Once again Bayern screws me. Not much to say on this one, the better team won. Yesterday you saw a sense of urgency with Juventus and today nothing close to the same with Bayern. That says it all.

I am routing for Juve to win and hoping for a Juve/Barca final. Hoping Ajax draws and beats an English team.

Europa

Again not risking much here. Would have played more if I had a better day today, but just doing this for fun

Krasnador +.5/Slavia +.5/Kiev +.5/Salzburg Pk

I hate betting friendlies, but I am betting the Ov 2.5 in the Germany/Serbia game tomorrow. Germany is playing a very, very young team that will want to prove they belong on the team and Serbia is bringing some regulars so I expect them to score.

Working on some Euro qualifiers

Well the Serbs were not so honest about their team as almost all the regulars are missing this game. I still think we see over 2.5 but could be 3-0 Germany.

That game yesterday was unreal. Should have had at least 5 goals in that game. Both sides missed very easy chances. That is why betting friendlies is a bad idea.

I have not had the time to properly cap the qualifiers. I am just spending way too much time on the NCAA. Wasn't planning on it, but I got in the weeds with stats and it is just monopolizing my time.

As such, I am only playing a parlay with home teams I think win:

Austria Pk/Belgium ML/N. Ireland ML - +210

If you want an interesting read take a look at the Euro Qualification playoff process. Recent changes with the Nations League makes the 16 team playoff for 4 final spots kind of nuts. It is also played all over Europe this year.

No real time for soccer this weekend. Playing one today though

N. Ireland -120

Lean to the draw in the Germany/Netherlands game.

So McKennie is out of the rest of Schalke's season as they battle relegation and Pulisic is out for at least 3-4 weeks while Dortmund battles for the title. All because they played in completely meaningless friendlies for the USA. I know it is how it goes, but it is brutal. Pulisic should have followed Adams back to Germany after the Ecuador game.

Bayern -180 vs Dortmund Saturday! Didn't expect this to be so high.

It is a must win for Bayern when you look at the standings and the remaining schedules. I think the line is telling. As much as I would love to see Dortmund get a result here, they very rarely rise to the occasion in these types of situations.

I am on Bayern and Stuttgart today

Biggest game of the year in the Bundesliga and Fox Sports is only showing it on the spanish channel. Total nonsense to me. Why buy the rights if you are going to trump it with car and motorcycle racing. Pathetic!

Yeah, apparently everywhere but here. Not sure what the hell is going on, then miraculously, it came back for the second half. They do not call it lower slower delaware for no reason. Sorry for the rant, Bayern was an easy call today.

Champion's League

Put this one in now as I really like the line:

Man U Un 3 -130 - This will be a tight game. Man U can not afford to get in a fast paced game against a better attacking team. All four of their CL games at home have seen less than 3 goals. 4 of Barca's last 6 CL games have also seen less than 3. I was expecting to see a 2.5 on this one, so I jumped on the Un 3 this morning as I do not think it will last. Good size play at 3.

I am not forcing a play today. To be honest, I have not been on with the Premier League teams in the CL, so I am not making a play today and will simply focus on tomorrow. I lean to Spurs +.5 as I would not be surprised to see a draw, but we all know what happens when I bet the Spurs.

Adding:

Ajax Ov 2.5 and BTTS - Ajax can only play one way. They will attack at home all day long and should be able to break through. It has been like 5 years since they have failed to score at home. They dominated Real at home and lost 2-1, which was their only CL loss. I was on Ajax +.5 earlier but I think the Over is a better play backing it with BTTS. Remember, Juve lost 2-1 at Young Boys earlier in the competition and has not been great on the road.

Easy Under in Man U and split the Ajax game. I was worried about the 1-1 draw but that is why I liked BTTS.

Europa

Chelsea Ov 2.5 - Slavia can score and I expect them to score at home once again.

Villareal Un 2.5 - Was surprised to get this at 2.5, but I will take it. This is a 0-0 or 1-0 game. Like it almost as much as I like the under today.

I have Arsenal in a Pk in a parlay that is still open so not playing the game by itself.

Watford +.5 - I know Kid is on Arsenal but I just do not like this team on the road. They have one win in their last 9 away games and this includes losses to Everton, Southhampton and West Ham. Couple that with a trip to Napoli this week and a Watford side that has a chance to move up in the table, I like Watford at home +.5.

Atalanta Ov 3 - They are the surprise team in Italy and still fighting for CL while Empoli is facing relegation. Atalanta is the highest scoring team in the league and Empoli has a really bad defense. I do not love the line but will be surprised if we do not see at least 3 goals in this game.

Champions League

Barcelona Ov 3 - Barca does not lose CL games at home and I do not see a repeat of Man U's performance in France. Barca is solely focused on the CL while Man U has to also be focused on the League. I think Barca gets to 3 themselves.

Juve/Ajax BTTS- I am going back to the well here with BTTS. Ajax is just an attacking machine and they will not be intimidated by Juve. I have not seen a TT yet, but if I can get Ajax Ov .5 I will take it. I also like the Ov 2.5 as I think we see a 2-1 type game.

Liverpool BTTS - I definitely think Porto gets on at home, which is why the TT is not .5. Also like the over.

City -1.5 - Get better value here than with the advance line. I think they get it done in regulation.

One play today

Frankfurt - I like this game and I think Frankfurt can still advance as they have 2 away goals. Frankfurt is a tough home team, and while the counter will be there if they can not get an early goal, I still think they win if it becomes a shootout and I like the price.

this was a great call. not only did Frankfurt win, but they advanced. Any thoughts in today's DFB Pokal match?
