Tito looked winded against Forrest and im not sure about Chuck cause he got knocked out twice. Here is something Tito said about GSP :mj07: I wonder what Kick will think cause it looks like Tito threw him under the bus a bit.

Adam Wagner: So are you saying that a lot of these fighters who we see on television as the faces of the UFC, do you think that behind the scenes, they are commenting on that type of thing but are just afraid to say it?

Tito Ortiz: Of course they're commenting on it. There are all kinds of guys ? Georges St. Pierre, I know he's very disgusted with the UFC, but it?s just one of those things where they give him little small things that he thinks are great. He gets a brand new Hummer, like "Wow, I get an awesome new Hummer" (and it) costs 50 grand, and all of a sudden I gotta pay taxes on it, and I gotta pay for gas, and dutta-dutta-duh.

These little small things they give them to make fighters happy because they know they've never had those things before. Well let?s think about when fighters have their cars and have their houses, and now all of sudden, they?re like, "Well I want to start paying bills. I want to start paying for all this stuff, because I'm not gonna be able to fight for the rest of my life," you know.

I can't be the president of a company and say what happens and say what goes here and what goes there. I want to be a fighter. You got to think outside of the box, and not just think as a fighter, but think as a businessman.

That's what it really comes down to, because there are other fighters who are screaming as loud as they possibly can ? under their own tone. And they can?t say anything, because the UFC holds a thumb over them. If they speak out, they?ll squash 'em. Just as they did with Randy Couture, they squashed him.

If you try to compare how a fighter is gonna do based on how he did against previous or other fighters, then you're just looking into a tunnel with no ending. In MMA, that's certainly not a good way to bet.

I agree Bucs, MMA "math" as they say doesn't work. I would be all over Tito if I knew fighting was the most important thing to him right now. The only guys in the last few years that have beat him were totally able to negate his strength. Randy is just a bigger better version of him and Chucks sprawl is unreal. I'm not sure Machida will be able to stop his takedowns.

You know what I like most about this thread.......It gets me pumped to watch the fights to see what will happen.

These next 2 PPV's are most certainly on an elite level as far as I'm concerned. The UFC has alot going on in its favor here in the near future.

I still think Machida wins, Tito's done IMO. He failed to take his game to a new level when the sport started to expand. He'll never be a striker. He's only looked good on the ground against guys who have weak ground games.

I mean, taking down Ken Shamrock and beating him on the ground isn't that impressive to me.

Tito's SOS(strength of schedule) if you will, is very overrated if you ask me. You could very well run down the line of his opponents and then look at his record and notice that he's virtually 12-5-1 without the Shamrock wins. Then take into account the close wins over a few opponents and he's merely just an average fighter.

I've never been impressed with Tito in his career. I just think he was a product of the UFC being very weak at the time he dominated.

In the modern MMA his fight against Wandy would've gone very different because Tito did no damage, would've been boo'd out of the gym, and the fight would've been stood up multiple times.

Tito will win...and Jardine will walk through Wandy..but do ya think Dana wants Tito to win:mj07:

Commenting on Ortiz's fight with Machida, White said, "I don't win or lose fights for anybody. I sit there, and I watch, and I see what happens, and we go from there. So never at any time am I sitting there hoping this guy loses, but I can tell you what, I never wanted to see somebody get their ass kicked worse than I want to see Tito get his ass kicked on Saturday night."

And for those that don't think Tito will be ready for this fight are on acid....I mean ya just know Tito wants to win just to piss White off:SIB Also, I know I said it before but how is the UFC going to keep the microphone away from Tito for a full two days.....I mean when he wins, what is Joe Rogan going to do...just stand there:shrug:

wow.......lots money coming in on Penn....I figure now is best time to get in on Sherk......I don't think I'll get better odds on him, so will go with it now....plays now look like this:

MMA Record (since UFC 58)
---------------------------------------------

Prop Bet 14-5
Fighter vs. Fighter 60-58
Parlays 29-34

+73.10 Joe Rogans

Tito Ortiz beat Lyoto Machida $2.80 *2.5 Joe Rogans

Keith Jardine beat Wanderlei Silva $2.40 *2.5 Joe Rogans

Sean Sherk beat BJ Penn $3.15 *1.5 Joe Rogans

Well it's pick time. I can't believe it but I seem to always pick Tito and for the price I think it's a must for this UFC.

