but when I move all 25-55 year old smart asses would have nobody to go to everytime the needed someone to watch the dogs for a week while they are on vacation.
furthermore if my old ass moves 99% of them would have to start going to the" rent a center" for tools .
and since 80% of them can't fix a drip in the shower faucet or do any kind of house repair they would have to hire someone instead of asking the old crab ass ..
then when their lawn mowers break down or their sad ass leaf blower quits they could knock on old crab ass door to borrow his or better yet have him clean the carb on their never maintained shit.
then when I return their 4 year old to their house because he thought he could ride his new battery operated "Truck" around the block ...the "New Wave" can apologize for having the nose stuck in the friggin phone texting about the pressure of the right makeup and parenthood..
Ya shit out of luck without us..
So, you're damned if you do, damned if you don't? Can't live with 'em, but can't live with out 'em?
Here's the thing. "Fixing shit" isn't something that came and went with your generation. Civilization isn't going to die off when you tip over. My dad was older than you, and wasn't worth a pinch of shit at fixin' stuff. His dad could do almost anything! But, there are always guys who can do stuff, and guys who can't. Always.
I went down to see my buddy at his bar today, and there were 5 bikers in there. Mostly young guys. I listened to these guys talk, and all of them were in the trades. An old guy walked in. Looked about 80. Said his battery died and he needed a jump. The youngest looking of the bikers hopped off his bar stool and said, "Let's get you up and going again". He helped the man on his way, and that was that. Pretty nice of him. I'll even bet this was the first mention of it on social media.
So, it's always great to have guys like you who can get the job done, but if everyone did their own 'work' nobody would need you.
