After sitting in the airport for most of the day yesterday (flight to leave at 10:10AM from Atlanta) I finally pulled out of La Guardia around 10PM in my rental.

#1 Rule of travel. Always have a few bucks in your pocket. Having spent the day in the air port terminal, I had spent my wad on a plethora of items.

#27 Don't assume that your rental has an EZ pass for the state you are visiting. Confirm. Confirm. Confirm.

When #1 is not followed in conjunction with rule #27 it brings you to rule #5. Be courteous to the police officer that is talking to you as if youre Lenny from Of Mice and Men...

Today was an adventure in itself. This rule is one that every one follows on most days.

Rule #45 Use the wireless key lock when locking the car to ensure KEYS are in your possession.

When rule number 45 isn't followed, the result is Tip #3, make certain you have road side assistance and On Star on your rental (Thank you Onstar)




To finish the day, I tried to check into the wrong hotel.

The wrong hotel completely... Not even the same name...

I'm kind of interested to know how well Syracuse is going to go tomorrow... :shrug:

To top it off, I got my hair cut yesterday and it's really really short.

Like Dumb and Dumber... maybe that has something to do with it... :sadwave:


Tip#11 Don't get your hair cut at the airport.. :142smilie

being on the road for over 20 years now, sometimes you have one of those weeks where you wished that you never left the house cause nothing goes right....hope the week turns for the better bud

Uggghh..

lost luggage.

"Sir, can you describe your suitcase."

"sure, it has wheels and zippers. And my name is tagged on it in about four different places."

"Sir, can you describe two personal items inside the suitcase for verification?"

"well, Deborah... Can I call you Deborah? If the four name tags that say My name and your airline status don't set off an alrm that its my bag, then the 8 ft boa constrictor inside will definitely confirm it..."




How did I know that there is a market for smuggling snakes and this is more common than I thought... :mj07:


They called to tell me my luggage was in Minneapolis...

Mine got lost when we went to the D Rep. Got it the next day and I was so glad I tipped the guy a 20 when he wheeled it in.

I think the prick stole my leather belt and electric shaver the last two things packed.

What good is an electric shaver without the charger??? :mj07:

Yeah, the DR is third world. The bar tender hugged my wife and I after we gave him the silver insulated 24 ounce cups we used while on the beach.

He said he could get two weeks pay for them.

Crazy.

Just flew into Atlanta for another go around tomorrow.

Fly back to JAX in the morning after the procedure to work.


I checked into the JAX airport to have my luggage delivered. :facepalm:
