Okay here we go...
T.Uchiyama (+165) - good size play The question here is whether or not Salgado's KO1 over Linares was a lucky punch. Before this, Salgado appeared to be a fringe prospect, even stuggling at times against mariginal opposition. Fighters can improve though, which may be the case with Salgado. He is lanky and somewhat awkward, and is maybe coming into his own. I'm sure the victory over Linares will have given him great confidence...still. Uchiyama is an elite Japanese prospect, I would say more of a proven commodity than Salgado, even though Salgado holds the title. Uchiyama has been matched tough since the beginning of his career, and yet has won almost every round of every fight. And he is the home fighter here. Salgado will not go quietly, but I think Uchiyama proves his worth and seizes the opportunity here with a clear win.
Poonsawat (-185) - med/small Not going too big here, and in part getting the odds to pick'em with parlay. Hosono is a tough nut, and on home soil...but Poon is the real deal, and will certainly come prepared. Tough fight, but I think Poon comes thru in close decision.
That's about it on week 1.... For parlay sake I think all the big favs come thru.
Let's get'em madmen!! :SIB