Tito +163 2units
Sherk +216 .5 unit
Axe murderer -157 .5unit

If the Tito fight was more than 3 rounds I would be on Machida but with 3 round I think Tito gnp's out a decision. I think BJ wins but for the odds I think Sherk is the play. I'm taking Wandy because I think there's a good chance he comes up big here. If he can find his old aggressive style he'll win easily. Jardine loves to dip his head and that sets up for Wandy's clinch and knee to the face. Too bad we don't have stomps on the ground. I may have a few more but I want to see the odds.

Anyone have all of the odds?

Tito isn't a fool. Win or lose he isn't gonna act up on the mic. He knows what is best for his career in moving forward. I bet he is all class. I wouldn't be surprised if after the fight he shakes Dana's hand. Now will Dana shake it back? Who knows. class isn't one of Dana biggest attributes. Both these guys have big ego's.

Lay i think im going with the "watch and enjoy" route. Those three fights i can build a case for each side. I'll just sit back and enjoy it without my chest pumping rooting for my wager. Maybe something on the undercard. This is a super card. Have to give the ufc props for that.

Thanks Kickserv. Think I'll try the Players one. I've just moved from the UK where the only way to watch it is at home so I'll try something new. Hopefully there are some educated MMA fans at these bars!

No problem......and yes it does depend on the bar...I have watched about 5 UFC's in the bars...sometimes great...sometimes not so great. It depends what you are looking for....I like the ones where they crank the sound, nothing worse then being able to see it, but not hear it:nono: And yes, most of the time you are surrounded by fans that know what they are talking about. And ummmm sometimes not:mj07:

Although bring cash with ya....some drunk dudes like to throw down the cash, and they don't have a clue who is fighting:mj07: Still like this quote from they last time I was watching.....

"Hey 50 bucks on the guy in the white shorts...any takers?" :mj07:

Dean of Mean vs. Axe Murderer

Dean of Mean vs. Axe Murderer

line has moved from Silva (-160) & Jardine (+130) to..... Silva (-190) & Jardine (+155) in my book.

just a heads up to all those who like Jardine here... may want to keep an eye out and add to ur play

only now am i tempted to make a play on Jardine, but still gonna pass. this fight would give me an aneurysm if i were to bet on it... too exciting.

i have to think Silva gets the KO... at least that is what my crystal ball is showing me. :SIB feel like the line is closer to correct now than b4... still cant pull the trigger either way... my crystal ball betrays me sometimes :(

Why is everybody picking the 3 hard fights on this card when there is one fight that seems to good to be true:
The African Assassin Sokoudjou(-250) over Nakamura---This will be a 1stR KO. I HAVE LITTLE OR NO DOUBT.

As for the other 3 fights:
BJ handles Sean with no issues. BJ only tired when he put on weight abd moved up. Sean off the roids so no telling on his stamina.

Wandy over Jardine-- Wandy will be all over him which is not what Chuck did to Keith. Keith can't finish Wandy and Wandy pressure will keep Keith from winning a decision.

Machida over Tito.-- If this goes to the cards and it is somewhat close, does anyone think Tito will get the decision in his last UFC fight. Tito needs a stoppage and that wont happen.

Just my two cents.

wow kegray.......I totally disagree with all your picks:mj07: :mj07:

Even like Nakamura, but not sure if I'll put Rogans on him or not.

Love Sherk, Jardine, and Tito at nice odds:SIB

Love Jardine to win:SIB

I guess that is why they call it gambling. I am sitting out all except Soko fight.
Nakamura is 11-7 and all 11 wins are fairly weak.7 losses are against above average guys(Nog twice,Hendo finished him quick,Wandy had his way with him in a 1stR KO).
Nakamura has 2 KO's and 2 Sub. 7 decisions. I don't think he can take what Soko is going throw at him at all.

GOOD LUCK MY FRIEND.

And I do want Tito to win,but just dont think he gets it done with ground and pound with Dana White sitting next to the judges.

Sean is gonna flat get out worked. Please dont compare Franca to BJ.
