Bitter-sweet. Lost my bet, but I love the thought of a dominant champ in the LHW division.....especially a young one that should be able to fight 3x a year. I bet Rua based on the odds and not knowing how Jones would handle a stud like Rua. The future looks bright.

Bucs: You're unbelievable, and for the record, I think of you every time I take a shit.

Where does Rua go from here?

He finishes the remaining fights on his contract and then retires. This isn't meant to be an insult to Rua fans, it just looks like the most likely outcome. He can't keep having surgery.

He has now been the champ in both Pride and UFC, plus he should be financially ok.

He obviously wont be making another title run, they will most likely have him headlining a card without a title fight. Like ortiz/griffin, franklin/lidell ect..

I have a strong feeling Rampage will be his next opponent.

Bucs, you really are a stubborn motherfucker man.

Good grief. Your post fight analysis is just as delusional as your pre fight.

I want to ask you honestly - do you have two eyes ?

Do you listen to the UFC broadcasts on radio ?

No credit to Jones AT ALL ? All you saw was Shogun couldn't take advantage of openings? That's it ?

I've never seen a guy so wrong, yet so stubborn. Amazing. You're amazing.

I don't care to watch/listen to post-fight broadcasts on radio. Whats the point?

You act like I took credit away from Jones. I don't need to give anyone credit. He did his job in the cage. I'm sure Jones will sleep a lot better if I give him credit on a message board forum.

You're an idiot. Retires? Good god. Shogun isn't retiring anytime soon.

He obviously isn't making another title run? He's clearly still the 2nd best 205 in that division. He will win a couple fights and be right back in contention for a title shot. I'm sure if he gets right back in there after a few months, his cardio will be much better.

You clearly have something against Shogun because you're the one dilusional with your analysis towards him.

He will crush Rampage(again), would beat Machida(again), would KO Evans....

He didn't tap to strikes. The ref stopped it. You took what someone wrote in here, and ran with it like you saw it yourself.
The ref might have officially stopped it but Shogun WAS tapping.
Same as the ref stopped the GSP fight but as you so candidly pointed out, GSP was tapping like a bitch.

So, depending on who's fighting, we should just kid on the taps didn't happen????

Videos have been posted over and over of GSP tapping. I've yet to see any of that in here.

All I see is nuthugging and running with it just for pure argument sake.

GSP sucks dick, but I doubt you'd believe it unless you seen it.

I have absolutely nothing against Shogun, I think he is a great fighter.

Lets be fair here though...

not concerned at all. but you should be. afterall, you've backed yourself into a win or bust and go into obscurity debacle.

I know I went pretty far out on a limb with my analysis, and if I was wrong I would "fade into obscurity".

Since i was correct in every aspect of my analysis shouldn't that then mean I be hailed as your new MMA God?

Or in the very least not be referred to as delusional?

You didn't do anything spectacular. You didn't pick a underdog. You picked a guy who was favored and won.

You're just looking for attention and wanting to be a guy people look to for picks.

Go find me a profitable winner and I'll give you some credit.

You just picked the Clippers to beat the Cavs, congrats, you're a genius now.

i actually just like to discuss the fights, and through good natured debate I try and work out who I think will win.

I find this to be much more profitable than picking a winner based on my personal preference then merely attempting to justify it.

So, using your logic, anyone with half a brain could have picked Jones. Nothin' special.

Since you bet against the clear and easy pick, does this mean you have no brain at all?

i dont bet

i've watched mixed martial arts since the beginning of time. it was so long ago i dont even remember how old i was...maybe 9-10?

i watch it because of the art of the sport. while many on here just started watching the UFC and act like they've been watching MMA for 30 years

Ok I can respect that

But if you don't bet, why did you belittle the spot on analysis I gave because it wasn't "profitiable" in your opinion.

According to bucs not only did he not tap, but he had "openings" to finish:142lmao:

Note: If GSP taps he's a pussy, but if Shogun taps it didn't happen:142smilie

Kick GSP taped to a guy a foot smaller and was tapping like he was playing the bongo's :mj07: Rua tapped like twice and they were the type of taps where he looked undecided. Two tiny taps.

Ok...got it......

Then GSP is number 1 pussy and Shogun is #2 pussy.

Shogun gets number two ranking because he tapped a little bit lighter.

Valid point.

Bucs calls anybody that taps to strikes a giant pussy, so I have to stick with his logic.

Bucs has been watching MMA since 1921 so he knows what he's talking about.

I never said anything about openings to finish.

Jones gave up his back on the feet 2x and if Shogun could've taken advantage of that, who knows?

Who was the guy that mocked me when i said having Jones on top of you is a whole lot different than having Machida on u? Was that my pal Weepaul:nono: ? Did Shogun even get close to getting up once lol. Jones has strength like a bear. These Greco Roman guys just have that brute strength. Look at Hendo's last fight. He is fighting guys a lot bigger and tossing them around. Cept Shields when he was hurt.
