Johnson rightly the favorite, but has been in relatively soft. His best opponent, Edwards, just got ko'd in 3 tonight. Johnson went 10 solid rounds with him. Davis got soundly outpointed by A.Pryor Jr., which looks better to me after Pryor's tough go against E.Rodriguez. Last time out for Davis, draw with Sierra was really a win.

I'd say Johnson, but odds are out of whack. Over looks right to, but again, odds are too wide.

So you do like Johnson to win?

Rubio fought that exact fight I was hoping.....took Lemieux's punches for 4 rounds, waiting for him to tire, and took advantage.

Davis/Johnson will NOT go distance +225 (small)

NICE call Buck and congrats on a big dog :toast: Please don't tell me you got dough on Morales.

Go big or go home.....

Rubio +950
Rubio Inside Distance +1500

I've always had a bit of a Rubio fetish and I think Lemiuex is in for a gun fight tonight
Well done Bro!!! :0008 :toast:

Adamek will dummy McBride within a few rounds. McBride is a walking statue who doesn't take the greatest of punches.

I give Gevor a shot. He is a tough nut and Steiglitz does not take punches well. He has been wobbled by snowflakes.

Good luck all. :toast: :toast:

Finally my luck run out. I got caught with bet on Marcus Johnson. Big loss. Now to be break even for week, I need Maidana and Guerrero win. If Guerrero loses no big deal. But if Maidana loses:scared If Maidana loses then I will have the worst week of the year.
This week is crazy. Seems like a lot of guys will end up with big wins or with even bigger loses. For me now if I end up break even I will be very happy.
Good luck!

Adamek-Mc Bride round prop

Adamek-Mc Bride round prop

Steve Kim is saying this "contest" is not even an exhibition, and worse, less than a mismatch. Basically Adamek wants to fight this big lug so as to prepare for the Klitschko fight he craves. As for McBride, I think it's either make $15,000 to get dropped, or sit in the local gin mill eating beer nuts and getting fatter. 5 rds.

I'm on Maidana BIG also. I don't believe he lets us down. Morales had his hands full with a journeyman last month and got buzzed a number of times. Maidana eats him up.

Stieglitz-Gevor

Stieglitz-Gevor

Yeah Weepaul, I give Gevor a shot too. Very unimpressed with Stiegitz against Ornelas last time out. I still see him as a bit fragile.

Gevor though was very unimpressive against Sartison. His pressing style seemed much less effective at 168. He also could be showing the effects of a series of hard fights.

Gevor has a lot going against him - promotion, judges - but I still think he's in with a chance here. Likely result W12 for Stieglitz, but 3 to 1 may be worth a small flyer.

Nice write-ups for tonites fights...

Nice write-ups for tonites fights...

Over at Max Boxing Marty Mulcahey has a nice synopsis for each of the 4 main bouts. For anyone still looking to make a decision and needing some more insight, it might be worth a peek. Sharpies can skip this; this is for dumb fuks like me.

Really , light hitting Francisco Lorenzo actually buzzed El Terrible? Unfortunately for Erik, El Chino doesn't have the compassionate side ala Paq, he's pretty much a cold assassin in the ring. Khan reached out to touch gloves to start their bout & MM let a left hook fly.

Already mentioned that I'm on Adamek-McBride UNDER 7.5.

After looking some things over, I'm gonna add one more significant play. Going with the UNDER 9.5 in the Hall-Donnelly fight from England. Hall has 3 stoppage wins in a row. Donnelly ko'd in only loss against a .500 fighter. Donnelly has been in VERY light. The kicker for me is that he's never been past six. Never even had a bout scheduled for more than six. I think Hall could get him out of there fairly early on.

Also can't resist Campbell at +1000 for a few bucks. Could be completely off, but I'll say the old warhorse puts in a prideful performance. Garcia has got some talent but he's still green. Campbell could have a few tricks for him.

Good luck guys!!

I think you are correct with the likely result but Gevor is worth a few shillings.
I will never get over how badly Stieglitz was staggered by Lukas Wilaschek and that guy truly could not break an egg.

Good luck. :toast:

I'm all in on Maidana. I honestly thought the odds would have opened -1500 or so. A lot of sentimental dough tends to go on the old greats. Ali was actually able to convince people that he could beat Holmes and the line was relatively close by fight time. I think dimes had Maidana -380 to open. I'm on for an avg of -550 or so...BIG + parlays and an itd prop. Odds are currently showing -1050. I think Morales would have had a VERY tough time in his prime v Maidana and now I just can't see him being competitve. I would be more than shocked to see what would surely be Upset Of The Yr if he somehow pulled it off. I like Maidana in about 5 rds. Other fights I would have liked to have wagered but held off. I liked the over on Stieg/Gevor but no bet. I also like The Ghost. Good luck Gents!

The main reason I like Steiglitz is that that Gevor is too small at 168 and he took it on late notice.

Hall just dropped Donnelly hard in round 4.

UK RESULT

UK RESULT

Hall wins TKO 5

I don't think I've ever seen a guy look as bad as Morales did at the weigh-in

Gamblers agree - money seems to have poured in on Maidana overnight
