Agreed. We know Nog is willing to take some punches to get a takedown. However, gotta make sure that punch doesn't knock him out LOL

Does anyone know ANYTHING about Schaub and jujitsu background?

When he trained BJJ in Colorado, it was under Amal Easton and thats who I'm assuming gave him the purple belt.

Amal was only the seventh person to receive their black belt from legendary competitor and instructor, Renzo Gracie. Renzo and Carlos Gracie Jr. have endorsed Amal?s ability and authorized him to teach the art. Amal was the first American Black Belt National Champion in 2002, is a multiple Pan American and Worlds Masters champion, and one of the original American pioneers of the art.

Now he splits his time between Colorado and Greg Jackson's camp.

When it comes to takedowns, if you can stuff Carwin you can probably stuff Nog pretty easily. I don't think it's a secret that Schaubs gameplan will be sprawl and brawl.

Kind of bush league what ESPN did by cancelling his promo/interview. It's HUGE news in the fastest growing sport in the world. There's nothing important enough for a new media outlet, yet alone the biggest sports media outlet in the world, to cancel.

There was a thread last year on SHERDOG and the topic was "Fights under the radar/you've never heard of that'll be stars" and Edson Barboza was my pick. Love this dudes potential.

BTW, He's not submitting anyone anytime soon LOL

Liking Stanislav Nedkov

He is a one powerful man with great wrestling and submissions. Ok he is little short for LHW and is clearly not going to win a standing battle with Cane but he has the potential to wear down Cane - assuming he does not get first fight UFC jitters

Already have Okami but that is more of a speed and reflexes view of Silva's age possibly catching up with him

Going to wait till weigh in's for Rua against Griffin

Was waiting for the odds on Paulo Thiago to come out and they are even shittier than expected. Parlay stuffer material for sure, though.

Alot of the fights for the Brazilian guys are really good match ups for them it seems. This is a great matchup for Thiago thats for sure.

Bet down to +109 now. And I suspect it may sink even more. Barboza by submission is sick, like +750 or so. That may be a little more speculative though.

I've had Barboza straight up for a while in parlays for a while now, but I'm not exactly sold on the ITD play yet.

I don't get some of these lines...

Right now, you can take Barboza ITD at +109, but the fight to not go ther distance at -110. I know Ross Pearson is a little bitch and not really a finisher, but only 19 cents more and you get both fighters ITD

The Schaub props are even more strange. ATM, you can take Schaub ITD at -101, but to take Schaub by KO/TKO is -105??? WTF is that a mistake

Do they move they lines for some props without moving the line for others that are directly related to them? For instance, can anyone tell me what the line was for Pearson/Barbosa not to go distance back when Barbosa ITD was +134?

nedkov sort of seems like karlos vemola 2.0.....he got a little lucky taking out wiuff(who has relatively poor stand-up....and is basically a truck physically.....he`s fighting a slicker lefty here in his backyard..and nedkov has no ufc experience)...and a split decision vs an old.used up randleman doesn`t exactly inspire confidence...

looks to me like nedkov will have to close distance, clinch and try and rough cane up/take him down....and i have no idea what cane`s ground game is like... seems like all these brazilian strikers (belfort ,thiago silva etc) have black belts.....but what does that really mean?.... actually, nedkov has a black belt but his subs seem to be all bvasically rear naked chokes...more a wrestling based move..when i see" black belt",i`m always a little skeptical...

interesting that cane was scheduled to fight vemola before vemola sustained an injury and pulled out.....

i need to look at this one a little harder....off the top of my head i`m thinking that nedkov`s best shot is an early stoppage...but i need to take a longer look...

interesting fight...

edit...wanted to have some fun with some undercard fights so i parred alcantarra/thiago and erick silva at even money...i like all 3 but the odds look a bit long on all....

nedkov-cane/jabouin-loveland/assuncao-eduardo all seem as though the dogs are a bit dangerous...

i`ve been reading that pearson might be thinking about taking barboza to the mat...that might just screw the itd prop as well as all of the barboza players(including me)....

^They also mysteriously corrected that Schaub line as well.

Looks like these guys really do read these boards. Probably try to figure out which posters have accounts through reviewing wagering history, forum contests ect.

Then they take your address and google earth your home.

Maybe they even put a trojan on your comp that secretly activates your webcam and records you when youre pulling your pud.

You know what? I don't give a shit. I hope that Joey Odessa guy got a good show.
