I tend to believe this is true....I am so sick of this fuker Chavez coming in heavy in his fights....he cheats everytime he fights in Mexico....He did the same thing against Celaya....

Same fishy shit used to happen with his old man. Only difference is the old man had the balls to step in the ring with the best of the best during the time (and win). Junior hasn't faced anyone better than Vanda....

where you been Eddy?
hope all is well....

yeah, the Chavez family are a bunch of cheating a-holes....

The guy Junior is fighting tonight is AWFUL....he shouldn't need the 10 extra pounds, small ring, biased judging, etc.

"the bunker"
Armstrong did it 70 years ago; is he the only one allowed....?

puh-lease...armstrong started his career fighting at 133....the heaviest he ever weighed for a fight was one time at 148....15 pounds...he may have beaten bigger guys...but he never became "the bigger guy"...

manny started out at 106...and he`s already fought at 142(next fight at 144)....that`s nearly 40 pounds!....he`s practically increased his original fighting weight by a full third(i said tripled originally.:D ..).......and much of it`s sitting on his shoulders...

he actually looks bigger than cotto in those pictures....and i don`t get that...

RESULT
WBA/WBC female welterweight champion Cecilia ?The First Lady? Braekhus
(13-0, 2 KOs) from Norway kept her unbeaten record intact and defended her regalia for the second time with a workmanlike ten-round unanimous decision over fellow undefeated (now 13-1 with 6 KOs) German-based Italian Lucia Morelli. At the end, all three judges saw it unanimously 99-91, 98-92 and 97-93 (as did Fightnews) for the defending champ.

:nono:

Armstrong started at 120 (18 years 7 months).
Pac started at 106 (16 years 2 months).

If you add 2 years 5 months to Pac, he's fighting at around 113. So you got nearly exactly the same jump in weight (28 pounds).

Is it me or do you just feel about Pac the same i feel about Lola ? :142smilie

Everyone looks good. Mijares, in particular, looks better than he has looked in a while. Cermeno is a decent price at +200, especially since he won before but I think Mijares gets it right this time in another competitive fight.

Corpulent John McDermott has gone 0-3 in his last bouts but he probably should be 3-0. He should rematch Skelton, I'm sure the result would be much different now.

120 is right(i missed the other screens at boxrec:D) ..but,you`re attributing a 14 pound difference which is significant for small fighters...16 or 18...

and henry`s head didn`t have it`s own solar system...

i think manny`s using something...he`s so much thicker...and his forehead and jawline are completely different from his early career..

i know,that`s not proven...it`s my gut...

but,i`m not holding my breath for it to be proven....boxing(like baseball and steroids),loves the money and notoriety that manny brings....

I'm a little nervous on Nietes. I saw that Graham thinks the dog has a good shot. This is strictly a boxrec wager for me so I havn't much else to back the wager. The fight should be close and I upped the amt on the over which is my big play on the week. I'm probably going to leave it alone but a small scalp is still available.

Martinez is now fighting Fidor Viloria and there is a line @the greek albeit VERY wide.

Poker night tonight so I won't get any results til very late. I probably would have bought 1 of the ppvs but no time tonight. Best of luck everybody!

The same can be said of about any fighter 10 years apart ( with some notable exceptions).

And contrary to you, i don't think Manny's bigger than Hatton/ Cotto.
Not by a mile.

And no supplement will make you a world beater if you aren't already one ( look at all the fighters who flanked the post fight urine test; Vargas vs Hoya comes to mind)

I think supplements do play a role in the HW division, where anyone can bulk as much as they like (and do).

But in tiny / smaller weights ?
Not a chance.

Manny's just a phenom.
Always was.

montiel

cuz chavez jr doesnt really train

good luck everyone, I think Nietes oppoment Vargas, looks a shade undernourished but putting too much stock into weigh-in is tricky. Jose Luis Castillo often looked starved and he got his legs going..

I'm taking a shot with Mayol along with a few others here, if Calderon is able to put on a clinic for 12 rounds, more power too him but I don't think his last 2 TD early endings are coincidental, With Cazares and Mayol types, he's fighting much bigger men and those 34 year old legs got some miles- go Mayol. IMO, the 2nd Cazares fight was getting a little dicey for Calderon and he very slyly initiated that head butt and it got him out of the fight. Didn't see the Mayol head clash, but another wouldn't suprise me so I took a little under action...
