Worst series I watched in entirety is Lost. What a waste of my time

I agree....writers admitted after the show that they just made characters up because they had no idea what the fuck they were doing. Annoyed the fuck out of me that I kept watching, why did I keep watching? Why, Why Why? But I did. Horrible last two seasons but I kept watching:facepalm:

I am the dumbest person on Madjacks so maybe that is the reason.

Seinfeld and Sopranos, most over-rated shows ever, just sayin'

Oh and the fact none of you Madjackers mentioned OZ or Family Guy boggles my mind:nono:

Shut the fuck up about this shit. I give you a hard time all the time and I don't mean any of it. If I ever met you in person, I'd buy you a beer and punch you in the ribs. Fuck off with this shit and calm down.

That sounds painful, and I prefer Gatorade.

1. The Wire. Nothing has or will ever come close. There wasn't even a main character in the series. The main character was Baltimore. I suppose you could argue McNulty, but it didn't matter. Although only 50 episodes you lived and breathed with each character. Nothing has ever been more well acted or a better story arc ever created. It truly is the showcase piece for what television can be.

2. Breaking Bad. Not much to say, it was that good.

3. The Shield. Vic Mackey might be my favorite character on TV. The whole way the show was shot and the raw vibe is haunting. Lems death is still my most shocking moment in tv. An amazing cast with top notch actors like Glen Close and Forest Whitaker joining the cast for various seasons.

Honarble mention Seinfeld, GOT, and Friday Night Lights (yeah, I know, but I don't know if there's ever been a better fit for a character than Kyle Chandler.)

Watching Boardwalk Empire now. I really like it, but it doesn't come close imo to the ones I mentioned above.

What are the top three TV shows of all time and why.........

1st Hill Street blues
mom and daddy of all police series, yes it feels out dated and it is,
but it was made +30 years ago...

2nd South Park
it's like Simpsons in drugs and drunk.
radical way to handle all subjects, just fuck with it without any sense of respect.
1st christmas episode of SP was first episode that my kid brother saw and
i still remember him lying on the floor laughing "i can't breath.." after MrHankeys bathroom episode

3rd LEXX
show so much ahead of it's time it never came popular

GoT is getting there but can't just yet climb to top three.
brings movie scale production to tv, so many killer episodes
and scenes no other show will be even close in years

nothing away from new series like Breaking Bad or Sopranos but dressing old drama
with new clothes and adding some gore can carry show for a while. but to create completely
new world, that's where the difference comes to show.

Agree........Probably the best show ever made.

IS the best show ever made.

My three:

The Wire
Sopranos
MASH

Rest of top ten:

Deadwood
Breaking bad
House of cards
Dexter
All in the family
Original law and order with Sam Waterston

Last but not least and it certainly doesn't belong in anyone's top ten but it's in mine:

Welcome back, Kotter

My bad...

Totally forgetting about Hill Street Blues and The Shield.

What was the captains line at the end of the meeting in Hill Street Blues?
"Hey! Let's be careful out there"

The Wire was excellent, but I'm surprised more haven't mentioned Homeland. It's awesome.

a friend told me to try this...he said each season has a different main gist and we could pick it up and get into it....

so we watched the first two episodes of this new season and were ready to go with it...loved the dude/assassin who was offing the jihadi recruiters and sundry other bad guys....

then we hit the episode in which clare danes found out there was a hit on her and had to "go off her bi-polar meds" to get into her crime solving groove...most of the episode was her acting manic and it seemed like a shameless plot twist to basically get one episode into the can without breaking a sweat...... it just seemed silly and repetitious, and lacked any real effort to advance the story and we gave up on it....

it had promise but that episode sunk it for me
