Where are you going fishing? I have neoprene waders and float tube and Ang has to do her sons prom. Can I tag along? Otherwise I was heading to Blue Ridge/McCaysville to the Toccoa

:0corn :0corn

A couple miles past Helen, GA. We're camping Saturday night and cooking what we catch. We leave early Saturday. Not certain of the logistics just yet as I'm still on the road. I'll let you know more as I learn the details (We have a planner in our group, I'm more of the tell me when and where, and exclude the details guy of the group...

Let me know, maybe at Smithgall Woods? Not trying to include myself, but maybe I am ;)

Good fishing there, small streams and no need for float tube. I have extra waders as well as womens waders and boots (Angela loves it) in case you and your wife go on another "couples retreat"

Friday is a full travel day from Omaha. I'll reach out once I talked to the boys about where we are fishing. I just got a email that said be ready at 6:30 so we're making a full day out of it.

The location is about 2 miles above Helen, Georgia at a state park. If we're fishing the same stream, the hike is only 2/10th a mile on the first peninsula.

Sorry I didn't respond yesterday but trying to close out the week's reports while on the road and enjoy my weekends instead of working everyday.

Talk to you tonight!

Helen, GA

While it was tough to get away having traveled all week, it did a lot of good to see some good friends and even meet a a couple new ones.

We headed out just north of Helen Georgia and hit a campsite that extends out of a bend in the trout stream behind the tree in the picture. The roar of the fire as well as the sounds of the stream and waterfall to our right made it a prime camping spot.

The trout were rather finicky but we caught a few. My favorite part of the trip was when I walked about 4/10 a mile passed the usual fishing spots and was out alone in God's Country. Angling myself in some small rapids that fed into some larger ones, I worked my line through the rapids down into the waiting swirl where it was immediately hit by a rainbow trout the length of my hand and a couple inches of my forearm.

After we all return it was cold beer and grilling followed by the bonfire shown here.

I'm the guy with my head lamp shining. I laughed when I saw this picture because we were there for 1 day and had 5 forty quart coolers full of beer and meat.

Good times with good friends.

Tampa, FL

Spent a week working in Tampa at the home office. It actually was good to knock out my open items list and talk to the other peers. It has been some time. Left today feeling hopeful that the company is heading up and all my stock options may pay off in a year. A good work week.

That being said, I leave for the great State of New York and Pennsylvania next two weeks straight.

Pros: I hit the Diamond level at Hilton which is HUGE! We're looking at an expense paid trip to Italy and Egypt the way things are going barring the birth of a child:) .

Cons: It's for 12 days: Will be in the following towns in the next two weeks...

Manhattan, Scranton, Sayre, Rochester, Syyracuse, Buffalo :scared , Erie, Youngstown, Pittsburgh, Harrisburgh, Allentown.
:)

I remember driving up north one time and going down this big mountain like area and there below was Scranton, Pa. lit up like a diner on Saturday night in Bowling Green.
