"the bunker"
The same can be said of about any fighter 10 years apart ( with some notable exceptions).

And contrary to you, i don't think Manny's bigger than Hatton/ Cotto.
Not by a mile.

And no supplement will make you a world beater if you aren't already one ( look at all the fighters who flanked the post fight urine test; Vargas vs Hoya comes to mind)

I think supplements do play a role in the HW division, where anyone can bulk as much as they like (and do).

But in tiny / smaller weights ?
Not a chance.

Manny's just a phenom.
Always was.

weights have nothing to do with it...where`d you get that from?...

you don`t think steroids or hgh can make a difference in performance?...then you obviously aren`t familiar with baseball or track and field...

Valdez KOs Montiel

the crazy boxing year continues
decision was initially a tech draw...now they are saying TKO

fightnews:

Bantamweight Alex Valdez (22-3-2, 15 KOs) scored an upset third round KO over WBO champion Fernando Montiel (39-3-1, 29 KOs). Montiel dropped Valdez in round one, but Valdez floored Montiel in round two. Montiel was cut over the left eye by a punch in round one that later caused the bout to be stopped before the beginning of the fourth round. The fight was originally declared a technical draw, but changed to a KO for Valdez.

Controversy in Mexico
Montiel cut and badly hurt, bows out between round 3 and 4
he is trying to get an NC....he knew if round 4 was completed he would be screwed on the cards....not very brave of Fernando
Official Result - Tech Draw......BS.....Montiel backers dodged a bullet.....

Looks like they switched and gave Valdez the TKO - Fightnews.

Godfrey gets by Simms

Hometowner Michael Simms toyed with an upset by pulling off a first-round knockdown, but lost a majority decision Saturday night to IBF No. 3 cruiserweight contender Matt Godfrey in their 10-round main event, highlighting the Red Lion Hotel?s first outdoor boxing card in Sacramento. ?The (only) knockdown should have been the difference,? said Simms (20-12-2), disappointed in the judges? scores of 96-93, 95-93 and 94-94.

Thanks Ghost. I've been out of town for work (and will continue to be for the next 2 months). I come home on the weekends but don't get to handicap as much as i like to. However I like some prop bets for next weekend.....

Hope your plays have been going well
