In Biloxi today. For someone who worked from home for a year and a half I must admit that I miss my wife... :mj07: and it's only been three days! :scared

Going to hit the tables after I finish my daily travel report. Still have a hundie on my comp card from one of my bachelor parties so going to enjoy a nice dinner on the house as well...

Anyone in Biloxi by chance? :0corn

Bryan..

what kind of work you doing now..

Same thing but due to a slow growth outlook for 1st and 2nd quarter, I'm on the road each week doing Quality Control and client relations.

Coming to a town near you...

Today I'm in New Orleans French Quarter. Will be working in the area tomorrow. But for tonight it's Drago's and Bourbon Street!

If you're in NOLA get my email from Jack! I'll have my phone on me.:SIB

That may have been the most amazing dinner ever.

Drago's is a must in New Orleans.

HEading to Omaha, NE but will be in and out of Iowa while there.

I think I'm going to start using this space for restaurants as well. Maybe even search for America's best BBQ. Putting together a survey now to take with me on the road.

If anyone is in the area, let me know and I'd love to meet up and have a cold one! :toast:

Have a great week!

Just arrived in Council Oaks, Iowa a few miles outside of Omaha, NE.. Took all day to get here.

Observation: Have you ever noticed the planes get smaller the more remote the location? I swear I felt like I had my legs wrapped around the lady in front of me and she looked to be hugging the hostess in the jump seat. But I made it...

I tell you what, it's depressing... the snow is a month old and looks like frozen sewage. I always thought it was white and then just melted the next day! (From Alabama)

I pulled into the Hilton Garden Inn and DAMNED if it wasn't connected to the legendary Horshoe Casino! :00hour

Home to the best steak in the area!
Jack BINIONS Steakhouse!

I'm heading there now for dinner and a beer!

As a former western Missouri guy I'll stand by Arthur Bryant's as top-notch and that you will come away impressed. If you are in the area for more than one day, check out Grinders not too far from Bryant's and has some really good grub.

C'mon Man!

C'mon Man!

Jumped out fo bed at 4:17AM Central time to the loudest Fire Alarm I have ever heard. Threw on a shirt and some pants, and headed down the stairs to go stand outside.

After a couple of minutes of no one running out I went around the building to the main lobby.

"So, there's a fire?" I asked the night deskman.

"No, just someone smoking in their room" he replied, "Happens about every night."

"Well, at least they are discreet... :sadwave: "

Update:

I've been living in the Hilton attached to the Horseshoe Casino in Council Bluff for the last four days.

Interestingly enough, I've discovered that the weekday traveler has an extended family of peers that understand the frustrations of being on the road. And we have met up each evening to have a cold one and discuss the daily ongoings of the roadie life. I have found that for some, there is no home or family to go back to on the weekends... why do it then? It isn't lke this is world travel as tourists... I digress.

Today's discussion centered on the snow blizzard that will be unleashed on the area in the next hour.

I've never driven in a blizzard and four inches of snow to this guy is way more than the inch or two that usually shuts down the southeast for days.

Not a skilled driver on ice, I'm out of my element and hope to make it through the day without loss of life, limb, or dings to the rental car.

Waiting on a package from UPS before I can get out there and finish my territory. Looks like it will be here just in time for the escapades on ice.

I'm already looking forward to Houston on Monday... maybe Hedgie will be ablle to grab a drink while there?

Onward... kurby

Houston Texas --- This City is BIG!

Houston Texas --- This City is BIG!

Was in Pasedena, TX today and tried to ask a retailor about a pair of sunglasses. The retailor nor anyone in the store spoke English. The english speaking employee was on break and the lady kept saying uno minuto or something.

I completely understand I was the minority but have never had that happened to me even in Miami.

Pretty wild.

Going to drive down to Galveston on Wednesday. Looking forward to seeing the town.

Was in Miami yesterday and today. Came up to our pal Kosar's neck of the woods in Ft. Myers where the streets were lined with tanned bikinis. College Spring break 2010. Getting to enjoy good company and a great scene has revived my sense of adventure. We had a few drinks while sitting on a roof top bar called the Beached Whale.

Wish I didn't have to be up and on the road at 5AM but that's the life of a road traveler.

Good luck to you bud and see you in a few in Indiana or CR whichever we get to first! :mj06:

In Pembroke Pines, Florida. 3/25 11:40PM

At the Grand Palm Golf and Spa and I get an idea.... it's 11:40 and my tee time is in ten minutes...

With a 8 iron, a pitching wedge and a putter, I'm going for the course record in a suit minus the jacket.

Six balls in my pocket... glory on my mind, I leave my room in search of the perfect round....

As long as I dodge security I'll be fine...
