I'm gonna take a shot on Miranda as well. Karmazin also got knocked down badly against Echols at the Playboy Mansion. He has lost a step.

Karmazin is rightly favored, as Miranda was starched quickly by Lorenzo. But, in my opinion, this is worth a shot at the odds.

I sure as fuk wouldn't bet Roman at that price.

The under 8.5, I think, could hit. One guy is going to get to the other guy first. I hope it is Miranda coming out on top.

:toast:

This may be my only boxing bet this weekend. Although I am strongly tempted to take a shot with
Uchiyama. If Miranda wins, I will do it.

No parlays for me this weekend, but I do think Charr and Steiglitz win easy. Beck stinks.

I wouldn't use Menzer for parlays though. She is fighting an undefeated chick and, also, Menzer struggled last fight. It was a Majority.

I think Mundine is safe, but I don't know much about Medley.

Anyone from Australia seen these two guys fighting in the Contender final?

I'm going to follow suit here and take a shot with Miranda at +285. Karmazin is shopworn, and his chin is suddenly extremely suspect. Miranda has a classic punchers chance in this fight. I think he is better than Bunema, who to me look shot years before ko'ing Karmazin. Miranda is also tall and has long reach. 12 round distance should give him ample time to connect, and Karm may well fade. The closer the fight gets, the more I like Miranda at the price.

I got quite a lot for a slow weekend:
Karmazin @ -337 2u Going against the board but Karmazin seems to me a class above this guy and pritty safe in this fight. Columbian KOed nobody of notice.
Karmazin-Miranda under 8,5 @ +140 Hopping for Russian KO not KOed by :)
Charr @ -588 4u Liked odds I got, but I don't like Beck coming at 250. Was hopping for 260, guess here is that he dosn't give a heck, not that Charr is good.
Menzer @ -599 4u Agree with Ghost, but I think Kuehne is inexperienced plus didn't fought strong girls.
Stieglitz @ -833 9u Bet I like the most. Opponent had a short notice, venue, Stig is riding high now.
Mundine @ -667 3u Fight again at middleweight. Mundine outclassing the guy.
Kratingdaenggym @ -190 1,5u
Salgado-Uchiyama @ +145 1u
Also planning to put something on a over in a chick fight.
Lets have a good start of '10 guys!

Feeling better and better about Miranda's chances here. Watching some past fights, he seems to be a pretty quick puncher. I think at some point he is going to catch Karmazin, and Karms chin will fail him. Let's see how it play's out.

Good to have some fights again!!!

I've got Miranda winning 4 of first 6. He is bigger, stronger, faster, and younger... Has a great shot to win! Karmazin looks old.

Holy Shit
Karmazin on the verge of defeat
but he digs deep and wins by KO in round 10
close but no cigar
great comeback by the Russian
wish he had dug that deep against Spinks a few years back

Shit...Karmazin down and almost out in 9th. Miranda down and out in 10th. He was clearly winning the fight. Oh well, nice call guys on Miranda as a live dog. Was worth the price of admission.

White boy night in Glendale, CA. Jeez, all Miranda had to do was keep the stiff jab going and he would have hit pay dirt again. Every time he hurt Roman all technique went out the window with wild ineffective flailing taking over. Oh well, Miranda worth a play. But the dude is raw as sushi. He needs boxing training and a strength and explosion coach to shorten up his wide swinging.

Scorecards before the KO were
85-85
85-85
87-84 Miranda

Miranda was in position to win, but he blew it
big dog gave it a run though

fight looked like an even money fight all the way

Small plays for me. I had the under plus I added Miranda late today with very good plus odds. As I said earlier in the thread, both these guys are vulnerable. How the fck this was an eliminator is beyond me. These guys will get smoked at the top level. As Kramden said all Miranda had to do was keep that stiff jab in Karms face for 2 more rds....simple basics would have gotten Karm out of there earlier in the night. Kind of frustrating to watch.

Well, no surprise here. In a fight like this where anything can happen, you just have to go with the long shot. Too bad, he didnt make it!

I think one guy who really enjoyed this fight is Sebstian Sylvester, he isnt the goods, but with Karmazin as his mandatory challenger he can keep his title for quite some time.... :box2:

"the bunker"
i took the chance...very odd...karmazin`s power looked unimpressive up until the 10th....and the miranda jab was pretty effective...karmazin,aside from some shoe-shining to the body, didn`t appear to lay much leather on miranda...

miranda just seemed to collapse....

i honestly couldn`t understand 85-85 after the knockdown...i thought miranda was ahead..i agreed with the odd judge...

oh well...thought we had one there...looks like karmazin is a shadow of his former self...keep that in mind...

I had a 85-85 score at the end. I gave Miranda 2nd, 3rd, 8th and 9th round.

Miranda had a reach and big punch. Nothing else but against faded Karmazin that was almost enough.
After the knockdown Karmazin looked like finished fighter and Miranda couldn't miss him with the jab. Props to Karmazin for digging deep and come back. That is hardest thing to do in boxing IMO. He showed that he has heart of the champion, he just doesn't have legs of one anymore.

"the bunker"
i thought his power looked non-existent until the 10th...

needless to say,i was shocked at the turn of events...

miranda`s rawness and lack of discipline cost him here...

congrats on the win.....
