Round 1:
S. Stricker over D. Johnson - Laying 1.3 units to win 1 unit
Nice hit man, also liked the way you gave your reasoning for the play. GL the rest of the tourney :toast:
Round 1:
S. Stricker over D. Johnson - Laying 1.3 units to win 1 unit
I like the Hansen brothers, goofy glasses and all, to take out Els and Furyk. A little high sticking with a 7 iron ought to do it.
13 Soren Hansen over 4 Els
13 Anders Hansen over 4 Furyk
10 McDowell over 7 Z. Johnson
I don't think Olgilvy has ever lost in the first, second, or third round. He'll be a big fav. I would think.
I said one thing and I did another. Round 1 plays are---
R1 Goggin over Perry +150
R1 OHair over Scott +125
R1 O Wilson over Choi +150
I've been on Goggin twice already this year and he hasn't let me down. Perry has been great over the last two years, and he should win. I just can't convince myself that's true. This is an odds play, Matt is not this much of a dog.
Two years ago OHair was on my permanent fade list. Now he's back in my good graces with some pretty good play, mostly end of last year. Scott drops into journeyman class and doesn't deserve to be the favorite here.
I sorta like Choi all the time, I really like Wilson most of the time. Understand that? Badly written. Youth over age. Match-play expert over not a match-play expert. Plus odds over minus odds.
At first I liiked the Hansens, I still do, not enough to wager on though.
1st round :
S. O'Hair to beat A. Scott +130 (Unibet)
B. Weekley to beat J. Rose -102 (Unibet)
GL everybody
I already know who I want for round 2, and my books won't take any action yet. I checked the odds at betfair, not too many takers over there. The spreads are way out of whack. I'll get them posted tonight or tomorrow morning.
Love and Goggin. I don't want to give up too much on Love and I expect to get with Goggins. And 2 more I have opposite you, Derrick.
Love over Leonard---- Here's a guy who is enjoying a rebirth, a second chance in the PGA. He's grateful, he realizes how rare it is to lose it and get it back. I expect Davis to play his ass off tomorrow and everyday this week. Leonard, on the other hand, is bored with golf, he's good, but he's bored.
Goggin over Casey---I wish it was practically anyone other than Casey. Big battle here, I think Matt will be the dog, in what should be an even up match. Matt is hotter than hot, this year and last year.
Fisher over Perez---Strictly a match-play master versus a medal play guy. I think Pat is tired, really tired. And he felt bad for the guy he beat today, Harrington. This is match-play, this is war. Act like it.
OHair over Boo---One and done for Boo. He thinks the tournament's over now. Boo doesn't know what he's doing out here. He doesn't know match-play scoring or etiquette, who's turn it is, or why he's even there. Dang. I call him a clown, but he's really a good golfer, and I kind of like him. OHair is a professional, and he knows it. He realizes this is how he makes money, and how everything depends on everything.
I have not bet these plays. I could change my mind. I will however, not cross over to the other side. The order I listed them is the order I like them. More later.
Going to bed, and I cant be around much tomorrow.. but I think Boo walks the dog on O hair, you talk about Medal play vs Match play. Check Boo's match play record, he might play dumb, but the guy is a fierce competitor and a world class ball striker. He will be in every hole..
He crushed Wilson at the Ryder Cup Singles and made a deep run here last year. Read his transcript from after the round and you can see he wants to do well here.
Anyway, i love healthy debates good luck with whatever u decide:toast:
