On a good run, so not playing the second half, but would not be surprised to see another Columbia goal. Poland just looks bad, but I will sit back and hope for at least one goal to end a great day.

Another great day today to end a very strong week. Glad I was able to rebound from the slow start. No time to rest so onto tomorrow.

Group A

No intrigue with Egypt/Saudi Arabia. Nothing at stake but pride. I know the Saudis will show up and I expect Egypt to also to produce a better than expected game. No pressure and free flowing play should produce plenty of chances and a few goals, so liking the Ov 2.5 Even

Russia/Uruguay will likely be a snoozer. I already have Uruguay to win the group so can't double up on that. I see a very slow start by both and then each trying to win in the second half. Plus, Russia may be on a roll, but they have not played anyone of real quality especially in the back. I will play the FH draw at -105 and then see if there is a halftime opportunity but I prefer a 0-0 and then hope for 1-0 Uruguay win.

Group B

I do not truly understand the Portugal/Iran line. Portugal advances with a draw so that is the easiest explanation, but Iran needs a result, so while they can play their bunker defense game to start they can not do it the whole game as a draw does them no good (you have to assume Spain gets a result). They will then have to open up and run into a counter. I hate betting on Portugal and this will be 2 times in a row, but I think they will win this game so I will take them -150. Likely a 1 or 2 to nil.

Not exactly sure what we get from Morocco in this game but I am going to assume they play with pride and give Spain a full effort, which will also mean less defensive play. I really like this Spanish team and was very disappointed in the last game. I think they improve tomorrow and take care of business. I will lay the -1.5 Even and also like the Ov 2.5 -115.

All of these plays will be on the smaller side for me. Nothing really stands out to play big. I like some others later in the week so saving profits for the bigger plays. Plus I have already pounded Germany -1.5.

Have some time and will be busy on Tuesday so posting thoughts now. Will update as I play.

Group C

Australia +200/Pk+115 - Not sure how Peru will react here, but I know how Australia will play. They play with heart and all out every game which makes up for their lack of athleticism. They have trouble scoring out of play, but I think they can get it done it this game. If they can get an early goal I think Peru will quit. Peru will also likely sit a few regulars. Most of my money will be on the Pk line and then a little on the ML.

France/Denmark is a tough call. Draw is the obvious play as it sits at +165. Denmark certainly will play for and be happy for a draw. France will not be that motivated either to start, so the FH Draw -115 looks like the better play as I could see France winning this in the second half. Denmark is a team that I simply do not get. They have one world class player and just keep on winning. Even if they qualify I do not see them going far as they are likely to see Croatia.

Group D

Iceland +.5 -130 - I am not willing to write them off yet. Yes, Croatia has looked good, but they are going to rest many players and will not be that motivated to win. Iceland may not have enough to win, but they will play hard and I could easily see a draw.

Argentina Ov 2.5 -120 - Hate this Argentina team, so no way they get my money at -190. However, they will be playing all out in this game which should be wide open. While Nigeria is likely happy with a draw I just do not see it. They should have plenty of opportunities to score as Argentina has to win this game. Should be interesting and while I do not trust Argentina at all I do see some goals in this one.

Thanks Bason! And great plays today. I made my picks last night and took your first 2 that both hit.

For some reason I really liked a draw in the Poland game so I bet on the Draw and took the points (Poland +1/2) could not have been more wrong lol. Still, a good day and a really good 3-day weekend total.

I was kicking myself for not putting more on England...like you say, against Panama...but it was still fun to watch and make some $$$ :)

Good luck to us this week!

Nice late over hit and great win by Uruguay to hit that prop.

I am adding to Spain on the ML -260. I think this is worth laying the lumber. I think both Portugal and Spain want to win the group since they know they get Russia. Trust me, they both want to play Russia versus Uruguay as they know Russia is a weak team. Will parlay them both also.

Well that sucked. The run has definitely ended. I now hate this Portugal team even more. Giving up that late goal was terrible. Spain just played uninspired ball. Ramos was absolutely horrible in this game and responsible for both goals. He just plain sucked the whole game. Spain has to be more attacking if they are going to win but they got a huge break with the late Iran goal. I always hate losing but I really hate losing when teams simply do not play the game. Both teams played not to lose which is inexcusable in my opinion. Will likely come back to haunt both of them.

Making the Argentina Ov 2.5 a larger play now as I like the game and the line movement. I want to get some of the Spain loss back!

I am also adding the Ov 2.5 in the Peru game and making the Australia Pk a smaller play.

I am not playing anything in the France game. Will see how the FH goes and maybe add the 2H. I have no idea how France is going to approach this game so no risking anything upfront.

Iceland +.5 is a small play and I am adding an over play. While Croatia is resting, Iceland needs to not only score but score a few. This should lead to a lot of opportunities and the line is still at 2.

