Unfortunately, some of the experience Taylor has gained was being BRUTALLY KO'd by Pavlik and Froch. KO's like those have a permanent effect. Lets look at what JT has done. He does beat B-Hop 2x. Very nice. Then he fights Wright the fukin statue. Ho-hum. Then he really goes all out and fights 2 midgets; Ouma and Spinks. These guys are NOT real middleweights. He gets then goes on to get sent into never-never land by Pavlik. A gruesome KO. Does however look better versus Pavlik 2nd time only because Pavlik turned in a 1/2 assed performance. Then he beats that useless waste Lacy. Then Froch whacks him again.

im aware of the knockouts (they werent those comatose KO's like roy vs glenn) and by no means is he damaged goods. they will have no impact on this fight. hes only 28 years old, has not loss any speed, awareness, agility...jermain is an athlete and he will empose his skills.

AA is stepping up his competition BIGTIME this weekend. hes not fighting some slow white euro kid saturday night. This is a former undisputed world champion. Six of the seven fighters you named are former or current world champions and some of them he fought TWICE! Experience is everything. you get better by fighting better opposition and at this point jermain is heads and shoulders over AA.

I think jermain handles him saturday. no question. All i ask is you give me my props for the call when the fight is over. if jermain doesnt do you i know he is going to do i will be back for my crow.

by the way....
theres no way jermain won the first fight against bhop unless you get points for punching as close as you can to someones face but not hitting him. waych it with no the volume and no hbo cheerleaders.

Jermain can't stop King Arthur and a decision will be hard to come by. Taylor says he's doing everything right this time. Won't matter. Arthur has good defense, he's strong and he can really crack. He'll hurt Jermain with a meaningful shot. Jermain will fall once again. Curse of the honky lives. :142smilie :142smilie :mj07: :mj07: :00x12 :00x12
No one should take that last line seriously. Merely a silly chide in this politically correct world we all now inhabit - see what I mean, I have to write a disclaimer.

i think taylor`s a guy that was never taught to fully utilize his god-given tools.....he usually lets the other fighter dictate the style and pace of his fights....bhop and winky`s cautious styles mimic taylor`s best style...and that`s how those fights were fought...
...
he gave the froch fight away at the end...should have gotten on his bike...

boxing i.q. is a big deal.....and taylor`s ain`t that great...imo...

you make some good points and i agree on how the bhop and winky fights were fought. however i dont feel he lacks boxing IQ. if memory serves me correctly he was boxing kellys ears off before he got caught. second fight he did fold. but you know what? its like i first said styles makes fights. some fighters have others numbers (mosley/forrest, mayorga/forrest) froch fight, yea he should have gotten on his bike and he blew it in the last 14 seconds. just because he fought a couple bad rounds means he has little boxing iq? no way, i dont buy that. :nono:

Firstly, if you are getting +200 on Taylor, then you are getting Fucked over as a lot of books have him closer to +240 and Higher.

Secondly, I am betting Taylor as I think he has a shot due to AA workrate.

Thirdly, JT is not the same fighter he was before the Hopkins fight. He does have wear and pretty bad stamina. AA has bad-ass power in the later rounds and JT was hurt by A COMPLETELY SHOT Lacy.
The fight is in Germany were you sometimes need a KO to get a draw.
This is by no means a "take it to the bank" type fight.

Good luck to all, whatever way you decide to bet. :toast:

Well, this is what makes this joint the best! Lots of good points and eveyone is staying civil and not insulting each other. It ain't personal, it's business, as they say. Do you guys recall AA's face when Miranda broke his jaw? Butt ugly, and surely painful, but the man hung in there. Tough hombre. I see Taylor trying to win a boxing match and AA trying to put JT to sleep.

