First question at presser

Press: "Mirko, How is the eye?"

Mirko: "Eye is good" (with dark shades on)

For the record when I bet on something it is not a guarantee. I wish it was. If so I'd win more:142smilie

i think lytle is still getting better(or at the very least,he`s sharp from being active)...serra has basically been inactive...

serra`s fought 4 times since the lytle fight(2-2...one was a horseshoe vs gsp)...lytle 11 times(7-4)..credit to both guys for basically fighting tough guys for the most part...

i think they have the right fave here...but i`ll say this...i doubt that lytle subs serra...he `s excellent at subbing non-ju jits guys...and serra has subbed anyone since 2002!?...

lytle needs to get smart and use that height...serra`s stand-up is basically a wild right hand(wild looping punches in general) thrown from the cheap seats...

what shocked me?...lytle has 3 k.o.`s?.....that`s it?....

that`s pretty lame..without looking,i would have thought he had many more...he`s an ex boxer, for god`s sake...

no play for me..

and speaking of mirko...when was the last time mirko fought a legit top notch submission guy(which mir is)?.....

it was probably josh barnett back in 2006...and in those days in pride, you had to fight twice...and on that particular evening, mirko k.o.`d silva with a head kick in his first fight while barnett had to go to a split decision with a prime big nog in his first fight...

eye or no eye...crocop isn`t the same guy...and he has been fed favorable style match-ups( stand-up guys) in the ufc....

this match-up could be rough(i wouldn`t be surprised if lefty mir beats mirko on his feet)...if mir was smart,he`s lean for this one...if he`s over-muscled,it could work against him...

just my opinion..btw...it`s great seeing guys put opinions out there...really helps break the fights down...

looking at their respective records, what are lytle and serra`s best wins(if you don`t count the gsp fluke)?....

lytle/...maybe brian foster?...misaki?...paul taylor?...pat healy?....not a whole lot of wins vs top notch competition,....

serra/...lytle...jeff curran...yves edwards...an over-the-hill trigg?...

honestly, both guys are mid-level ufc fighters......

Argh, I haven't even sat down to look at who all if fighting yet. Hopefully I will have time today but I'm not liking my timeline on these fights. Normally I start watching past fights at least a week before the fights.

I still think Mirko will be a play for me. :142smilie

Overall 40-26 +42.08 units

Opinion 6-5 +3.6 units(always .5 unit bets)

Lytle -125 2units

Opinions
Nog +150
Doerkson +260
CC +235

I think Lytle wins with ease in this fight but there's always that chance it gets to the ground and at that point I get very nervous. I think it stays standing and Lytle wins by decision.

Nog-this is a big step up and test for Bader. I'm not sure what Bader wants to do to win this fight. I like Nog if it stays standing and if it goes to the ground I'll take my chances as a dog. I'm not sure we really know what Bader can do on the ground vs a high level BJJ guy.

Doerkson-This is a play against CB, just don't think he's smart enough to win.

Lytle has looked good as of late including two nice submissions.

The first fight with Serra was close and if I recall not that exciting but there was a lot at stake being a shot at GSP.

Fight is to close to call. Often wondered how good Lytle could be if he trained full time:shrug:

GW, you know I've always wondered that. IMO Noons is the only MMA guy that has good hands that also was in boxing.(this is off the top of my head)

kick, did you notice who the third octagon girl was at the weigh in? It's that Brittany chick from the WEC.
:00hour :00hour :00hour

Someone said Cerrone tapped that....if that's the case I would like to shake his hand....

Nevermind, different chick.

The hot WEC chick is Brittany Palmer.
This was Brittany Ward.

I think Cerrone banged the fine one.
