Well, there is only so much that we can do for the folks, as you describe, are dumber than shit.

Two sayings come to mind: "A fool and their money are soon parted" and "Survival of the fittest".

It's been that way since Adam and Eve and I'm sure it will be that way, way after we are gone.

It's like KOD always says "you can't fix stupid". And we have a ton of them that others make money on. Just the way it is.

Moral of the story - go to school, learn something (but don't stay in school forever, as you have to actually get some experience - unlike these idiots that take more than 4 years to finish college - if it takes you that long, you probably weren't cut out for college).

The strong survive - its always been that way, and always will be. People have sex like animals and reproduce just like them, with no foresight to the consequences. There are many of us that really haven't evolved and developed responsibility.

And for some folks to take advantage of those type of folks to make money - well, it has always been that way here (and in other countries) and will always will be. You can't fix stupid - but you can take advantage of it. AND EACH AND EVERYONE ONE OF YOU CAN REMEMBER AT LEAST ONE TIME IN YOUR LIFE WHERE YOU DID EXACTLY THAT.

Not to be crass, but that is the way it is - and was.

You will always have people that take advantage of the system. You would have to ask rusty about that. However, you can't penalize 98% of the population for the actions of rusty.

We are in the greatest nation that has ever been and we can't even agree that everyone should have basic health coverage. What a joke. Do you think people on welfare are actually happy about it? Shit happens. I honestly don't know anyone on welfare but do you think these people are jumping up and down for their checks? The bottom line is that in the US we should have a much better support system for the poor. It's a shame that we don't. The funny thing is that we are one of the worst countries when it comes to helping out those that need assistance. Of course we are number one in killing innocent people around the world. It's just a sick time.

Stevie - the teachers around here have a $0 deductible health plan, with no premiums required and only a $5 copay for drugs. Not even a copay required for a doctor office visit.

I challenge you to find a large private employer that offers that type of coverage. Look all you want - you won't find it.

That is the type of BS that goes on in Public unions that give Joe Taxpayer heartburn - when there comparable health plan has a $1500 deductible, $50 Dr. Copays and a $15/$25 Rx plan.

Huge difference.

Mags is that the standard plan that teachers have or is it one of their options? We have a plan something like that but it cost the employee about $1000 a month out of his pay.

I have what most have which is $35 co pays for doctors, $100 for ER, $100 for exray. $250 per person Deductable. 10-25-50 for scripts. In fact I an not taking one pill my doctor wants me to take because it is $50 bucks a month.

I think that is more like the average Public Worker for which I pay 25% of the premiums. I bet that is comparable to big private companies.

In our school district, that is the plan the teachers are given - oh, yea, they are paying $0 premium for this plan. Yep, that's right - a no cost sharing plan that they were paying $0 for.

However, you must realize that WI has huge problems with these type of plans in the public sector. Going forward (thank you Scott Walker), the teachers will be paying 12.6% of the health care costs - which is still a much better deal than teachers in other states get.

WI has been so far out of the norm in term of Public benefits - which is why the unions are fighting so hard to keep them.....and why there is such a revolt among the working class here. People that were not union government employees had no idea how good the teachers, et al had in terms of benefits.

One of the best things that this whole discussion in WI has brought out was the public awareness of the benefit packages public employees were getting. Working people are appalled. The transparency that has been brought about by the political issues has been good for the taxpayer, who previously had no idea of how generous the public sector benefits had been.....

I have no problem with teachers having to pay for benefits and most the people I have talked to are not against it either. It's the right to bargain that pisses the people I know off.

Plus the fact that he would not go after the public employees who supported his campaign. It looks like he cares more about the political agenda. Me and you will never agree about unions. Yeah maybe some of them get too much but many had to fight for years and years to get what they got. Without unions we would all be working for a lot less.

It lifts mood, which for some outweigh the moneyTo say it doesn't change your life IMO is false.Money isn't the answer joy and happyness far outweigh money.

Keep throwing money down the drain then. We'll see how the Patriot's Super Bowl Titles help you pay the heating bill when you have no money left from buying Tom Brady jerseys.

BP - I realize we have a difference of opinion. But the encouraging thing is, you are respectful when stating your opinions, rather than derogatory or vulgar (as some other posters are). I wish more folks could discuss politics (including our politicians) without getting derogatory or vulgar.....

Then why did Obama have the Dems vote the reimportation bill down, dumb a**????

As usual, it is one of 3 posters that start with the vulgarity - and you are the chief culprit.

Most of the posters do not start that stuff - but you consistently do - as your above post shows.

Most liberals can't debate their positions without using bad words and personal attacks.

Duff - if you and Sponge and the other liberal who I can't think of - if you guys would not attack other members and call them names, it is a pretty safe bet that this would be a much interesting, cordial forum with respectful discussion and comparison of positions/ideas.

But, clearly, that is not how you operate. If you aren't calling people names, I guess you just can't feel good about yourself.

GO SCOTT WALKER!

Scott,

You are not being realistic. When I finally have resorted to names, it is always after being subjected to numerous derogatory comments and name calling. And I know the purpose of it - to deflect the real issue and to try to upset me. While I don't care for it, it doesn't upset me. It just shows the intelligence of the poster.

And it never gets better - a post can start out about the issues, but then if a liberal poster doesn't like my, Pro's, or DTB's position, then they start with the name calling.

Not unlike the Dems who call every Republican racist if they disagree with Obama's policiies.

I'd be happy to let by gones be by gones, but I have a hunch that some posters enjoyment in posting is tied directly to name calling of those who have positions that they don't agree with.

Speaking of recovery

I just saw Sen Sanders from Vt

He stated that the top 400 wealthiest ppl in the United States.

Make as much as 150 million ppl in the middle class.

Shit there are only 230 million Americans eligible to work.

And I would almost guarantee you that these wealthiest ppl are able to get around tax issues.

Think about this .

Any sane person dem or repub

how can we not raise taxs in this case .

this country is fawked
