I did not include this on the weekly schedule, but apparently there are lines listed for this French card today.

Affif Belghecham vs. Woulid Guarras
Hussein Bayram vs. Damien Bertu

On paper Bertu looks like a live dog +300 They fought a similar opponent recently and bertu won a ud and Hussein won an SD. Hussein got dropped by that opponent. Hussen has fought pretty tough comp...close dec loss to Baysongurov and a 11th rd stoppage loss to Dzin. Anybody have more to add to it. Im considering the over yet I hate the line -365 9 1/2 rds.

Fightnews reports a KD by Geale that wasn't counted. Ruled a slip even though Geale connected with an effective punch. This fight was one step away from being Geale's night.

WOW
I just watched the knockdown online
at the end of Round 9, clear as day, Geale drops Mundine with a good shot
it was a quick shot, and Mundine bounced up right away
but he was clearly buzzed and the announcers (who love Mundine) even admitted it was a knockdown
Poor Geale...the ref screwed him big time

I agree, Bertu did look live boxrec wise. I saw lines on sportsbook.com but no where else. Didn't get to bet them but I'm curious to see how they play out.

I wish I put a buck on it but too late. Check out Woulid the dog in the main event. It was just pointed out to me. Still have 40 mins to place a wager. The fav Affif has 2 kos in 17 wins. The 1st came in his 1st fight and the 2nd one was due to an injury. Boxrec or not, Affif couldn't punch his way out of a wet paper sack. Worth a tickle @+250. The line is also posted @ Bodog.

I wagered the over on the 1st fight. These fcking names are too hard to spell, much less pronounce.

I have a feeling, just from a boxrec glance, that the underdog Bertu is going to beat Bayram.

This is the finals of some sort of French tournament (Le Grand Tournoi 2009). So I would expect both guys to bring it.

Wish I had bet on Bertu, but like Kramden stated, I only saw odds at sportsbook (and I don't have an account there).

My over bet on the bertu fight did not go through. Bad habit on my part of not confirming the wager. It's cost me about 5 bucks in the last mnth alone.

Anywhos, I have a small play on Woulid +250 and the over in the same fight. If it goes over I win...if woulid pulls the upset then icing on the cake.

Affif wins in 11 in France . The Woulid Doggie loses but the over nets me a buck on the 2 wagers. No big win but I'll certainly take it. No word on Bertu yet.

Guess the lines were set correctly
 :mj07:

WOW! I lucked out. The over wager didn't go through on the 1st fight so I put it on the 2nd instead and it paid. That kind of luck comes around rarely :00hour

-Large on Sitz -600
-Huge wager on Berto

Rachman winning would shock me. I'm expecting to wake up to a nice article on fightnews.

As I said in the other thread, Berto can easily win if he sticks to speed and boxing. If he brawls, Urango has a punchers chance...perhaps a tad more than a punchers chance but i still like Berto to cruise.

Damn that pic of Mabuza/Perez scared me away from taking Mabuza. I think Mabuza is a damn good fighter that had the misfortune of running into prime Marquez. I was going to take him @ -220 but Perez looks 2 weight classes bigger. Columbians are notoriously tough and strong so I think I'll pass despite the confident talk of Mabuza.

I slightly lean towards the Big guy Valuev. Don't think I'm going to pull the trigger though. I was also going to bet the over but if Chagaev isnt the same fighter, there is a slight chance Valuev gets him out of there. Not worth the -350 10 1/2 rds.

GOOD LUCK MADJACKERS!

@matt
Angulo ITD, I think thats the most likely outcome, but after seeing Angulo getting rocked by Gutierrez, I'm inclined to see the fight not quite as one-sided as before.
Thats a fight though that IMO wont go the distance. Cintron knows that he can only win by ko, and he's a good puncher.
Angulo will bring the pressure though, I recently read in a boxingtalk article, that he used to run 1 mile for a round in preperation, but this time he did 3 extra rounds...so he's running 15 miles a day or so. Thats pretty impressive, and he really brings a lot of pressure, I'm sure Cintron will eventually succumb to that pressure (unless he lands that one punch).

Chag Valuev over
Agreed! A ko is highly unlikely. Valuev doesnt seem to punch as hard as he used to.

Berto vs. Urango over 11.5
I'm contemplating that wager as well.
Berto has speed but his defence s***s, he gets hit way to often and his chin doesnt seem to be the best. If he's smart he will try to fight Hattons fight (use a lot of clinching). I'm curious to see how Urango looks at the weigh-in next to Berto. If he isnt dwarfed physically, he might have a decent shot.

@Romi
I like Mabuza too, but he really looks much smaller than Yonnhy! hmm...

BTW, do you know if a draw is a push (wager returned) @5dimes reduced juice market!?

I like Oleydong to win tonight, but I didn't grab it early enough

Good luck to those who are on him
I saw him at -325....and then -500....and then -800 !
:scared

Like you, Romi, I would be shocked to see the Indonesian Rachman win in Thailand. Plus, Rachman has been faultering lately.

Go Oleydong !
