Hello layinwood, how you had a good weekend. Personally, I believe he should release his taxes because that is the standard set forth by previous presidents. His failure to do so lends itself to assumptions that he's trying to hide something and shows a disregard for long standing policy and a general disregard for the citizenship. I'm sure you recall the birther movement he spearheaded for years against Obama and once that was proven he made reference to President Obama's college transcripts being published and offered to pay millions to get them. Now here he is not releasing his taxes and hot don't find that to be the definition of hypocrisy and and show complete disregard for our political system and citizenship? I have a huge problem with that. Donald Trump is widely known as an egomaniac and a narcissist by even those close to him not to mention all his peers and those that have met him. When confronted with a practice that all those that went before him did, he basically thumbed his nose at it and simply said no. He even went so far as to lie about his reasons for not complying by saying the IRS wouldn't let him. I'm sorry but to me, that's indicative of how he plans on proceeding with similar situations in the future except now, he'll be the president. I honestly have a hard time understanding how some reconcile this internally. To me this is just the tip of the iceberg.

I don't know the entire scope of the donations made as far as who made what and when and the exact amount.
If they were donations received illegally or from enemies of the state, I'm sure I wouldn't like it. The Clinton's are wealthy, highly intelligent, hugely successful, well educated people. Due to their presence in political circles I'm guessing they've developed relationships with other wealthy people and political figures in other countries. While she was SoS she divested herself with the everyday machinations of the foundation, to what degree we can all speculate, but as far as I know, Bill was running it. Whether or not I agree with the practice, the Clinton's aren't the only politicians or people of power that have taken money from foreign entities. I don't believe she has ever done anything or accepted money from someone that would purposely compromise the safety or civility of our country. I personally don't like any politicians accepting donations from anyone including lobbyists, industries, etc... it perverts the position in my opinion. I am more concerned with the availability of congressional votes being for sale than rich people trying to get richer.

I would say that Hillary Clinton has been the most scrutinized person in the country for the last six years and that scrutiny was funded by tax revenue misappropriated by a republican congress. If in all that scrutiny nobody has found enough evidence of wrongdoing to indict her when all they, the GOP, really required was a single shred, than I would hazard to say that I personally don't think there's any there. I'm not a person that gets into speculation or assumption and such when it comes to things like that, at least I try not to be.
I'm certainly aware of our governmental history to meddle in the business of other countries, especially the mid-east and there are plenty of incidences in the past to draw from as far as my "not right" meter. None of them has sat well with me, I don't like it, but I know that it is part of being a world power. I can easily see where those contributions would not sit well with some. My issue is the hypocrisy and the lack of integrity shown by so many when it's not their candidate. I question the "anger" of those that weren't upset about it when it was their side doing it. Perfect example was the "outrage" displayed by the right when POTUS traded political prisoners of war, yet they all seem to forget that we traded political prisoners for Rep. John McCain many years ago. To me, you don't get to be outraged now when you weren't before.

Again, I appreciate your posts and by and large I honestly believe that HRC did a good job as SoS and would have made a good president, solely for my own reasons. I do not believe she is the best person for the job in the country at present but far better suited than the person we elected.

Even The NY Times was reporting on it.

Cash Flowed to Clinton Foundation Amid Russian Uranium Deal

I'm not a shill FDC but someone who sells American uranium to our enemies for personal profit should never be president. I would rather a flawed man like Trump than someone selling out to enemies.

Did you read the article you posted? You realize it clearly states that there is no evidence whatsoever to indicate that Hillary sold uranium to anyone nor that she did anything illegal.
Some of the story was taken from or contributed by a right leaning author that is writing a book called Clinton's Cash. The article never establishes any nexus between donations to the Clinton Foundation and the sale of Canadian company Uranium one. So yes, you are making this shit up. You don't even acknowledge that the sale of said company and mines had to go through several departments of our government and all were required to sign off on the sale, yet you try to imply that it was all Hillary. That's simply untrue and nothing more than propaganda that you want to believe.
So Reagan sold weapons to contras as well as Bush but no problem with that right? The war for oil in Iraq, didn't bat an eye, Cheney maintaining an interest in Haliburton that was awarded over 75% of all civilian contracts in Iraq after the war makes him a good citizen, right?
The fact that Trump hasn't paid federal taxes in years yet now my tax dollars will be used to pay the rent at Trump tower and pay him $283K every year for the rest of his life is quite the ironic twist don't you think? Knowing that he stole money from students, contractors, and veterans didn't bother you a bit, but a far fetched tale of international intrigue and scandal that is utterly and totally baseless was what swayed you to vote for a fraud, is that what you're trying to sell saint? Really?

I never said you were a shill, you did. Personally, I think you were voting republican no matter who it was and it ended up being a buffoon. Now you've joined in the Republican mantra to disregard truth and repeat what's useful. So in effect you've become a shill in denial.

