Gonzalez wins TKO 4
Crowd very very quiet

Now that was worth waking up for. Jhonny has arrived, nice hookup with Nacho. In addition to the amazing Marquez brothers, didn't Beristain train Ricardo Finito Lopez?

That Jhonny bait sure tastes GOOOOOD!!

I don't understand the point of a post like this.

Oddessa came on board and was completely respectful - he explained his side very clearly. He offered 3 bouts here that no one else in the world put odds up on.

And then you take a piss AFTER the fact (I didn't see your pick posted beforehand).

Posts like this are exactly the childish, insulting stuff that make boxing lines disappear.

Looks like several players cashed on the dog - good for you guys.

Might be a smart idea to keep a level head and build some good karma.

In this game, the next steep ledge is right around the corner.

Let's try to respect all sides here. Everyone is trying to make money and pick winners.

Adamek-Mc Bride round prop

Adamek-Mc Bride round prop

Anyone got an opinion here. I got 2 ways to go; one book has it 7.5o+125/under-165. Another has it 95.over+280/under-340. I don't think too much of "Colossus" McBride, and I feel a well placed shot will sedate him. Boxrec says last time McBride fought was a 3 rounder versus future hall of fame boxer Franklin Egobi! What happens to Kevin after 3 rds. in with a real fighter?

you have to give adamek some serious credit...43-1...he fought some tough guys at lt heavy/cruiser....and he hasn`t fought all soft touches at heavy.....he fights frequently and comes to fight...

the guy`s a real man and a solid boxer/puncher......should be way too quick for mcbride....mollo and golota got mcbride out of there...

looking at parring the under 9.5...

From Showtime announcer Steve Farhood, who will announce Shobox:

"The favorites tonite: Willie Nelson, Marcus Johnson, and Danny O'Connor. I say there'll be at least one upset."

Well, I for one wish that Oddessa never released those Japan lines. 0 for 2 - not big plays - but ouch none the less.

Lotsa love for Jhonny out there so congrats guys - was obviously the right call. Hasegawa's chin is suddenly very suspect. Past his peak it seems.

Not much for me tonight, and really a quiet weekend in general. Lotsa lines but nothing I really like too too much. Gotta be disciplined on those weeks when you just ain't feelin it.

I will take a small shot tonight that Lemieux gets Rubio outta there before 7.5 @ -200.

Beautifully done piece on Nick Charles, former Showtime boxing announcer.

WATCH THIS - makes you appreciate every fucking moment on this planet:

http://edition.cnn.com/2011/US/04/06/nick.charles.facing.death/

my god,the mental strain the man must be under...the psychological stress of having your own mortality staring you in the face every morning...you can`t take a break from it...can`t step away for a minute...it`s 24-7...

guy used to be a sportscaster in the baltimore area many years ago...and he was a damned good one...

I do think Adamek gets him outta there, and is actually my only real play of the weekend. Those 7.5's can be traps sometimes. 9.5 sounds a lot safer of course, but odds reflect that. McBride is slow, even by heavyweight standards. Adamek's quickness will be very difficult for him. McBride has been dummied before. It all depends on how Adamek fights I think. If he's assertive, 7.5 should be plenty. If he sits back and boxes then...

My sense is that, with a Klitschko fight looming, Adamek will not want to dick around too much. I took the under 7.5 @ -150 for a medium/smallish play.