Taylor is like a curse for me.
I bet HUGE on Hopkins against JT both fights. Bad decision at least once.
I bet Winky against JT, and Winky was robbed.
I bet JT to KO Ouma and Ouma went the route (and was ruined as a fighter).
I bet JT to beat Froch and he goes down with 10 seconds to go !
I hate betting Taylor fights !
:mj07:

I did cash against him with Pavlik the first fight.

Kudos to Showtime - these really are intriguing, competitive bouts.

I am very curous about a few things:

Does Taylor have anything left?
How will Abraham look at 168? (my guess is even stronger)
Can Dirrell take a world class shot on the chin?
Are there any nude shots anywhere of Froch's girlfriend (smoking hot chick !)

I can't wait for Saturday !
Does anyone know the deal with the schedule? Are they fighting live at 5pm PT or tape delayed?

Abraham fight tape is delayed on Showtime, Froch fight live. (The Froch fight starts at 2 a.m. Sunday in the U.K. and the Abraham fight will be long over by then ... Abraham-Taylor is being shown on the ARD network in Germany at 11 p.m., which is 5 p.m. New York time).

Must come to the defence of my fellow Brit here. ... I believe that Froch can be categorised as an alpha male, and I am told that many attractive women go for this type. I'm told it is not about looks but about the aura of power.

Good points!

I dont belive Taylor when he says that he will change it all on Saturday and that he's a different fight now. I think he will always gas and getting stopped in hist last fight wont help him in this fight either.
Abrahams defence is extremely tight and IMO it will be a big problem not only for Taylor. Abraham recently said in an interview that he believes the smarter fighter will always win. Kind of funny coming from a guy with that many kos, but he really is a thinking fighter, as for Jermaine, he did well against everybody he has faced so far as long as his stamina was ok, but when he fades he's seriously vulnerable. IMO in the case of the Froch fight, it clearly was a bad ring IQ that led him to getting knocked out, he just didnt pace himself well in that fight.

@Ghost Kid
After watching Dirrell vs. Hanshaw I'm also wondering wether Dirrell can take Frochs bombs. He was also son the run against Curtis Stevens...
I guess thats what makes this fight so hard to predict. If we knew he had a strong chin, he would probably be a 3 to 1 favorite.

BTW, Erdei is scheduled to face Fragomeni for Fragomeni CW crown, now thats a surprise, isnt it!?

Just rewatched Froch-Taylor and it was interesting as before fight Showtime did an interview with Taylor and he sad that he is well aware with his stamina problems and he did everything different preparing for the fight this time :mj07:
I always liked Taylor for the first 6rds, always found myself admiring his work. But, as weasel sad, his boxing IQ always lets him down in the second half of the bout. His opponents make adjustments and only thing he changes is that he gets tired. I am hearing saying now that the problem with stamina was present because he was loosing weight to fast before fight??!! Dude just jumped division, he got 8 pounds less to lose!
AA is by no way a lock, but, as is ghost, I am tired on losing money for believing in JT.

I hear you Graham but I believe being popular and having money are the main assets someone has to have if he wants to date a model :)

Froch said he had an ankle problem before the Taylor fight (interview on fightnews) and that he almost pulled out.

I thought he looked better against Pascal anyway, maybe thats one of the reasons....

We all have guys that haven't been good to us at the betting window. Calzaghe was that guy for me. I had Lacy (can you imagine now) Kessler, Hopkins and Cal by KO over Jones.

But Taylor as a whole has been very good for me, including a draw play on Wright.

I might have to stay off the internet for a little bit Saturday. I think I want to see Showtime's whole broadcast and be surprised with the results.

As for Froch and his lady, I was totally joking. If people saw my lady, they would probaby be thinking "What the hell is she doing with that scrawny little bastard!"
:mj07:

I do have to say, I have heard from more than one source what a great guy Carl Froch is. Signing autographs. Taking time with fans. Interviews.
Seems like a great dude.

And yes, models do like rich and famous athletes. That helps.

Talent compared to the in ring performance, Taylor is a bigger version of Judah.....

It really is time people stop believing in both....
