As I sit here in Ponte Vedra, FL I must say I feel very unconnected to life, friends, and family.

My wife has been outstanding and I miss her very much. We won't see one another until next Friday after Easter. I can't get back in time and she has wanted to be with family which I completely understand.

To pass my time, I visited Sawgrass. One one my buddies lived here in my late 20s within the Sawgrass development Player Club Condos.

Lots of good memories. Looking forward to seeing Gary next week.

Hope you guys are well!

Then get back in time.

Whatever you're doing for work that you can't get back to your wife for Easter . . whatever that is. . . if it was that important, what are the chances that you'd be in charge of it?

Go home, Woody . . .

Woodson,

I have traveled for business extensively for the last 10 years (flew 210 segments last year on one carrier (a few on others)) and you have to find a rhythm and something else to do other than sit in a hotel room and drink (not saying you do that). I don't have visibility into your business but I always make it home on the weekends. As you can tell I am a flying mofo and have the ability to do a lot of day trips. I live in TX but have done day trips to LA, SF, Seattle, NYC you name it. I train in Gracie BJJ so I just find a school in the city I am in take my gi an get after it. I basically have a network of places that I train at in every major city. Also a webcam comes in handy with the kids, granted phone calls are great but providing the ability for the younguns' to show you school projects, homework etc. comes in handy.

You are experiencing what all road warriors already know but those who don't travel do not realize, those on the outside think it's glamorous but it pretty much sucks. The upside is when you rack up some miles/points are the free vacations, the family will dig flying first class and going to exotic places. The travel jibes with my personality case in point, I got a killer offer with no travel and in discussing with my wife her first comment was "Do you think you can go into an office?". Which was a great point because if I am not traveling I office at home (have had a home office for 13 years) which allows flexibility to do family catch up, have lunch at school with the kids etc. My travel comes in fits and is very dynamic, I can get a phone call in the morning and be on a plane to London that afternoon which shoots the personal plans all to shit. Hang in there everyone will get used to it eventually, my son says "Dad, I hate that you have to go but I know you have to make money".

Ryson,

Great post bud. I just had a rough go. Only happens around dinner when I'm eating out alone. I'll get used to it.

Thanks for the comments.

Gary, will email you this weekend about next week.

Home and going to enjoy some down time. :mj06:

I have never gotten used to sitting at a table by myself and having dinner either. I typically get everything to go and head back to the room.

This week I'm in the Ohio area having been through Canton and Akron, I find myself looking out the window of the Hilton in downtown Cleveland, staring at a Cleveland Indians sign saying six days until opening day... Can't wait to start hitting all the ball parks in America.

I'm going to have a great summer!

West Des Moines Iowa. West! West!?

Why the hell is there a west? It isn't like Des Moines is a metropolis. Don't even get me started on Ames, Iowa. Heading west to Omaha tomorrow to close out this trip. Every issue from a month ago has been resolved so atleast I can go into Tampa next week with value add.

Hitting the Horshoe tomorrow night after stopping in Bass pro shop to buy chest waders. The boys and I are trout fishing this weekend in North Georgia. Can't wait.

Only thing cool about this trip is the brand new 2010 Blacked out Tahoe that Enterprise gave me. It had a 110 when I started. It's going to be at a thousand when I return.

And just for you guys that have never been here...

There is heavy wind... and it blows... :rimshot:

Where are you going fishing? I have neoprene waders and float tube and Ang has to do her sons prom. Can I tag along? Otherwise I was heading to Blue Ridge/McCaysville to the Toccoa
