I'm not so much bothered by a unanimous decision. I am very surprised about the 49-46.

I thought Round 1 was a toss-up.

Round 2 = 10-8

Round 3 = Rampage, but not a lot of action

Round 4 = Toss-up. Griffin more active, Rampage bigger shots.

Round 5 = Toss-up. Great finishing round. Both guys throwing and landing.

One thing I noticed is that Mike Goldberg called anything that landed (whether on the arm, face, or on the button) was a BIG SHOT BY JACKSON. He was definitely in the camp that didn't think Griffin had a shot.

Two of the judges had the fight with rounds 1, 3, 4, 5 split between the two of them. But they also had Griffin winning round 2 at 10-8.

I don't see that as off by anything at all.

Then that makes the 49-46 just one of the toss-up rounds that were scored to Rampage by the other two judges going Griffin's way.

I don't see a problem with this judging at all.

Absolutely great fight. Lived up to the hype (and maybe more since Griffin wasn't given a chance by most).

I'm probably a bigger Rampage fan than Griffin, but I also like guys that don't get the credit and just keep producing.

Well, I just think the LHW division is a joke right now with Dana letting it go how it is.

Rampage is overrated, I hate the guy as is because of him and Wandy. Forrest I simply don't think is a top 5 LHW. He'll struggle against guys like Chuck and Wandy. One thing I've noticed about Forrest is he talks all this about liking to bring it, and push the pace, BUT he doesn't like the pace pushed on him whatso ever.

I just hate how the LHW division was handled with giving Griffin a title shot just because he beat an injured Shogun. I still think that guys like Chuck, Wandy, Silva, Machida, previously Tito, and even Rashad are better than Forrest without putting much thought into it as to other fighters.

Sure Forrest won, but can you walk away saying you were impressed?

Afterall, he did beat a proven inconsistent Rampage.

This shit sickens me. I don't even like Jackson, but the fact that the judges scored this a UNANIMOUS decision shows how retarded they are.

Bucks i gave it 4-2 to Rampage with Forrest only winning one round and that was a ten eight. How do you take a champs belt away giving close rounds to the challenger? You can't take the belt away from Rampage like that. He almost knocked Forrest head off the four rounds i thought he won.

almeida`s the second coming of travis lutter.....he`s gassed after 1 round.....

rd 3 coming up and almeida`s through...

disgusting...
I picked that up to (after the first round thank goodness for the ripped glove for his sake)and the announcers say nothing till the very end. I still think he won the fight tho cause i gave him a 10-8 in round one. Cote did absolutely nothing this fight. Almeida didn't do much either but boy what a boring fight. At least a draw.

What a kuntable UFC this is for me :mj07:

Miller wins with 10 seconds left.

Aurilio looked like shit.

Tibeau is controlling big daddy Joe and then decides to start going for fancy arse subs then gets caught in the most basic of subs.

Ricardo trains for a 1 round fight.

Forrest is about to get KO'd as I bet him. Fade me as quick as you can:00hour :scared
Well, Thank Fuk for Forrest. He turned an INCREDIBLY shitty night into just a shitty night.

My 2 huge bets were on Forrest and Almeida and I had far more on Almeida. I got Forrest at +250 so that helped cancel out the "weepaul is as dumb as Fuk" bet:00hour

Hope you guys had a better night than me.

One thing that is really getting to me with these fights is this Goldberg talking about silly shit during the fight. Every fight its like Suzy Kolber and her dramatic crap when she does the nfl. Rogan constantly has to cut him off when something happens in the fight.

Round 4 = Toss-up. Griffin more active, Rampage bigger shots.

:mj03:

Rampage won Round 4 with ease. Rampage way more active with bigger shots. All Griffin did was try for a triangle and got dropped on his head for it.

I thought Rampage did enough to win round 1,3,and easy 4.
Griffin won round 2 10-9 because he just wasn't active enough to get a 10-8. Griffin 10-9 in 5th.

I had Rampage winning 48-47. He dominated round 4 more than Griffin dominated round 2.

We see this fight differently. I think the only huge, knock your head off punch landed was in the 1st.

The only round that I see Rampage 100% winning was round 3 and that was the most boring round of the fight. Round 2 was 100% Griffin (everyone in agreement). The other 3 were complete toss-ups. Aggression, for the most part, was on Griffin's side.

Bucs...........you need to wake up and realize Pride wasn't very good.......Forest beats Rampage and Shogun and you don't even think he's top 5.........nice analysis :mj07:

And I am not sure what fight you were watching but ya better be damn sure Forest won that fight.......what fight were you watching?.......Forest won by unanamous decision yes, he did, and that was the correct decision. Are you going to tell me you thought Rampage won that fight:mj07:

Forest not top 5 in the division!!......Who does he have to beat for you to put him in top 5!!! Might be one of the dumbest comments I have read on here in a long time:mj07: How can anyone possibly say he isn't in the top 5:scared

Agree completely on this. This is actually the first I found out Cote lost. I walked away during decision.

Pathetic fight. I just assumed Cote won in a decision 2 rounds to 1.

kick that is easy to say since you bet Forrest. I didn't bet anything. You give close rounds to the champ. I just went to another site where a guy is huge with MMA and he had the same score as me. Forrest won one round and the rest were to close to even consider giving it to the challenger.

Im old school and i think you got to take that belt away. Not like that. Hell they should have giving Henderson the win over Rampage. I think the limping of the leg clouded everyones thinking. Round four Forrest was hurt once or twice got a triangle and it was broken up by rampage. 5 was so close there is no way you give it to the challenger.

"the bunker"
i had rampage in a parlay...and i have to say that i had it close after 4......

and i honestly thought griffin won the 5th,pretty clearly...rampage basically took the 1st 4 minutes of the 5th off....ala ali.....

griffin outworked him in the 5th,and therefore, deseved the nod(imo)....

it was close,though....

hit with cole(luckily),but lost my 2 little dogs(aurelio and almeida)....

and lost a parlay with rampage...had a good night in boxing with sturm via decision and the inside the distance with holt.....so we made out pretty well...

the most disappointing thing for me was almeida...the fight was right there for him and he absolutely wasn`t in shape...he was gassed after the first...he reminded me of travis lutter....

and it wasn`t a fast paced fight....

now i understand why he took 5 years off...doesn`t look like his hearts in it.....

I would like to see the two judges score card at 48-46 to see which two rounds each got.

My guess is that they had Rampage with 3 and 4.

I don't see how there is this much uproar over this decision. There have been way worse.

I did not have money on it, and I like both fighters about equally. Maybe a slight edge to Rampage because the dude is funny as hell. But Griffin is from Athens. :)

kegray1 -- you mentioned you have Rampage winning 48-47. So you really only have one round scored the opposite way and didn't give Griffin a 10-8. Not too far away from two of the judges.

I'm no fight expert (probably very obvious at this point), but I really had no clue whose hands were going to be raised going into the decision.
