167 yards isn't exactly tearing it up. Especially when you count the number of offensive chances they had tonight. I hope you all believe in your team. The problem is that the NFC Championship has just as good a chance of going through Chicago as it does Seattle. San Francisco won't beat either one.

I don't think anyone said he was "tearing it up" since choice of words seems so critical in this thread. I said he was having a solid game. 167 isn't huge but he threw for 2 scores and had a 115 QB rating for the game. Only 3 rushes, but a couple of those extended scoring drives by picking up a first down I believe.

And yes, STL's defense isn't good, I think everyone realizes that. Just as people should realize young QB's are apt to struggle against good defenses.

You Just Did....Now don't forget to spit out the feathers.........Caw...Caw ..Caw !!!!

Dude, he threw for 167 yards in St. Louis.Big fucking deal. He still isn't an elite qb by any stretch. Frank Gore led that team to victory. Kaepernick did his job. He wasn't spectacular or memorable in any way so settle down. He's still overrated and if you think his performance last night makes him deserving of all the preseason hype then you are vastly mistaken.

he had less than 200 passing against STL big deal

running game was there this week so it made throwing easier

Lets see him against a good defense

big win for SF last night we will see the rest of the season how it goes

My question:

is cutler really a superbowl QB?

Hasn't done much in playoffs

Probably the most turnover prone qb who is considered "above average"

I mean you are crowning chicago and knockin sanfran, a year after one missed the playoffs, and the other beat greenbay, atlanta, and nearly won a superbowl title.

A average qb does not come back when down 20 points in ATL in the confrence championship.

I know you have a good team in CHItown, but seems like every year people talk about how its their year, and always seem to miss postseason or lose round 1.

And with a rookie HC in the NFL at that.....

I would absolutley be on sanfran ML if they played in chicago, and I'm sure you would be opposite.

That's the beauty of it, opinions and random outcomes, but I guess I just don't get how anyone could not think Kap has the potential to be a great QB in this league.

In one year as a starter, he won more playoff games and made it to more superbowls then a lot of good qbs....cutler has had what like 8 years to try and make a superbowl?

I think cutler is good for sure, like I said just don't think any NFL front office guy would take him over KAP. JMHO.

Well first of all you are talking about two totally different teams. San Fran did well as a team not because Kaepernick strapped a shitty team to his back and took them to the playoffs and superbowl. Marino spent his career trying to win a Super Bowl, so did Jim Kelly, and Fran Tarkenton and he is no Dan Marino. He is an okay quarterback on a great team. Much like Flacco was last year. That is it.

I had to chime in hear. FDC you couldn't of wrote something like the NFC championship game has as much chance going through Chicago as it does Seattle with a straight face. On my iPhone so I can't get the emicon of a little dude rolling with laughter. I'll give you credit you maybe more of a homer than I am. Chicago is nice little team, they do some things right, defense takes the ball away but they have NO shot hosting NFC champ game, none. They will be fortunate to win the division.
