Ugh, as father of 2 roughly that age, that hits home. Hard to believe so many are injecting their kids with vaccines that aren?t fda approved.
It?s a gamble?a huge gamble actually because we (my wife and I) are dealing with our own kids in regards to the vaccine.
I sent my 11-year old daughter off to a 5-day camp yesterday morning with her church group. This particular Kids Camp is for kids 3rd-6th grades. Obviously, the bulk of these kids are not vaccinated. Am I worried? I wish I can say with certainty that my child will come home as healthy as the day she left for this trip. I truly believe the risks of contracting the Corona Virus is quite low now, even with only a 40% vaccination rate in our area. My hope is that if my daughter contracts the virus, she can fully recover with no long-term effects. It is a risk and a gamble, but I am willing to take the chance to provide my kid a full experience in life.
Vaccines are readily available and can easily be accessed in our area for everyone 12 years of age and older, but we are still holding out for my 14-year old daughter. I am still looking at statistics on this age group, but I might cave in soon due to the recent uptick in the Covid-19 Delta variant.
