I would have taken Hurtado +200 in a heart beat. I still took him +157. Not sure whats left in the tank...if anything. But this guy was a serious fighter at one time. He was giving Pea a lesson, believe it or not, for 10 1 /2 rds before Pea unloaded in his only late rds stoppage. Pea just about needed a ko at that point. Hurtado also had prime Tszyu on the floor twice. Obviously he's not the same fighter but neither is Morua and morua was never in Hurtados class. Perhaps the under has some value with 2 aging vets.

Hey Romi
they switched the line
I guess the first line was a mistake
here is the new line

Diosbelys Hurtado -230
Arturo Morua +170

The original line should be good. I don't think it was a bad line. I just think they didn't know how to cap that one. It's still showing action and I expect it to stay that way.

Interview with the Thai guy fighting Edgar Sosa. Promising a KO.

I know a few of you are on Sosa...I don't know what to think of this fight.
I do see that it's being fought at 108, and the Thai guy is moving up.
That should be good for Sosa.
But the Thai guy did go the route with Nietes (getting off the canvas and losing a close UD).

Tonight I'm on:

- Figureoa 3,75
- Davies 1,8

That's a great line you got on Hurtado Romi. Nobody knows what he have left but that's definitely value play.

Tomorrow I took:

- Bradley-Holt over 11,5 1,833 I must admit I am tempted to take 2,65 on Holt.
- Diaz 1,17
- Katsidis 1,313
- Povetkin-Estrada over 7,5 1,45
- Pianeta 1,476

Lot of shaky plays it seems to me now. We'll see.
I'm gona take Povetkin also, and maybe Escobedo-Hernandez under.

Good luck guys! :toast:

still looking for Andrade's weight
as well as the rest of the lightweights in Texas

A2C did say that he was at the weigh-in
and Jesus Chavez was .5 pound over
probably not a big deal

btw anyone know what happened to Pinnacle? despite having pedestrian limits, they still had the best lines, so I stayed there. Now they post lines at the last minute or not at all, it's very erratic.

It's now 3p.m. Pacific and just two lines up at Pinnacle, the Pacquiao-Hatton fight and Holt versus Bradley (plus "fight outcome" lines on Holt-Bradley). They only posted a couple of lines last week, too. I guess Pinnacle is making it clear that they want to keep their boxing action to the barest minimum. Too bad. Re. the Hurtado-Morua lines, I was surprised at Morua opening as a clear favorite and then the lines being flipped. I think this fight could go either way and a +200 grab on either side looked like a good play to me, whether it was a play on Morua or on Hurtado.

Now they added Hurtado and Bailey fights at Pinnacle. I'm sad to see they are efectively shutting down their boxing business. They are my favorite book.

?Lightweight Lightning? weights

Full weigh-in results from the University of Texas at Austin, Texas for tomorrow night?s ?Lightweight Lightning? card at the Frank Erwin Center:

Edwin Valero 134.5 vs. Antonio Pitalua 135
Jesus Chavez 136 vs. Michael Katsidas 135
Carlos Hernandez 135.75 vs. Vicente Escobedo 134.25
Julio Diaz 136.5 vs. Rolando Reyes 135.5

So according to fightnews, Julio Diaz and Jesus Chavez missed weight?
I'm assuming this is a misprint.

....

....

Pinnacle no longer cares about combat sports. What happened is they are now a copier like several other books and they don't even do that well.

I agree. I think Hurtado wins but I scalped it. I got +157 Hurt and +155 Moru...small play for a buck but guaranteed winner barring a draw or nc. Always nice to make money on the 1st wager of the week.

Congrats old dirty and Ghost :toast:
