Jens pulver is washed up and i thought that when he fought Penn. Had to be the slowest fighter i have seen in MMA just yet. Thank god i didn't get sucked into those generous odds. Now i know why the UFC doesn't have an 145 division. Faber isnt anything special either. Hey Jens the big left how about throwing it once or twice. He did in the fifth round tho when it was at its slowest.

I ended up breaking even on the fights tonight but had a good weeks profit on boxing with Siderenko being upset and Azzile being dummied in under 7 1/2.

Well ok night for kickserv I guess....I lost a grand total of 0.31 Rogans on the night.....I knew a guy who was at the fight and according to him I got big time screwed on my parlay with Beebe, but I never saw the fight so guess I can't complain, but according to some of the people there Beebe won the fight.....should have made over 4 Rogans but I'll settle with a miniscule loss of 0.31 Rogans.
And Sponge, lay off the crack, Pulver put on a good display, I don't know what fight you were watching:shrug: How you could not at least be a tiny bit impressed with Pulver is beyond me. I mean he is far from a washed up fighter. Props to Urijah, he deserved to win, and damn can Pulver take a punch:scared
GW, nice call on the Aldo, I was going to play that myself, but had too much on Pulver. And I think you have to reconsider your "Pulver is a washed up fighter" comment.

Kick he was so slow it was embarrassing. He looked slow against Penn also. You are right he isn't washed up for this division. Faber got out of the way of his punches anytime he wanted just like BJ. And nothing makes me more sic then watching a guy like this not throwing anything. He looked like Bernard Hopkins out there. right , right, right, right, left. End of round. And to me from the third round on it look like all he wanted to do was go five rounds. I know Faber is 145 but someone like Spencer fisher would kill him at a catch weight of 150. I can think of 15 guys int the ufc weight class of 155 that would destroy him. I hope Pulver doesn't even think of coming back to the ufc at 155 because he would get killed. Pulver should have been more aggressive, but u cant discredit Faber in any way after watching that fight.... He showed proficient thai boxing skill and looked very sharp throughout.. Faber would slide by a guy like Spencer Fisher no problem. :SIB
I thought the Pulver Faber fight was great. Faber is the only kind of guy that can beat Faber. You're not going to find anyone in the 145 class that can out wrestle Faber with the strength he has. I thought Pulver could have been a little more aggressive but that's easy to say. Faber looked very quick. I don't see anyone in that class beating him. It will take someone moving down from the 155 and whoever that is will have to be very good with their hands. I would say kicks but with his wrestling skills they more than likely would be put on their back too much.
All you guys that are saying that Pulver can take a bunch. Well that is true when you get hit with 50 of them because you are to slow to stop them. I know WEC is part of the UFC but from what i saw this weekend Dana doesn't have to worry about any of these organizations. Hopefully Afflection shows a better product. Boy if any of you saw Bas Rutten show on Friday the owner of Elite was talking like KImbo might be the next Fedor. I know when i saw Pulver fight Penn it looked like Penn was toying with him. He just looks so slow and last night he looked slower.

Ya the WEC is owned by Zuffa, Inc (owns UFC) and its going to start concentrating on the smaller weight divisions.. maybe exchange some fighters in the future, but not right away... think Faber will be first to make the transition to the UFC to rematch Tyson Griffin now that Faber has reached star status in the MMA world.. may take a while, though :shrug:
As for Pulver, his style has always been to try and absorb the punches rather than dodge.... he did look slow in comparison to Faber, but Faber is the best (& quickest) mma fighter in the world at 145.. hands down. Only real impressive things about Pulver last night was his heart& conditioning... to recover after getting rocked and go 25 minutes.. Faber hasnt been to a decision in like 17 fights or somethin..
I thought the fight was really entertaining, but no reason for me to believe Pulver would stand a chance in a rematch..
Hope they work Jose Aldo up to fight Faber....
