to the ground then help his ass up and high five and hug him. PATHETIC.
Respect and hero I get, but that was not a display of sportsmanship. It was a display of what are you doing after the fight because I would love to suck you off.

Mir will not be star strucked by Cro Cop and will pick him apart.

I am not sure how Bucs expects Mirko to win by decision. He doesn't throw many kicks at all since the knee injury and he sets up his punches too much to steal rounds.
If this goes the distance somehow then I see no way Mirko wins.
I mean Mirko by decision is +1010 and on just taking the fight to go 3 rounds is +220 alone.
