Oh well.. a loss of 6.8 units would have been catastrophic, I still think that was the right play. What are the odds of funk playing that well? :shrug: What are the odds of Langer having zero birdies all week :com:

The matchups with rose, wetterich, and ogilvy are looking pretty good. Its just a shame i missed my big plays this week

Looking at westwood +100 over couples. I think freddy is happy to make the cut.. I dont see him playing well on the weekend. The one reason i might not bet it is becuz i already have 2 pending plays vs fred

Tiger is hitting is all over the course with his driver, but I would still not go against him, alot of wannabes ahead of him that he is not scared of other than VJ, it could be down to those 2 by the back 9 on Sunday. We'll see. GL toto

Tie rules would aply (at least with most books). 4 players are filling the last two spots in your example, so you would be paid half the face value of your ticket.

Your bookie might be different but I doubt very much if you would be paid in full. If there is a 30 way tie for 12th they are hardly likely to pay all 30 in full.

Thanks phar.lap, this is what I was looking for. Hopefully it wont come down to a split/tiebreaker but I'll report the decision if it does come down to a grading.

I may live 836 miles from Augusta, Georgia, but I think I can attest to the shocking WNW wind coming to their parts. I doubt it decides to veer off, and any let up this afternoon when the shadows grow long will be far from a zephyr. (FWIW, as one forecaster noted, at this time of year in Georgia, you wait for the wind to die off and then the temperature crashes - but not with this front) . . . Songs going round in your head, for me I'd say, "she'll be coming 'round the mountain when she comes."

All my capping follows my (sometimes lazy and sometimes relentless) pursuit of and reflection upon INFORMATION and ANGLES. I am ready to bet the board on Saturday scores, but I'm seriously afraid it's going to get so bad on holes like 17 that they could easily end up suspending play. So I'll be more selective with my full unit plays (and bet the board for $10 each), but that's the only thing holding me back. Maybe I'll lose a couple units. Maybe my INFORMATION and ANGLES are clueless and/or luckless. Or not.

If you take my next and final statement as an opinion on Tiger's prospects, then you completely miss the point (and I would nominate the comment as poster child for one of those exasperating aspects of being misunderstood on the internet by about 180 degrees, but that's another discussion) . . . Anyway, I have nothing better than this to sum up my opinion on the next installment of this championship: Tiger isn't going to need a freakin' 71 to be clear favorite or next in line come Saturday night.

I disagree with Thomas Boswell on course being boring--set up like this.

I prefer conditions like this where short knockers are also contending--gives lots more players a realistic chance of winning.

Toto is ogilvy a wannabe? I think over the past year he has played better than anyone else not named tiger ( in big events ) :shrug:

Anyway lost i almost did the same thing ( taking all the overs). It just didnt seem right to wish bogeys on everyone..
