He doesn't rock, he's a religious fanatic that thinks condoms are too "scientific" and should be outlawed. That's why you like him, because you relate to him. He doesn't believe in climate change, because he's also ignorant, and wants to bring religion into politics.

It's not like you're a hard person to figure out hedge. There are no "deep thoughts" that get in the way when it comes to you, you're quite simple. So is he, that's why you like him.

Common misconception. I make most of my practice profit doing exams and cleanings. It's funny that people comment that dentists love when they get cavities because if you want to look at profit margins and per chair the cleanings and X-rays have the biggest margins. My ideal practice is one where no decay exists.

I think Obama turned out to be a pretty good president. Your Obamacare working out for me comment makes no sense and it actually was negative to my practice but I don't expect you to understand the nuances since you don't own a dental practice.

That pricing strategy goes against most for-profit businesses but I'm glad it's working for you.ACA made the children's dental care mandatory so I assumed it would help but I guess it must not have. I'm just going from my experience auditing doctor practices which are kind of like dentist practices, I think. Anyway - glad you're killing it

Great news for about 1000 workers.
The Rust Belt may go red for sometime if Trump can bring back jobs to the area.

If people can work on a living wage through government subsidies, they'll be socialists in no time.

Are subsidies how the deal was worked out or are you just saying that? I ask because I'm interested in seeing what happens with these companies. I like doing what we have to do to keep these companies here but it does seem like a slippery slope if there are tax incentives given. Why wouldn't every company threaten to leave at that point.

Saying that, I have a feeling that if we look at the bottom line after everything Indiana comes out better and the USA comes out better if these companies stay.

This is the meeting of when the layoffs were announced

http://www.madjacksports.com/forum/...ees-being-laid-off&highlight=Capitalism+grand

And here's their statement on why they were relocating .....

https://www.carrier.com/carrier/en/...te_indianapolis_manufacturing_operations.aspx

None of the reasons for relocating has changed, Indiana offered them more than $5m in incentives to stay and it still made sense for them to go through all of those relocation costs in order to compete.....and now it doesn't. The inputs that they used to make their decision hasn't changed yet they're staying. The Company got something and it was big or they'd be going. I think it's great. I'm just surprised that any free-market capitalist would think this is a good thing.

I'm not saying you're wrong Bobby but one of the things Trump said was he was going to change how these companies products were taxed when they came back in to the country. Is there a chance he showed them what his plans were and after seeing that it made better financial sense to keep the product production here? You're saying they based those decisions on the tax structure that was and is in place but not that will be in place. Again, I have no clue and just talking thru this.

I don't think tariffs are something free markets like either

They've haven't announced any tax breaks or subsidies yet but they haven't formally made the announcement yet. We'll see. The company is owned by a conglomerate that also has a military contractor, so we may never see what the deal was.

Our USA made products are taxed at a higher rate by foreign countries than theirs are here is that correct? Maybe not all countries but a lot of them. If you're going to make it outside of the USA then it should be taxed a rate that can recoup lost taxes from the companies that moved them oversees.

I'm not a union guy but from the outside it seems like unions kill our chances for long term jobs in these type of industries.

I did and I can't think of a worse selection. She has railed against public education her entire career.
Trump isn't draining a damn thing. He's a snake oil salesman and always will be. He'll line his pockets, refuse to give up holdings in companies that are directly affected by his policies or decisions. He owns hundreds of thousands of shares in the parent company of the Dakota pipeline as well one of the oil companies that will benefit from the pipeline. I think we'll see him allow the pipeline to go through the Sioux nation land and cease any talks with them to find a better plan. His entire presidency will be a conflict of interest.

If you do not approve of the pick then we all know Trump chose the right person.
Guess you wanted another Arne Duncan who wanted to open a gay high school in Chicago and who also made the policy for 5 years olds to be taught in kindergarten about homosexuality.
He did such a great job with the school system in Chicago .... he still sent his kids to exclusive private school.
You at least have something in common with Iran. They also do not like his picks.
Flynn and Mad Dog Mathis along with Pompeo are great choices!!!

Lowell,
I have no regard for you or your posts. You're a stupid person and a bigot to the highest degree, so let's not pretend like I give a flying fuck about your idiotic opinion. How about you just stick to dragging your nails down the chalkboard for fun.

Hope this helps,
FDC

FDC, I use to love your post man. I really did, you always had a great voice on things but the last few years you've really become the most opinionated close minded person on this site. Outside of a few ghost posters on here you call more people names than anyone else. I'm not sure what happened in your life but once your mind closes to other people's voices you stop growing. Not everyone has had the same life as you and because of that some people see things from the other side and it doesn't make either person wrong. Most people that voted for Trump aren't racist or homophobic or whatever else is popular to call them. I voted for him but I voted for him because I'm tired of what we've had in office and that includes Republicans and Democrats.

You guys think his choice for Sec of Education is bad. What did Duncan do for education? It's a broken system that doesn't serve the kids at this point. It serves people who want "good" test scores. Yes, DeVos has been against public schools but that doesn't make her bad. What if her way is better? What if because you're close minded on the issue you're not seeing what might be best for the kids. IMO the kids that are going to do well are going to do well no matter what. It's the group that isn't doing well and really nothing is being done about it other than making sure they get to the next grade. That system is working for them. There is proof that public charter schools close the achievement gap for students of color. Do I know for sure what will work, hell no but I'm willing to look at other options. Too high of a % of kids have been failed by our current system, why would I want to keep doing the same thing then?
