just outside of D.C.
And all I know is that this thread got awfully quiet after Sunday

Been away from site....but knew this forum pages was going to be open....SF has a lot of work to do!! I don't have a strong opinion on this debate as it is only week #3 and a lot of football yet.....all I know is RG3 and Kapernick gets all kinds of hype and the real QB that is the TRUE STUD in my eys has always been Andrew Luck and my opinion on that will definitely never waver

Another guy that is simply buying his time is Osweiler. We wont know for awhile on this one bt has all the tools and learning from one of the best.....

Lets also not forget about Tannehill.....this guy is getting the jo done! Like his composure and arm strength! Long way to go and winning helps with a solid D...but kid looks good!:0074

alright gotta give my thoguhts - looking at my avatar, some will think I'm a homer but here goes.

Yes - the league has caught on to the read option, but in the pocket Kap is a good thrower, accurate and has a strong arm (not calling him Brady or Rodgers, but stats don't lie - in the pocket he's good) Saying his arm isn't strong is kinda rediculous..

Out of the pocket - different story. I think the stat is 25% completion % out of the pocket this year  and has shown some serious happy feet when he doesn't have time. I don't think its all his fault though.

I've seen the 9ers play a completely different run game this season. Even when it has worked, Roman continues to try and base this offense around Kap, and lets face it - that's not how the 9ers play.

This has led to a huge # of 3 and outs, which leads to a D getting tired, which leads to the pressure going squarely on the back of Kap - And he has shown he can't handle that yet...

I say give the guy some time though.. Everyone forgets he hasn't even put in a whole season. Way too early to say he's done..

IMO of course

May I ask you a question? Well I will ask it and you can choose to answer it, how's that.

When you posted this, you expected that people would read it, comprehend it and if they chose to respond, then respond as to the content of your post, correct? This particular thread has a number of replies, many by myself, and a great number of them clearly speak to the weak arm comment and most of them address my amendment to that comment. So either you did not read the thread and just decided to make a ridiculous statement or you did read the thread and chose to ignore all of the clearly stated amendments and decided to make a shitty little comment about it anyway. Which is it? I am just curious as to why you expect anyone at all to put any consideration into your post when you clearly ignored the content of mine and everyone else's? While I am rather confident that you will probably be a little upset by this particular post, that would be ridiculous as it is isn't meant to make you upset. That isn't the point of this post at all. Just like the arm strength of Kap was not the point of this entire thread, but the fact that he is overrated. He was given far too much credit before it was due. To put him anywhere near the top ten quarterbacks in the league would be ridiculous. Now I am not sure what the hell you posted because I gave you the same respect you gave everyone else and ignored it. I did also mirror your efforts to pick out the one statement you made that I thought I could get the most mileage out of and decided to be sarcastic and shitty about it. I like to show people the same amount of respect and kindness that you showed me. How am I doing so far?

Hope this helps,
FDC

In other words, we already cleared up the weak arm comment. I don't think he throws deep outs accurately and he has no touch on his passes. He can throw hard yes but not well. We have already been over it a number of times. I am guessing you knew all of this already, that is why I didn't react well to your post.

it took you 130 posts for you to come around to the fact that kaepernick throws hard (ie: has a cannon for an arm)

welcome.

now.....260 more posts before you come around to the other "comment" that Terrell pryor is better??

that's all this thread turned into

Oh for fuck's sake. Dude, it's like saying............which side is better to have a stroke on. How long until you admit that Kaepernick throws hard but not well?

Besides, your just mad that I am right.

FDC nailed it, we saw just how good Kap and the team he toyed with (Green Bay) was today. Kap is a sub par quarterback that will eventually start showboating more and running around when playing good teams, and get knocked on his ass real good. Will the injury be as bad as RG3 or worse. Who knows? I watched a lot of that Skins game today and I can tell you one thing - he's not near as good as he was last year. The reason, I'm not 100% but I think he's scared. He'll be average in the future, just like Kap will be eventually too. I know all of the West Coast Fan Boys are going to disagree with me, but I don't care. One last note "How about 'dem Cowboys?"

Man that's a hard read. Talk about rambling about a whole lot of nothing. I think I read at least 8 different topics there and still can't figure out what this or who it was about.

all good FDC. I don't take offense, and certainly didn't mean for you take it to my comments. I agree with you 100% that he is NOT a touch thrower.. all he can do is throw bullets, but for him to be worth a dam, he has to put a little air under it. Kap has a lot of work to do. I see that after watching the last 2 train wrecks..

cheers

In truth, I was a bit overly shitty to you, so I am sorry about that. I was in a bad mood and was tired of explaining the whole weak arm thing. I was watching the last game and on a roll out he threw the ball about 68 mph to a guy 12 yards down the field and it went right off the receivers hands. It is hard to teach touch and poise in the pocket and I think that is what is abandoning him. Last season, everything seemed to go right for him and he was very successful despite these little shortcomings. This season, many of the plays that worked last season are not working this season and he is falling into some bad habits. Harbaugh has to get these things fixed in a hurry and it is Harbaugh's job to recognize it and help initiate the fix for Kaepernick to buy into it and make the necessary adjustments.

Cheers Omie.

He looks awesome. I said from the first game I saw him play, that the dude is a stud. He will not be the problem if this team has them this year

I stayed far away from this thread, but what you posted above was my initial thought exactly...

suppose since I chose to chime in, I should elaborate

and i still believe it...

he fuckin ripped greenbay apart.

lost in seattle, which is the hardest place in the world to play....remember when Rodgers went up there and lost only scoring like 13 points???????? yea hard to score there....

then came home, and play against the highest touted young QB since Elway.....game was much closer then score showed.....oh yea, and did I mention he lost to a kid whom an organization chose over peyton manning?

1-2 record in the first 3 games does not make me think that all of a sudden this kid got lucky making it to the superbowl last year...

He beat Aaron Rodgers and Matt ryan in Atlanta to make it to the superbowl....a bad QB doesn't do that on his luckiest day....most certainly not after starting down 17-0 or whatever it was in Atlanta early...

and yea he ripped greenbay apart week 1, with the killer receiving core of kyle Williams and vance McDonald....take away boldin, and there is not a receiver on this team that would make many rosters...

does he need to improve? of course

peyton manning has things he could improve on

it is the nfl...sometimes people struggle for a few weeks early on....this kid doesn't panic...tonight is a good example of that...

my initial picks for the superbowl had San Fran playing Denver....i stand by that still.

Sanfran is built for late season.....they will have to figure out how to go through seattle, but that is a long way away.

Apologies again, I am on my phone and suck at posting on it.

Now, I have seen many people get worked up in this thread...I am simply stating my opiions....i know these statements aren't facts....just sharing my thoughts on this young talent....

and oh yea, Dolphins and tannenhill are the best team in the NFL :SIB