Wed.

Sorry no time for long writeups for now (I do have to work from time to time!)

I already have Germany very large for -1.5. They need to win by 2.

Adding a good size play on Switzerland -140. This line should only climb. CR is simply not that good.

Still looking at Sweden in a Pk and Brazil Ov.

Aussies just could not get it done. Really thought we would get that third goal. France game is a disgrace. Just hate games like that but that is tournament play sometimes.

Both overs have moved. Croatia now 2.5 and Argentina 3. I am more or less all in on the Argentina over as I have bet it multiple times already at 2.5. Sticking with the Ov 2 in Croatia and not adding to it at 2.5, though Iceland has to be very aggressive. Need this Argentina Over, so cheer for some goals.

Had a pounding headache this morning and called in sick so I got some more sleep and then watched the first couple games....mainly the Peru/Australia. Australia looked bad but we had a lot of chances to at least get the Over...esp the one that hit off the right post...thought that was in for sure.

I agree about France/Denmark but at least we made some $$ off it. I almost wonder if they could have a rule that if both teams agree to a tie, then just don't play that game and give each a point. Obviously they won't do that and I'd have to really think about the fairness of that rule but that's more or less what happened.

Not sure how much access/information teams have from the other game but figured when it got late and if they knew Australia was down 2 goals..figured Denmark would open up a little knowing they would advance but trying to win the group.

I'm hoping Messi and Argentina come to play today. I've got the Over...following you...and debating whether to put some on Argentina...gotta think Messi finally has a good game...we'll see lol

Congrats TD, I also had it. I usually do not post the props as it is too much to focus on, but I add goal bets, exact score and HT/FT bets to some games.

Lets hope the scoring continues. Nigeria will have to open up in the second half.

That's awesome! Glad you had it too! I just kept thinking he was due...I hope he goes off this game and rest of the World Cup. I like him a lot. Of course I have my favorite teams too so I don't want him to do too much but I hated to see him slumping.

Back to talk more later...gotta get back to the game...um, match. I'm about 20 min behind but I like to fast forward from time to time too...might be back here at halftime :)

It was brutal to watch but I'll take it for sure!! lol

I thought Nigeria got screwed but I don't really watch enough to know...it looked like a definite handball in the box...did you see it? Other than that though...great goal to win it 2-1 and give us the over!!

Was really pulling for Iceland but I had a lot more on the Over than on Iceland +1/2 so I'll take it.

Its really fun having both games on at the same time but when there is no action and you've got both overs, it can be nerve-racking haha. Great plays and look forward to tomorrow even though I'll be at work, but I'll find a way to follow it, maybe not as close as I'd like to.

Huge late goal. Had a lot riding on that one. Both overs hit and Iceland ran out of gas, but also had them to finish last.

I do think that Nigeria could have been screwed. First real complaint I have had about VAR. I do not care it the ball hits your head first. If your arm is in an unnatural position and the ball hits it, it is a handball. The ref screwed that call up. He got frazzled in this game.

The irony is that all the favorite pairs are advancing. Maybe not in the order predicted, but the top two in every group have advanced. The only group where this likely will not happen is the last group. Kind of nuts given all that has happen.

Tomorrow is all about Germany and Switzerland for me. Both played big already.

I love the Germany group set up. Mexico is acting like they won the world cup and they could still be out. Sweden and Germany 2-0 wins puts Mexico out. Not sure most people realize this. Tons of pressure on Mexico. Sweden will give them a game. Not sure what I am playing yet, but still leaning Sweden in a Pk.

I have already played Spain -160 for Sunday. Will add depending on how tomorrow goes. Russia is not very good.

Russia sucks and we?re exposed finally by a real team and that won?t change vs Spain even if Spain has not looked well at all in my opinion

I agree (Russia only played one real team and were beaten 3-0 by a team that rarely beats anyone by that margin), will be a big play for me even though Spain just cost me a few mortgage payments. Just need Germany and Swiss tomorrow so I can really pound them.

The France/Argentina game is fascinating. I really do not think this Argentina team is very good. I also think the coach has no idea to start. France however always plays to the level of their competition and their coach is struggling with the right team to start. On paper France should win, but it could be a classic.

I think Argentina?s coach is an idiot but I?m not going to act like I?m smarter cause I?m on a couch currently and he?s in Russia lol but I?d be doing some things different. I find it hard to believe they have no one better than Mascherano , no idea why it took so long to bring on Aguero just to make 2 things..

I was screaming for Aguero right after the penalty. Higuain and Di Maria were not good in this game. I have no idea why Dybala does not play. If they want to blanket Messi, he would have some space to work with and even open things up for Messi. Some say they play the same position and can not play together, but I disagree.
