It's not the calories in alcohol that hurt you. It's bad when you're trying to lose weight because your body burns alcohol before anything else so you're not using up the calories from the food you eat.

plus carbonated drinks swell the stomach thus giving off signals of hunger.Harder to sate the ballon belly than the little one..

Day 2 for me. About 1050 calories yesterday but the big thing was no beer!!

I'm not going to weigh myself daily I'll go once a week or every 2 weeks.

Going to look at bikes today so I can start some sort of excercise program. GL guys!!

check craigslist for any and all exercise equipment..

it is full of sales by folks who buy the equipment and then quit and the equipment just gathers dust..

some of the equipment is brand new and never used.

Hell yeah Jack! Keep it up!

Completely off caffeine after a week of pure hell. I figured with all the cokes (soda pop for you non southerners) I was drinking that's AT LEAST a pound a week.

Had a dream last night that I was sitting in Vegas up 10 grand at the Sportsbook with Wake Forrest in the final game to win it all in college hoops... Maybe I should get in while its still +2000?

what's wrong with caffeine?

i drink coffee from about 5am until around 10am, a little over a pot a day. i really think that curbs my appetite so i don't have to eat before 1130-1200 :shrug:

that's what's working for me right now.

i don't drink soda, hardly ever. maybe one a month, if that, and it's a chaser then ;)

i think if you just quit the beer you will lose weight. i quit drinking about 10 years ago for 4 months, didn't eat any differently, and lost 15 pounds. at the rate you're eating you'll lose 50 pounds :mj07:

went on my first real diet at 50. i was 245 :scared

seem to have it under control now but let it get away from me over the holidays. my holidays were thanksgiving thru new years :00hour
