Tiger Woods / Geoff Ogilvy +100 Parlay

Like the fact that Tiger only missed 1 fairway on the front 9, we know his putting will be lights out. Heard he was hitting the ball 350+ off the tee.
Jones will be 2 or 3 down by 5. Ogilvy and Sutherland both have played well of late. Geoff has kind of cooled off, however I like the fact he is a better putter (ranking 3rd on tour right now)

I think thats it. I have over analyzed every match 100x. Playing them in my head, based on past experience, jet lag, there a few guys that I would love to fade (VJ being one) but the matchups don't allow for it. Round 2 will be easier imo..

My strategy has been to select one player per bracket.

Sabbatini 50/1
Romero 60/1
Baddeley 50/1
Stricker 50/1 (one last chance)

Tiger Woods 5/1 saver

My odds suck compared to you guys.....
I guess I will be the contrarion with D Johnson, and I really like Poulter. Taking Woods for insurance and MCilroy for fun. All mt bets are for Win and Place. (Place is one half of the win odds)

D Johnson 1 unit 40-1
Poulter 1 unit 35-1
Mcilroy 1 unit 40-1
Woods 3 units 2 1/2 to one

Good luck to you all. Sabbs hurt me big time with those final 3 holes on Sunday.

Round 1 play (1pt):

Stewart Cink to beat Richard Sterne -123 @ Expekt
A new course so a cautious approach to the 1st round. One that stands out is to oppose Sterne with Cink. Sterne may have been in good form in South Africa where he won twice in December, but he has not played in a Tour event since the Africa Open five weeks ago and his record in PGA/WGC events is not too impressive: a best finish of 21st in nine starts, including a 1st round exit in his previous appearance in this event last year (4&3 to Hunter Mahan). Cink may not be in the best form, but he has lost in the first round just once in the last five years and reached the final last year.

Outrights:

The mantra "fresh and peaking" has been my #1 guide to capping this event for years, from Day 1 through to the final, and I've not had any reason to abandon the strategy.

Alvaro Quiros(80/1) e.w.
- - Lots of game and a Nicklaus course that should be well suited . . . confident and rested, and a fine stage for saying his how-do-you-dos.

Geoff Ogilvy(25/1) e.w.
- - I think the things that have been missing most from producing higher finishes since Kapalua have been less than ideal Sunday venues and a little less focus . . . I see upgrades in both areas this week, and I'm an Ogilvyaholic who's won with Ogilvy four times, once in the desert, once in the match play, once for the biggest prize in all of sports, and once this year.

Davis Love(66/1) e.w.
- - I have to give him my cash over Romero . . . A case could be made that the whole plan of his season has been to arrive this week "fresh and peaking", at an event/format he loves and has missed, and that he's done things nicely to implement such plan.

Zach Johnson(80/1) e.w.
- - The greens are looking to be as much of a story as the high desert bombing range, and Johnson is a big event player, regardless . . . I see his game as slotted and set.

Matchups:

Quiros(-125) over Ames

Romero(-125) over Leonard
