i took the chance...very odd...karmazin`s power looked unimpressive up until the 10th....and the miranda jab was pretty effective...karmazin,aside from some shoe-shining to the body, didn`t appear to lay much leather on miranda...

miranda just seemed to collapse....

i honestly couldn`t understand 85-85 after the knockdown...i thought miranda was ahead..i agreed with the odd judge...

oh well...thought we had one there...looks like karmazin is a shadow of his former self...keep that in mind...

Right,he just seemed to collapse. When he went down the 2nd time he looked conscious but seemed to be enjoying that soft spot on canvas.

@romi yeah, it was frustrating to watch. When he stayed tight and really committed with the jab it looked easy and set up his hammer. But when he pawed with it or lunged in - it was no good. And when he hit paydirt he abondoned everything good.

Miranda strikes me as someone that is not the sharpest knife in the drawer.

I need Steig and Charr today. Didn't take rocket science to pick a -1200 and -600 favorite but I'll be pretty damn shocked to see either lose...actually more shocked to see the doggies win there...if that makes sense. we'll see how today plays out before any decision in Japan. Nothing straight up there but perhaps a play on the over/under.

-Some final thoughts on Miranda-Karmazin. I was 'surprised' - although by now judges scorecards should never surprise me - to see the cards that close. To me, Miranda was dictating the fight until... I agree with forum, all he had to do was stick and move for 3 rounds to win. Well, if we were gonna lose on Miranda better this way than some controversial scoring...

Congrats Old Dirty - I bet you were sweating that one out.

-I'm going to add Steiglitz-Acosta under 9.5 for a small play. For reasons highlighted on this forum, I think this is enough time for Stieg to get him out of there.

Good Luck!!!

I thought Miranda was CLEARLY winning. He was going to get hosed even had he survived the 10th. 85-85 x 2 ??? I thought the rd he had Karm hurt could have justifiably been a 10-8 rd. All Moot as Karm dug deep and got the stoppage but scoring is an issue that isn't about to go away....bettors beware. Props to Karm for getting himself another payday...and another inevitable beating. Good luck on the under today!

Maybe I'm going against the grain but I think Pac/Clottey is a pretty damn good matchup. I hope there is no bullshit about him having to make 144. Clot is no easy task for anybody. Clottey is as durable as they come. His achilles iof course is that he just does enough to lose. This is a very competitive fight IMO and of course Clottey will probably lose 115-114 x 3 :142smilie. Personally I think it's an unneccessary gamble on the part of Pac and Roach.

I think he out classes Clottey like he did to Cotto. Clottey may go the route but he won't do much better than Cotto. He's not a KO guy and is in a defensive posture too much. Pac steamrolls all at 140-147. He's that good.

Zack Page, with 27 losses, upset undefeated 2 time Olympian and Bronze medalist Sebastian Koeber via 6 rd Maj Dec. Page, who weighs barely over 200, is a very tough and game kid. It seems like many of his losses we narrow and debatable.

He's a real road warrior and true character. He turned pro in 2004 at age 31 and now has 49 fights. Fights nearly 10 times per year.

Ina Menzer wins

Unbeaten WBC/WBO/WIBF featherweight world champion Ina Menzer (26-0, 10 KOs) retained her belts with an impressive sixth round TKO over previously unbeaten WIBF super featherweight champ Ramona K?hne (15-1, 4 KOs). Menzer was in command the whole way and the bout was stopped between rounds six and seven due to a cut over K?hne?s left eye.

a rare stoppage in women's boxing.....they do happen once in a blue moon....

Owen Beck is fighting with a tent for shorts.....wearing trunks 4 sizes too big for him!
:142smilie :142smilie :142smilie :142smilie

How can he even move with those!

Beck surprisingly throwing a lot of punches through 2 but mosting hitting arms. The rds were somewhat close but I give them both to Charr...Charr nothing special but he SHOULD get by Beck. I think Beck will start to slow down...charr is already backing him up.

Beck may have taken rd 3...quite frankly, charr is not a good fighter. His size and jab can be winning this easily but he's letting Beck into this. Bet threw a lot of punches in rd 3...Charr mocks him at the end but charr isnt doing much...rd3 to beck 2-1 charr imo

rd4 - close rd but i give it to charr...his punches are more effective...beck slowing dwn a tad...without a wager, id turn this sad fight off...3-1 imo but I can't say I'm feeling reallly good about it...

rd5- big rd for charr...had beck in some trouble...charr better be careful of the rabbit punching...he's fighting a little dirty...I don't think J Cortez is in the arena so charr should be ok...beck may go in the next rd or so...he's pretty gassed....then again charr is nothing special...i'm repeating myself

rd6- another to charr...he's a dirty fighter though...he's constantly holding and hitting and getting away with it...it would cost him in another venue...5-1 IMO and I think Beck pretty much needs a ko....

rd7- sorry to be taking up so much space on a meaningless fight (but I put a bundle on this guy:mj07: ) beck nearly done at the end of the rd.
Beck will need the ghost of gatti to win this.

thought it was an 8 rder...i guess it's 10...shttttt....charr SHOULD easily win but ANYTHING can happen in 2 rds...rd 8 clearly to charr and 7-1 imo

rd9-beck in trouble...he's totally gassed...charr wants to stop him...he nearly got it in the final secs....rd 10 coming up

rd10- charr gets the stoppage from an accumulation in the final seconds...but I'm telling you, Charr will get charred @ the top level. Nice little win straight up and I now need steig for a parlay:00hour

RBR's are always welcome Romi. You know, I think Charr is a fighter with some potential. He works hard in there, throws alot of punches. He seemed to get better as fight went on.

Congrats on the win!!!
