Between Green Bay and Iowa City
(1) The Andy Griffith Show

Andy Griffith, Barney Fife, Opie Cunningham, Floyd Lawson, Aunt Bee . . . Timelessly captures a time gone by . . . With enduring popularity, my band of college cohorts joke about the 4:20 refer reference being perfectly tied to the time we spent before dinner with Andy Griffith reruns.

(2) The Tonight Show

"For 30 years, it didn't make any difference what kind of day you had, a great day or a bad day, at the end of the day, you wanted to be tucked in at night by Johnny Carson." ~ David Letterman

(3) All in the Family

Nothing less than revolutionary. Setting the political in the midst of the domestic. Archie Bunker was sure to spout his repulsive views, but you couldn't help but empathize with the working class guy who seemed harassed and exhausted by every element of his life.

Anybody found any good shows worth binge watching over the winter?

Bosch - Amazon show I just finished Season 3. Pretty decent cop drama. Season 1 was okay, but Season 2 was very good.

Hannibal - I watched this and really liked the first season but then it started to go down hill.

Goliath - Amazon show with Billy Bob Thornton. It was good but it wrapped up a little too easily/conveniently at the end.

Banshee - Watched the first season and then gave up on it early in season 2. I don't like the shows where people always pull off these miracle scams/plots/plans that go off without a hitch time after time. That's why I didn't care for Sons of Anarchy.

Boardwalk Empire - Finally finished the whole thing (5 seasons). Not good enough to highly recommend but not bad enough to stop watching.

Ray Donovan - Showtime. Awesome show. We watch this as it comes out but worth binging if you can find it.

Billions - Showtime. Very good. Another one I watch when it airs. First two seasons are worth a look if you are looking for a good one.

I have been traveling quite a bit for work the last couple years so I have knocked out a lot of shows I never had time for before. Now I've cleaned out the queue and am looking for new ones. No interest in superheroes or Sci-Fi bullshit.

Liked Boardwalk Empire very much, but absolutely loved Ray Donovan!!

Also thought NYPD Blue was a really great show....Very gritty & realistic!!