You really should read things all the way through prior to posting a false narrative.

Hope this helps,
FDC

It's like beating your head against the wall. It's so blatantly obvious to any intelligent human being and yet if it doesn't fit their bias or narrative, as to what they perceive to be true, they just won't comprehend it at all. You stated facts and those just don't compute to the truth. She has been found guilty of nothing by a lifelong Republican, in front of Congress, and yet it doesn't somehow translate into anything legitimate. Even Republicans backed her during the campaign and it still held no legitimacy. The news industry has the same issues. So much fake news out there and when actual facts are presented, it just doesn't fit their bias and therefore it can't be true.....

Well stated here FDC!

Wow Leftists still pretty Butt Hurt over this election huh!
Liberal media fails to get their way after controlling the news for the entire election cycle but somehow still don't get the fact that they were promoting the more flawed candidate.
Liberals can say all they want about The "racist, homophobic, sexist, muslim hating" Donald Trump but bottom line is he thoroughly whooped Crooked Hillary and put an end to the corrupt all mighty Clinton machine.
You folks on the left had your 8 years now sit back and enjoy the ride!

Okay then. Way to contribute to the conversation.
I think the truck in stall three just needs the lug nuts torqued and is good to go after that stall two needs a spare patched.
Enjoy your day.

I bet there's some right leaning chests just bursting with pride now after reading this little gem. Yep, all you guys can rest easy tonight knowing that he's on your side. Represent!

THUMP! THUMP!

Before you go off, I am kidding. I have come to realize that there is nothing that gets accomplished by anyone on the subject of Politics. Nothing. Nada. Zilch. So why am I wasting my time even responding to any of the crap posted? Why not be like box and one, joker, hawkeye, jord20, Jack, etc. and just shut up? I will move towards that side of doing things now. I will leave this minutia of Politics talk to those that do it best, in their minds. At the end of the day, what does it settle? Nothing. Will anything change because of something any of us type? No. Our daily lives will just move forward and we all adjust to what is next in front of us. Period. Why get our individual blood pressures up because of disagreements we have and will ALWAYS have? I can feel your face getting red and your anger through the computer at many individuals you come up against politically. Just don't kill yourself doing it by having a heart attack. I am serious when I say that. Good luck in your other discussions surrounding this, because you will never stop.

So much quality in one post.

Lets see that liberal media got Trump elected by having him on tv 24/7 during the primaries and election cycle.

Hillary currently has a 2.5 million vote lead, so no idea how that equates to a whooping.

Your response is the epitome of the Butt Hurt.
Trumps coverage in the primaries was a direct result of 2 things
1- great ratings.
2- The Liberal press never thought he was a serious threat to win the primaries no less the general election, or else that free coverage as you call it would have looked much different and everyone knows it

As far as the popular vote goes, there is no such thing as winning it. Period.
The popular vote isn't and never has been a win/lose competition.
Means nothing, everyone who voted for Trump knows it, and so should those who voted for the crooked one.
If as you say Hillary won, tell me exactly what she won.
Is it a trophy, I know all leftists want everybody who tries to get a trophy?

A month later the Libs are still crying. Republicans are in charge and its time to get things done. America is going to be great again in no time. :toast:

Senate

I am disappointed Trump met with the biggest fraud that has ever lived, Al Gore. Climate change is a hoax its always been a hoax and will always be a hoax

Hedge couldn't be more correct about the whining.
The Liberals biggest fear is that someone like President Trump may actually make things better for everyone, in particular those minorities in the inner cities.
Then their continual cries of racism will be invalidated and the left knows those voters may be gone forever.
I guess the good thing for them is they still can go for the Syrian refugee vote.
FDC let me know when your done tightening those lugs and we can discuss this further.

I wasn't going to go off brother. I wasn't ever offended, maybe a bit pissed but I am imperfect.

I wish I were able to just let statements like hedgehogs or sbhtopdog's go by the wayside, unfortunately it's just not my nature. I see things like, "climate change is a hoax" and it just rubs my rhubarb the wrong way. I don't tolerate ignorance well and anyone that thinks it's a hoax is ignorant and beyond stupid. That thought process diminishes our country and the planet we inhabit. I can't help that it pisses me off. I think these things matter, I may not be able to change the world view or even hedge's viewpoint but for my own peace of mind I have to try. Who knows, maybe someday an action or conversation may find the right person. To me, that would make all of this worth it. Maybe that's just me dreaming and maybe it's even foolish, but it helps me personally to keep trying. I have things I'm passionate about and most of them are biological, ecological, or organic in nature, however some are social, cultural and global. I don't think I could live with myself if I didn't at least try to raise awareness of those things. I completely understand that just because I feel strongly about something doesn't mean everyone will, nor does it make me right or a better person. I know that, I truly do. I don't honestly know what drives me to do things the way I do, I just know that I am and I'll accept that.

Hope this helps,
FDC
