okay as of now im gonna go one fight. After watching Bas Rutten show on HDNET he likes Vandy and basically said the same thing about Sherk/Penn as most. Penn inside three or Shirk wins. Im gonna take a shot at Sherk. Hate to bet against BJ but these odds are to good to pass up. Tim Silvia said he has never saw Sherk this furious. I know that usually doesn't mean much but at least i know the guy is focused and reading that article i posted earlier shows me i was right about Penn looking like he was gonna fall over after his last fight. Bas also said that he thought Vandy wins because of experience. He didn't have an opinion on which way to go in the Tito fight. He also basically said Thiago Silva is the real deal. I would like to go against Salvery but i can't bet it blind not knowing anything about his opponet besides him being 16-1:scared . Did he beat 16 cab drivers in Mexico?:shrug: Sherk for me in an average play.

If it comes down more i might give a shot Weasel. these toss up fights im not a to thrilled on taking the favorite. If Vandy wins i wonder if it is a knee that spells the end for Jardine. I personally like Jardines hands and i think he just made a mistake against Alexander. Bas is pretty good at picking these fights. I couldn't help myself and after doing some reading i put a little on the guy fighting Salverry. UFC says he is 16-1 but Sherdog says 7to 1.
Oh shit i had Ivan Salverry mixed up with Elvis Sinosic. Oh what an Idiot i am. I knew something was wrong when i looked at his opponents. Ivan isn't bad. Im out of that fight. Its Elvis that i think sucks not Ivan. Kick suspend me from the thread for two hours okay?
The line for Palhares has fallen all the way to EVEN. I just wish i knew more about the guy... i would totally go against Ivan Suckery.
Now for some fun.... gonna make some predictions for the three main bouts...
Penn/Sherk... Penn wins by submission (RNC) late rd. 2 or 3... I think both fighters stand for a little while... actually think it may be Penn to first go in for the takedown (like he did against Gomi)... i think Sherk is so pissed off it will actually hurt him on the ground... if hes getting pounded on, his ego will kick in and he'll give up his back to BJ... BJ will pepper him w/ a few shots while riding Sherk's back and BOOM! Rear naked choke... Sherk goes night-night :mj18:
Machida/Ortiz... Ortiz always seems to stand for at least a little while... I think he stands up for a little while until Machida gets comfortable then shoots and SLAMS Machida and pounds away w/ elbows... blood everywhere... Machida freaks out :142smilie and makes the takedowns easier in the remaining rounds... Tito controls from the top most of the time and gets a unanimous decision... Machida will not walk away from this fight unscathed like all his others.. :nono:
Silva/Jardine... if Wandy fights like his old, aggressive self again he gets the TKO late rd. 2... Jardine will have to hurt Wandy early to survive all three rounds w/ Silva. I think Silva gets confident and lets his hands go since he and Jardine r similar in size... Both have good conditioning and Silva eventually catches him... "OH, JARDINE IS HURT !!! HERB DEAN MAY STOP IT !!! IT'S ALL OVER.... u get the picture...
...I feel like theres a chance Jardine does something fishy and goes for some takedowns in this one... if this happens he'll beat Silva b/c Silva cant defend the takedown and Jardine has some ground skills that he hasnt shown yet.
This was kind of fun.. if any tailers read this PLEASE DONT TAKE IT SERIOUSLY im just having some fun and killin some time.
All should be very entertaining, but it was difficult to even conjure up thoughts on the Silva/Jardine fight... :shrug:
