"All in The Family"...no show then or since has portrayed the social, political and racial climate of it times as great as this show..The most daring ok of a show in the history of TV.

MASH...the mastery of drama and comedy was purely awesome..Many of the stories in the early seasons are based on tales told by real MASH surgeons who were interviewed by the production team. Like the movie, the series was as much an allegory about the Vietnam War (still in progress when the show began) as it was about the Korean War.[SUP][4][/SUP][SUP]...reference here for those who have never seen the second greatest tv series ever.

[/SUP][SUP]MAD MEN..if you watched it ya know it..and if ya haven't you should start today..binge watching at its absolute finest..
from ...
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mad_Men

[/SUP]Mad Men is set primarily in the 1960s, initially at the fictional Sterling Cooper advertising agency on Madison Avenue in New York City, and later at the newly created firm, Sterling Cooper Draper Pryce (later Sterling Cooper & Partners), located nearby in the Time-Life Building, at 1271 Sixth Avenue. According to the show's pilot, the phrase "Mad men" was a slang term coined in the 1950s by advertisers working on Madison Avenue to refer to themselves, a claim that has since been disputed.[SUP][2][/SUP] The focal point of the series is Don Draper (Jon Hamm), initially the talented creative director at Sterling Cooper and later a founding partner at Sterling Cooper Draper Pryce, and the people in his personal and professional lives. The plot focuses on the business of the agencies as well as the personal lives of the characters, regularly depicting the changing moods and social mores of the United States across the 1960s, starting with Season 1 in March 1960 and moving through November 1970 by the conclusion of Season 7.
Throughout its run, Mad Men received widespread critical acclaim for its writing, acting, and historical authenticity; it has won many awards, including 16 Emmys and four Golden Globes. The show was also the first basic cable series to receive the Emmy Award for Outstanding Drama Series, winning in each of its first four seasons.[SUP][3][/SUP] It is widely regarded as one of the greatest television dramas of all time.[SUP][4][/SUP][SUP][5][/SUP][SUP][6][/SUP][SUP][7][/SUP][SUP][8][/SUP][SUP][9][/SUP]

#1 Deadwood - I've always been a fan of westerns and this is my all time favorite, plus it happens to be a true account of Deadwood.

#2 Fargo - I know this it's only the second season but it's really that good. I've always been a big fan of the Coen brothers and their style.

#2 The Knick - This is a must see. 1900's medicine practiced at the Knickerbockers hospital in NYC.

1) M*A*S*H*-----Come on people, this a classic....:0074

2) Seinfeld------ My kind of humor.....:SIB

3) The Walton's------Erin is still hot as every.......:0008

I understand MASH was a big deal, but I couldn't ever get into it. The jokes were not funny to me. Also, I think they had a laugh track......man, I fucking hate laugh tracks. They still use them today. Big bang Theory - you couldn't pay me to watch that shit. Laugh track every 20 sec.

Big Bang sucks ass. I do think that MASH has a lot of merit and I recognize it as a great TV show, it's just not for me......

I never got into MASH either.

I'm starting The Wire for the 3rd time today, I'm on S01E02. I'll give it a whole season this time at least.

Upstairs watching sports on the big TV.
1 Andy Griffith Show...1960-1968.....Little town humor at its best, when Barney left show or big screen, it fizzled.

2 Leave it to Beaver...1957-1963..... This was a do not miss while growing up Eddie Haskell was my boyhood hero.

3 Toss-up between Star Trek 1967-68 , Twilight Zone Show....1960-1965, Outer limits 1960-1963 Star Trek encouraged wonder of the possibilities, Twilight Zone opened the mind, Outer Limits was scary as hell.

Todays Modern era...not sure what will stand the test of time.
Gotham is well written, Fargo, Breaking Bad, I Claudius.

I read a quote online somewhere that said "In True Detective Season 3, they are going to figure out what the fuck happened in season 2".
